Martha Stewart was not violent, she went to jail for a felony.

She didnt physically hurt a fly.

Exactly.

The cost of this case, which was reported by JS as a VIOLENT hate crime, took 24 CPD detectives away from their other duties for 6 full weeks!

The cost to the city has to be sky high! Gah!

Are we to belive that 2 white guys were walking around downtown Chicago in the middle of the night, wearing MAGA hats?

Hard to believe anyone would dare do that
And the wind chill that night was -40.

What amazes me about all this is that its not just a favor to get a parking ticket dropped, this will effectively end several peoples careers, most notably Foxx, I can't see anyone voting for her again.

All we've heard about her is that she has political aspirations but I can't see Illinois voters forgetting this what made this worth it?

I'm heartened to see Rahm hasn't taken this lying down, I hope he can use whatever political capital he has left to get justice for Chicago on this case. Can the police take a civil suit for the cost of the investigation I wonder?

Jussie Smollett update: Dan Abrams of ABC News says 'There is more to this story that we're not getting'

Abrams said he doesn't think the full story has come to light yet, given that Holmes did not vehemently call for Smollett's alleged attackers to be prosecuted.

"If these guys attacked him out of nowhere and put a noose around his neck and yelled 'MAGA' chants and all this other stuff out of nowhere, she should be absolutely horrified and outraged that this happened," he said of Holmes' remarks. "And of course they should be prosecuted."

"The fact that she's not saying that makes me think there is more to this story that we're not getting," he added.

True, there were many, many others who committed far worse white collar crimes than Martha who weren't even prosecuted. Our justice system isn't always what it should be. Major financial crimes can be far more damaging than many other types of crime.

They probably fear for their lives because they were apart of this rotten JS scheme.

I'm sure they have seen the outrage, and backlash.
I am sure they were warned to keep quiet.

Really? You think?

From the article:

But I would like to make an apology instead, to Smollett himself, and it’s this: I’m truly sorry that I was so complimentary about him.

In fact, I wish I’d gone in much harder.

For the truth is Smollett wasn’t content with just perpetrating an act of wicked deception that grabbed global headlines and made a mockery of real victims of racial or homophobic attacks.

No, he had to go a step further even than that and pretend he’s been completely exonerated of any wrongdoing and is once again the victim – not just of the original ‘attack’, but now of a terrible slur against his good name and reputation.

By doing this, he has confirmed himself to be a truly despicable human being.

It takes a rare kind of execrable douchebag to invoke his mother, God, black history, justice, equality and the ‘betterment of marginalised people’ as he brazenly lies about being cleared over an incident that did unbelievable damage to justice, equality and marginalised people.

Kim Foxx cleans Jussie Smollett up, the Chicago Way

Kim Foxx’s office didn’t merely drop all the charges against Smollett, not long after Foxx began playing “Obama Celebrity Friends” with former first lady Michelle Obama’s onetime chief of staff.

Foxx’s office dropped the charges, yes. But also as part of the deal, her office wiped him clean. His record was expunged.

The stain of the 16 counts in the indictment was scrubbed right off him.

You might say Foxx bathed him in the waters of the Chicago Way, cleansed him, and made a new man out of him.

And now he’s smirking at the city, the mayor, the cops, everyone. Can’t wait until he files that multimillion-dollar lawsuit.

This is absolutely ridiculous. Things like this (charges dropped for political reasons) are the types of things that drive anger against the justice system and drives anger that leads to things like racism. Nothing good will come from this.

Kim Foxx needs to be investigated.
