I've seen nothing to indicate she was practising or not.

It's also possible, imo, because of her mental illness Amy would have been easy prey for someone who wanted a child. It might be a stretch, but it is possible imo. The question is then how would she have met someone wanting a child but kept it hidden from investigators.

Regarding the blood and nosebleeds. If Timmy had suffered nosebleeds wouldn't there be some kind of record of such from his pediatrician? I'd imagine this would have been brought to Timmy's pediatricians attention either during a well being check or sick visit.

Nosebleeds are virtually never dangerous and the blood loss is almost always minimal

Causes of nosebleeds.

  • Nose picking – this irritates the nose and exposes blood vessels that can easily be scratched open.
  • Trauma – getting hit in the nose often causes bleeding. This doesn't mean the nose is broken or anything serious has happened.
  • Sinus infection, nasal allergies, or a bad cold – severe nasal congestion and irritation can cause bleeding.
  • Dry air – this dries out the nasal lining and can be irritating, especially in a heated room.
  • Bacterial infection or impetigo – the nasal lining just inside the nose past where the skin ends is susceptible to infection from bacteria. It causes a red, sore, crusty area just inside the nose and on the skin in the front of the nostrils. Bacteria can irritate this area even without an obvious sore, crusty patch.
  • Blood clotting problems – this is rare and seldom worth checking for unless your doctor has a concern about this possibility.

Again, with HIPAA, LE can obtain a subpoena and request medical information when it pertains to a missing persons case or criminal case.

During the winter months it gets pretty dry in this area. Especially in homes without a humidifier.

I too wish they would explain "concerning" amount of blood. There is no indication from LE there was enough blood to determine the vehicle as being a crime scene, at least not one that has been released to the public. Nor has LE indicated they believe enough blood existed to believe it was life threatening.

I sure wish there was more info available and I wish so badly Timmy could be found.

Where could he possibly be?

We baby-sit a little boy who often has nosebleeds, usually it's not much and can be stopped quickly but sometimes there is a lot of blood and it will take a long time to get it to stop. (The last time this happened he sat grumpily in a chair for quite a while holding several wadded up paper-towels to his nose and saying "By dose is tired ob dis.") It's enough that the amount of blood could easily be called "concerning", in my opinion.

We've yet to hear any further information on the blood in the car, which tells me (IMO) that there is more going on in this case than the public knows. I can't imagine that Amy was able to take two trips out to the sterling area and and not leave more of a trace. I find it interesting that when taking the trips she was not aware of the i-Pass toll record trail she was leaving, but she apparently disposed of it on the fateful trip. She apparently was trying hard not to leave a trail, which leads me to believe Timmothy may be still alive due to the amount of apparent planning and the effort she went to. I also believe that there was something seriously wrong with Amy's perception of her husband either as a husband or as a father and that her acts are related to her perception of him...meaning she did this to 'get to him'....and the statement in the letter '...you'll never find him"....was directed at him and was her way trying to drive him crazy. Unbelievable there is no trace or news. SAD!

with your post as a spring board...

Of interest are those two trips to the Sterling area. We know she made at least two. (she could have made more not bringing her i-pass or phone) but thinking of those two, what could she possibly have been doing there?

Got me wondering if perhaps she went to sterling to use the internet at the library to avoid being traced. Perhaps using the library to communicate with someone she met to pass Timmothy off to, or to plan and prepare for a burial site where he might never be found.

I've never used the internet at the library and I am not local, so I don't know how close the library is to where her phone pinged when she made these two trips( or even if they had pings in addition to the toll info from her i-pass, don't recall). Or if an ID might be required for use of the internet at the library, or even a library card. What if she got a library card out there? Or would she have one as a college student for use in various area's? Had she taken any classes? Did she have a library card she could have used at various locations?

I guess I am just thinking outloud. There is really no way for me to know if LE would look into something like this, or even how long libraries might keep records.

Still praying for answers to Timmothy's disappearance. :praying:

I know at our local library you can not use the computer without a library card and you can not get a card unless you are a town resident. You must also show proof that you are a town resident (ie DL, utility bill, etc). The library near work will let you join for a $25 fee if you are not a resident of the town but are a resident of a near by town. Again you must show proof.
This is only from my own experience here in NY and from when I was a college student in Texas. I assume all librarys are the same but I could be wrong.

