I've wondered this also as well as the opposite. Someone may have seen it in their best interest to throw some negative attention there. A no-bridge enthusiast so to speak.

(That was usually the plot on Scooby-Doo!)

"not a suspect" how much clearer do you need? By this logic, everyone is a suspect. . . .

The purpose of language isn't always to make clear, but sometimes to obscure. "Not a suspect" is often used merely to prevent legal and administrative problems for LE. Most people arrested and prosecuted for crimes are never named as suspects until their arrests. In the Teresa Sievers case, for example, her husband "wasn't a suspect" until he was arrested more than half a year later, though a spouse is automatically first on the list of people police look at and he was clearly under suspicion from the day of the funeral, when he was seen throwing out office equipment with possibly inconvenient data on it. So yes, everyone is a suspect, though naturally investigations typically start with people in the area at the time, people known to have committed similar crimes in the past, people with a known motive, etc.

I saw something dangeling and swinging to and fro half behind BG's left leg. Looks like a long empty pouch (maybe transparent) with something in it only at the bottom. You will recognize it more clear in the gif with animated 2 pics of the perp. It's blurred but one can see the difference when BG "walks".View attachment 115410

It almost appears to me that there is something long and thin hanging on suspects right side, it has a shine/whitness to it. Jmo

Am I nuts or is this case going cold which would be so very sad on top of everything else about it.

I too had read somewhere (hoping I can remember where) that the cemetery was manned by one person.

Just two days ago LE again asked for tips to try to identify Bridge Guy. Odd request if they know who he is...

It's so obvious that BG is NOT RL. There are too many reasons to list why that is the case.

I respect those who still think that RL may be involved (although, I completely disagree), but to post that comparison pic with RL and BG, IMO, is just baiting at this point. :fish:

MOO.

No names, but does anyone know if a distant relative like a cousin or second cousin of either girl or their families lives within a 15 minute walk from the crime scene? TIA

One of the things I find interesting is labeled as 2 on the attached photo.

It describes a corn crib style barn that is apparently still standing. The photo below is from 1900 and I'd be curious to know if remnants are still there. If so, it could be a very convenient spot to hide out in. Very close to bridge and no houses nearby.

We have asked if there are locals lurking, if that is still there, perhaps part of the creek bottoms nature trail but I have not seen an answer.
Somewhere, don't remember if here in a much earlier thread or on another site I saw someone post like it was known that lately there had been people hanging out there doing drugs and the context made me think someone could be partially inhabiting an unused barn or shed for the purpose of making meth. Plus I've read several news articles of arrests in the area that come from hidey holes like that.

Their parents and grandparents live within a 15 minute walk so it's possible some other relatives do too.

I agree that IMO I just can't see them looking alike. I still remember someone saying, unless he grew a sympathy belly. For me hat or no hat hair or no hair. I just can't see it. But like you respect the opinion. I just see a slightly younger person. Or someone less aged looking. This makes me believe he is recognizable to someone. If one can think he doesn't look like someone, I would hope someone would think BG looks like whoever he really is idk IMO always

every time i look at this pic i see so many similarities between the two.

It is like jinxed: two people IMO despite 95% (??) similarity ... :tantrum:

Read Ember123 above for an interesting link to an interesting picture on Scanner Thread page 25. Could the answer be plain as the nose on that face? Quite possibly, but, err, I IMO of course! MOOOOOOOOOO!

but you also have to keep in mind that LE rarely identifies a suspect until the time of arrest. Identifying BG as a suspect was unusual.

What they have yet to do with RL is to clear him.

Not intending to be disrespectful but identifying suspects is certainly involved in the course of a police investigation.

Feel free to correct me but I think what you might by saying is ---
"you also have to keep in mind that LE rarely PUBLICLYidentifies a suspect until the time of arrest."

In other words, LE do not issue press releases telling us so-and-so are definite suspects. But they certainly do identify suspects during the course of their internal investigations. And that they've told us numerous times that RL is NOT a suspect means his name is not on the list of suspects for this case.

"Identifying BG as a suspect was unusual. "

I sort of disagree. Sure, LE says they don't know the identity of BG. But it's quite common when someone is seen fleeing from a crime the suspect becomes someone who fits that general description of that person. In this case LE has determined their suspect is someone who appears similar to image in the photo that they've released.

LE has also said they have other information that hasn't been released so when they say RL isn't a suspect, they know more than us. I sometimes get the impression some people think RL MUST be a suspect if they think he resembles the image, and LE must be blind or stupid or something worse. The existence of RL has been known since the very onset and let's not think LE needs us to be critical of how they do their work.

What this case has taught me is anyone remotely connected with a tragic incident should not publicly speak or allow themselves to be photographed by the media. Seriously.

Leftie here, I wear my watch on my right wrist. My brother is the same way. I think most lefties wear it on the right, at least that's what I have observed over the years.

What if it's a smart pedometer like a Fitbit and not a watch?

No I don't think being wet or broken hinders what they can recover if they have the phone. If they have to rely totally on the cloud then they would be more limited because I don't think everything that gets stored in phone memory is available from cloud storage. There was something interesting on the scanner thread that happened within just an hour or 1.5 hrs after they found the bodies that could lead you to think they recovered the phone. If they were only going off cloud storage they could have that the 13th. So it's my theory that they did recover at least Libby's phone.

BBM

Exactly ocgrad. If we remember that the night of the 13th LE felt there was no danger to the girls other than suffering from the elements of cold weather.

If that video was on a cloud, they would have known exactly what kind of danger the girls would have been in on the 13th. So, to me, it means they have the phone and it was recorded on that phone's video system, imo.

That guy hasn't committed a crime since 1996 or 1998 though. Do you reckon he's going to snap after 20 years? What do you think would lead to that? It is possible I suppose but I am just curious what you think would lead to a lapse after that much time.

Scan thread or page 25 is interesting right off the bat. I am not tech savvy AT ALL but fou d it easy to navigate. Will sleep better now having seen this. MOO!

Can you explain what thread or page 25 is? Do you mean to go back to thread 25?
TIA
