9 weeks now and stlll no arrest and RL still has not been attrested for this crime.

LE seem to be telling the truth when they say they don't have much optimism

Another reason the watch is important is that some men never wear them. My husband used to wear one, but now he just uses his cellphone to tell the time. If someone thinks BG looks slightly familiar to them, the watch could be yet another identifying factor. It's a very small factor, but it could still be used to either include or exclude someone, just as the jacket might. Obviously, it's not to be taken as 100% accurate proof, since someone could have a watch or blue jacket that's not known to close family, friends, or acquaintances.

I don't see anything special about that parcel, other than it had a mortgage exemption and a homestead credit on it. Up in Elkhart County, a homestead credit can only be filed on the parcel that the home sits on. Maybe at one time, there was a house there or things are different in Carroll County? I also noticed the taxes on that parcel went down a lot after the RM took place.

Investors try to put out as little money as possible and get the biggest return on their investment. It might be that the investor offered to get the 2 banks off RL's back through the reverse mortgage on that piece but added the stipulation that the RM covered his entire property as long as he lived there. If the investor said everything just right, RL may have agreed to it because it was his intent to live there until he died.

I'd like to hear from someone in the lending business.

Not from the lending business but if I was RL I wouldn't want that piece of property being picked up by: a developer: someone who wishes to build on it: someone expanding the cemetery to maybe include a mausoleum etc.

In other words, I suspect RL likes his privacy that the 40 acres gives him. No use having an interloper coming in and messing with that. (That's how I'd feel about it, anyway).

I have ten acres of heavily wooded area on my property. There are no trails or paths, but is still very walk-able. If BG was familiar enough with the lay of the land and wanted to avoid detection, or someone who also was using the trails, he may have chosen the "off the beaten path" way to leave the general area.

In the actual photo, what I see is his right hand in his pocket and his sleeve covering his wrist.

It's possible he followed the creek bed out of there, ( i think he was on foot ) that has the appearance of flooding on occasion, in the pics i have seen the land doesn't have much growth, trees, bushes. I have walked creeks like that before, easy to do that time year. If if walked on the edge in the creek there would be no prints to follow. I am sure he left in a hurry after murdering two girls, and i doubt he headed west towards town. Jmo

I lived in a small town like that one, and it's my opinion that at least one of the local LE would have been able to recognize him if he was local. I would have to believe that the images were looked at by all of them before they were released and before the billboards were put out in 46 states. He's not local. Jmo

I agree. The only thing is that somewhere in those 16000 tips, LE may have gotten a tip that so-and-so is a splitting image of BG. Considering there's millions of men who'd hypothetically be a match for the image, a likeness with no further connection, no red flag criminal record, other than he resided within travelling distance probably isn't going to create a lot of attention. Unfortunately more time that passes, the more difficult it is to verify alibis. They may've already interviewed him without realizing it and weren't able to take it any further.

I'm not quite ready to believe it was total random act by a stranger because it doesn't seem the location was likely to be happened upon by chance. And the culprit may have had a certain level of familiarity to know the odds of witnesses were low. " Down the hill" makes it appear there was an element of preplanning as well. MOO

I for one have said from the begging that the photo released of BG was not done so that random people on websleuths and social media could possibly match it to another random photo of an individual. The Image was released so that somebody that knew BG could identify them. I highly doubt anyone here is more qualified to match photos of random individuals than LE is. I still shutter to think how often LE has probably had to waste time taking tips from people on the internet saying, "I saw a picture of so and so online and he looks like BG". Insert LE eye roll here......MOO

I agree with the intent of the release of the image of BG.

The problem that LE has right now is that there could be someone out there that thinks they recognize BG but they know the person does not sound like the audio recording. And conversely there could be someone that thinks they recognize the voice from the audio but the person with that voice doesn't look like BG. If there was one thing that LE could do that might bring them the very tip they need it would be to inform the public if there were two or more participants involved in these murders.

I've thought the same. Then I second guess myself with well he'd have had to have been gone before the helicopter showed up right? Or he just wasn't seen. I can't decide. I don't know how far down the creek the heli saw. Can't remember. Also can't remember if helicopter was day one or two. I need a note pad.

If it is a hoodie they should have a idea of what type and pattern, if they can see he has facial hair they could identify the color even if they explain he may not have it now. They can enhance and see his image better than we can even if these frames all they have. But at least they be clear if they suspect this is his voice or not.

If I was innocent of a double murder I'd push my attorney to press LE to clear me publicly if they seemed reluctant to do so. Why wouldn't they clear someone if they knew they were not involved but speculation to the contrary was running wild? IMO they would clear someone if they were able to. They have cleared some but they're not in the spotlight, IMO.

I know right... the more these pics get messed with and placed with different backgrounds and settings the more I wonder if he was even" on the bridge in the first place..Or was he placed there..

I googled a and l suspect and found what you are talking about. It was circled and it is creepy. Imo always.

I think they used a drone but not sure if it was 2/13 or 2/14. I'll see if I can find it. I know some news footage near the crime scene was from a news drone, but skibs pointed out on some footage they used a helo because the skids were visible in frames.

I have called the road a private driveway because it leads to someone's house.

The address for that house is on N625W. So I agree that just because the pavement ends and it turns to gravel doesn't mean it's really private.
