Dumb question... But are there any other counties we should watch that are in the areas involved with this crime?

I think that's a great question! Maybe some locals can help us out.

As much as I hate to come into a case late, it was asked on the other thread before it was closed - did anyhitng come of the adult bones that were found nearby?

I will try to catch up. This is so bittersweet.

No, Stelehart, no word on the adult bones found nearby.

13 News spoke with his mother, Lanisha Knox, over the phone after it was made public. She sounded devastated as she could barely get through her short conversation with us.

Knox said she made repeated attempts in early September to go to Rockford to pick Kyrian up, but the family who was watching him always made an excuse about why it wasn’t good timing

Naron Harris, the boy’s great-uncle, held up a white t-shirt with Kyrian Knox’s picture on it in the dim yellow glow of the streetlight at the family’s West Side home. “It’s a bad situation,” he said. “It’s a bad situation.”

So sad to update the page and see the red writing.

I know it is the outcome we all suspected but it really doesn't make it any easier. RIP you beautiful boy, you deserved so much more :( xx

I think this is the first WS case that has actually brought me to tears. I'm just sitting here, tears streaming down my face, my own children wondering what's wrong but far too young to understand. Rest peacefully sweet angel. You deserved better. :crying:

Just wait, there will be more that bring you to tears. But that's a good thing...that means you have a heart, a conscience, and compassion. Unlike the creatures who do things like this to precious children.

Contacted at that time in the Winnebago County Jail, Harris said that Lanisha Knox, a friend of his daughter, dropped Kyrian off at his Rockford home in August with a pack of diapers and $30. “What the hell am I supposed to do with $30 and a pack of diapers?

Quoted from JerseyGirl's link to article in rr.com, BBM.
Maybe take care of the child, and if you can't/won't call someone who will???????????????? ARGHHHH:gaah:

Omg omg omg. I'm shocked. This poor angel. Omg. RIP kyrian.

I always felt strongly that Kyrian was Garfield Doe. At least work can begin to try to find out what happened, who is responsible and pursue justice.

Poor little guy. dang it.

This is so true. I have friends who say " why do you go to such a depressing and upsetting forum''? ( WS) And I often wonder why I do, but like all of you , it's hard to stay away once you get the bug for it. I like to think that my concern for these little ' stranger babies' on the internet does make a difference. Does it make a difference to each child individually ? No, probably not. But it does make a difference when some mom / dad/ uncle/ sitter/ boyfriend has taken a life and no one seems to care and we can see from the history that these babies had a horrible life before their deaths. It matters that there are 1000s of people remembering their precious faces and names forever. I'm sure we can all rattle of 20 or 30 or more names right now of cases that have permanently left a mark on our spirit and that matters. They are a part of us now, in a small way. When we remember our own fun times and happy childhood moments, we are also remembering their lives. They are permanent now , although their bodies have been erased from the earth. Don't lose heart and don't stop loving the babies. It matters and we all know it or we wouldn't sign in every day to check ' our babies' .

I agree, Boss. It won't be long now until they can put it all together.

OK, I'm not one for adding new laws. But we need a new law, one that holds responsible the person that decides to keep a child or care for a child. The person responsible for a child is responsible for knowing where the child is at all times. Responsible for medical, shelter, clothing..all those things that go with CARING for a child. Maybe different levels of neglect or abuse, I don't know. But when a child is missing, and is later found dead.

Regardless of whom murdered a child, a mother is responsible for her child. That includes making certain the child is safe. I want to see the murderer and/or mother held responsible for the welfare of little Kyrian. In my opinion, even if a mother places her child in the care of a sitter, she still has responsibility. I don't care after the fact about tears, I care about responsibility DURING the child's life. Children and babies have rights too.

The amount of time this baby boy had spent in childcare is not acceptable to me.

I am mad.
