Oh and he wanted a raise and the producers of Empire to bend over backwards for his highness after they received the threat letter he also masterminded. But the threat letter didn't get the response he wanted so he upped the ante.

Thanks! I had forgotten about the letter. Instead of a raise he got cut. I’m glad that Empire didn’t waiver in taking him back.

Good on the producers of the show. He's a pariah. Putin has Belarus and Jussie has his siblings. The rest of the world knows exactly what these two men really are.

Amazing how some politicos would risk their careers over an actor just to make a point. She chose to look the other way regardless if the evidence would be found incriminating.

She may have chose to look the other way., but I tend to think she was 'persuaded' to look the other way. In the end, she did sweep this all under the rug....until the dirt was too much to bear.

Jussie Smollett Will Be Released from Jail Pending Appeal


Jussie Smollett is going free -- at least for now -- while he tries to get his sentence for the hoax attack overturned.

The appeals court ordered Jussie's release during the appeal process. He's being released from Cook County Jail on his own recognizance, but if he misses any future hearings it'll cost him $150,000. It's unclear when exactly he'll be walking free.

Clearly, the state isn't happy with the decision ... its response to the ask for release reads, in part, "Rather than attempt to meet his burden of showing good cause for his immediate release, Mr. Smollett makes only cursory, woefully undeveloped arguments. Each fails to demonstrate good cause to stay his jail sentence."