Prayers for little Timmothy. Poor little guy.

bumping for Timmy. Where are you Timmy? Praying for a break in this case soon.

Today (Oct 18) is Timothy's 7th birthday.

Prayers that he is somewhere celebrating it ... and prayers for his father.

Happy birthday where ever you are Timmy. Sending prayers for you, your daddy and family as I know this will be an especially difficult day for them not having found you yet.

Still praying for answers into Timmy's disappearance.

Happy Birthday Timmothy! Praying that you are safe. When I think of you, I see your big happy smile : )

Good point about other possible trips that weren't caught on i-Pass. I find it hard to believe there is no other evidence. Receipts, security video, cell phone pings from the 2 other trips....something?

LE still closed lipped about the blood?

Very interesting detail about the dirt, grass, location, etc.

Here's one version of the update:

http://www.wrex.com/story/16074147/new-information-released-in-missing-aurora-boy-case

-->Sediments and plant material on the vehicle indicate that it was stopped for an unknown period of time on a wide gravel shoulder, gravel road, or short gravel turnout either adjacent to, or just off of, an asphalt secondary road that had at one time, been treated with glass road-marking beads. In close proximity to the gravel shoulder or road where the vehicle stopped, it backed into a grassy meadow or field to a spot that is nearly treeless. There are birch and oak trees in the general area but not directly over or at the spot where the SUV stopped. Both Queen Anne's Lace and black mustard plants grow in a row along the border of the field or the shoulder of the road.

In addition, there is no corn growing in or adjacent to the spot where the SUV stopped, nor is there any indication that the area had been used for agriculture in the recent past. Instead, the evidence strongly suggests that grasses have been the only major plants growing in the immediate area which leads scientists to believe that it is a meadow and not, for example, a field that had once been farmland and not recently sown. Forensic results indicate that the grass was not cut which helps rule out a rural residential lawn or a park. There is also a strong likelihood that there is a pond, small stream, or creek in the area.

Scientists further believe that the meadow is most likely in Northwestern Illinois with Lee and Whiteside Counties as the most likely locations. However, areas in Carroll, Ogle, Stephenson, and Winnebago Counties cannot be ruled out at this time. The last time anyone had contact with Timmothy was on May 13 when he talked to a relative on Amy's cell phone at about 1:30 p.m. That call was traced to a point about five miles west of Sterling, IL, near Route 40. Further processing of the materials found on the vehicle are continuing.

Before police turned the SUV over to the scientific lab, Aurora police say they did find a large amount of Timmothy's blood in the backseat. Timmothy's family said it is possible it is from a bloody nose he suffered recently.

The knife police say Amy used to commit suicide was also tested and only had her blood on it.

From the WREX link posted previously:

Police continue to ask anyone who spends time outdoors in the I-88 and I-39 corridors to be on the lookout for clues to Timmothy's disappearance. Some of those clues include items missing from the Pitzen vehicle: Timmothy's Spider Man backpack, several toys and a tube of toothpaste Amy had bought for Timmothy before he disappeared, and Amy's cell phone and I-Pass device.

<snip>

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the Aurora Police Department at (630) 256-5500, or Aurora Area Crime Stoppers at (630) 892-1000. A cash reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information that leads to Timmothy.

I wish I was in more of a position to help.

$5000 doesn't seem like very much for a missing child.

I wish LE would publicly give more information regarding the blood found in the car. Have they ruled out it was enough blood to believe Timmy is deceased? Is the blood only on the seat near where his car or booster seat was located? Or is there a trail indicating Timmy was bleeding when exiting the car? Is the blood pattern consistent with that of a nose bleed? We know Timmy's family says the blood could have resulted from a nose bleed. What do the forensic experts say?

I'd also like to know more about the gravel road she may have been on. Gravel as in stones? Or gravel as in the tiny gravel used in county forest preserves on various trails for walking and biking?

New video....

Looks like she could be throwing away a white I-Pass transponder as she enteres the Sullivan Foods store in Winnebago????

Also, she clearly changed clothes on Friday. The old vid of them checking out of Kalahari she was wearing a dark shirt with lettering at the top and dark Khaki capris....in the new vid, same day but later entering the Sullivan Foods in Winnegabo she's wearing a shirt with a very different large square logo and shorts.....looks like the same shirt she wore on the vid when checking into the Kalahari.
