A round of advil for the group, with a vodka chaser!

Also... she left him with Shakela? How many different stories has Lanisha spread around?

I don't know if she is just trying to make herself look better, or if she is actually trying to cover for herself, but I sure don't like her very much.

I am starting to get the feeling that she moves around a lot because she is lazy and irresponsible and wears out her welcome.

I don't know why, but the idea that she wanted to move from Atlanta because her mother was sick of being the primary carer for Kyrian while she did goodness knows what is crystal clear in my mind.

I think she lived with her grandmother in Chicago before going to Georgia, and likely burned her out too.

This makes soooooo much sense! I couldn't for the life of me figure out why a new mom with a tiny child would keep moving the way she did. Thanks for posting this.

The woman she briefly lived with in Omaha said as much. Mom wouldn't get a job and wasn't even able to pay for the babies basic needs. I do believe she wore out her welcome with many people.
Here's the thing, as much as I do not really like this person there is surely a mental illness or learning impairment at play here don't you think? I cannot imagine a mentally sound, emotionally healthy woman behaving in this manner.

Thank you...pretty interesting.

I don't think it's likely in Kyrian's case but possible. I think it's more likely that the COD could've been determined from the torso and/or limbs so they were disposed of somewhere else.

Why not leave the baby wih the grandparents I mean really. Why not call and see if they could come stay if it was truly legit?

Her family has stated as much. Apparently they had no idea Mom was having so many problems coping.

From your link:

"Lanisha Knox used to live very close to the pond where Kyrian Knox's body was found. Her former daycare worker in Chicago told 13 News it would have been a 5-minute walk from Lanisha Knox's Chicago home to that spot."

I don't know if it's a mental impairment or learning disability as much as just a sad sad sign of the times. A sense of entitlement? Narcissism? Living in a world where what you project via social media matters more than your actual actions? I don't know man. I've known more than a few people like this, they aren't mentally ill, they're just a-holes who think the world owes them a favor because they've not had everything go their way.

I'm going to qualify this... she may be mentally ill, just going off what little I've 'seen' and heard of her this far.

I assume Ky's head, arms and feet were disposed of in the lagoon in order to hide his identity. I believe they honestly thought they would never be found and the irony that they are the only parts of him found is not lost on me. I thank God whoever harmed him made the decision. If they had not thought they were so sly, Ky would never have been found.

Cheers! I have already poured myself some wine. The last two days have really left me with a heavy heart.

You could be totally right. Argh, I have to admit I'm seeing a big change in younger people's values and their lack of responsibility.

My guess is that she had been told to straighten up her act multiple times by Mom and grandma, to make her son a priority, and she just wasn't into doing that. She knew they weren't an option, because they would tell her to woman up and care for her boy. So she started posting all sorts of stuff about how she was gonna fix her life! Do right for Kyrian! Eating right! Getting jobs!

While not changing a thing. :(

A long time ago I mentioned selling organs and as far fetched as it seems, I still can't help but wonder about it, especially with the trip to sell plasma...

You know, at this point, I am willing to consider that as a possibility.

I don't think D and k would be this thoughtful - to hide the body parts that determine COD. I don't think they would think that far in advance. Either way, there's a dead baby in their hands. Why dismember him - that just makes their actions worse.

I think they dismembered him for some other reason- what reason that is, I have no idea!

The only thing I can come up with as to why Ky was dismembered was to hide his identity. But, surely at least a few of these players are seasoned enough to know ID can come from something other than facial recognition, fingerprint/footprint recognition. What made the players think DNA would not come into play?

If they were travelling from Rockford to Chicago to dispose of him he may have been dismembered because it would be easier to travel that way. :(

I'd bet the rest of him is either in Rockford or somewhere between there and the city.

Yeah i guess I was raised old school where you take the kids in your care and keeping and let the parents sink or swim on their own. My mother and father did that with my cousin. While his parents were being selfish, they took him in whenever. Just seems thats not the case anymore....sad.

It's possible they would have taken him in, but she chose to save face (I can't think of a better way to put it) and so she didn't ask.
