I’m more interested in hearing and seeing the evidence the state has against her.

“She said.” - She also has an agenda.

Barnett enjoys being a martyr- I could almost hear the nails being pounded ... as she spoke and coughed because being arrested is rough don’t ya know.
Enjoying being a martyr in her clothes from Target & her frizzy hair (she said it, not me)

But she rattled off a lot of information that rang true to me.
Information that will corroborate her version or put her behind bars if it’s proven she’s a prolific liar. Barnett is many things but stupid isn’t one of them.
Now her version may be corroborated and Natalia may actually STILL be a child.
I however remain committed to believing she’s an adult.
The Homeland Security thing confuses me too...perhaps they were investigating child/human trafficking...? That’s a very real possibility.

I noticed in the affidavit Natalia SKIPS over two prior failed adoptive placements. Natalia’s story doesn’t fit HER OWN timeline.

I do drive into Canada a couple times a year. It requires a passport or an enhanced drivers license. I do notice the border agent typing into a computer as I sit waiting to be questioned. I think it’s my license plate number. When they take my drivers license it looks like they swipe it. Of course I’m a sitting lower than they are so I cannot be absolutely sure. Also, it is commonly said that people with a DUI conviction cannot enter Canada. I’ve read people saying they were denied entry for this reason but I don’t personally know anyone who said this.

Overall , I think there would be a record kept. Where at , for how long, I don’t know.

It’s good! It happens to all at some point.

I haven’t made the border cross into Canada in over 20 years. Would there be a paper trail showing his border crossings?

Also, does he have bank records showing transactions made in Tippeecanoe County, or GPS evidence proving he frequently traveled to “deal with the N situation”?

He has a stamped passport

If half of what the mother said in her video is true she has a ton of corroboration across multiple agencies that she tried repeatedly to get help for her now “adult daughter”
She also claimed her ex-husband frequently traveled back & forth to Canada dealin with the Natalia situation

I believe that can be true. That doesn’t preclude abandonment of a child. He apparently believed she was a child when they left her so I can see why he would find it necessary to sometimes come back and deal with things. Like the guardianship petition for example.

I find her to be a liar but sometimes there’s truth among the lies.

Barnett mentioned something on her video - she said those bone density tests came with a noted caveat - Natalia was at least that age but were not definitive for determining her age with certainty.

And yet they determined her age to be 22 with certainty?

Regardless, the tests showed an approximate age which seems to line up with what the supposed birth mother states. There’s a big difference between 8 and 20 and 11 and 22.

Oh no offense taken!

So you were totally flat at age 20 but had breasts suddenly at age 28? Without pregnancy?

That doesn’t seem to make sense.

Flat at 18 - they grew substantially between 23-24 as did my hips & butt. I began my period at age 14.

Weight gain?

Did you see his explanation for this on Dr. Oz?

That’s fantastic. Thanks for posting. Now we have a name. He can be found on YouTube, BTW.

Who said Natalia skipped over two prior failed adoptive placements? That’s not her affidavit. That’s a cop’s affidavit. Why would he need to include any previous adoption information? It’s a probable cause affidavit. It doesn’t need to include a life history. Just facts establishing how she got here and when she came to the Barrett’s.

Once again, They investigated for five years before charging. They know her adoptive history.

I didn't mean that in a rude way. I assumed you went from underweight to a healthier weight. 10-15 pounds can give you curves when you usually are extra thin.

Ha!, I just finished watching it. And no biggie but I noticed his family practice is now in Westfield, where Michael resides.

The stationery would be used in a private practice affiliate. But it reads as opinion. He failed to order or include past medical reports, scans, or appropriate documents to support his opinion .

Looks like a big favor to me.

I was skinny - and trust me it was not from lack of eating! I used to be able to eat like a pro football player and never gain single ounce ...my point was ..metabolism is funny thing.

Perhaps each place of entry to Canada is different and varies by whether entry is via automobile or airplane. That said, my daughter just went to Canada last month (as a passenger in a car) and presented her passport, not drivers license, as she was hoping to get it stamped. They did NOT stamp her passport. I would want to see evidence of Michael’s claim of a stamped passport.

I know what you mean. Comparing your body or mine to Natalia's there must be differences. Even if you don't look at breast size, her face matures. I would also put some stock in the tests that gave her an age around 8 and 11. I have a problem the Barnetts would let someone dupe them and keep their last name. If they rented an apt for her and something happened there like an accident they could be liable. If they really thought she was a con artist why put themselves at risk?

The licences with the flags on them don't require stamping either. Do they have an ez pass?

Mrs Barnett said he had a passport with all the stamps. That’s why I said she has a ton of corroboration if all of what she said is true. Multiple hospitals, doctors, social workers, passport, phone bills, therapists communication with all sorts of agencies. She said the Mann’s dealt with a team of professionals and were advised to stay away from Natalia-
My point is why would she claim all of this - and a HUGE file mentioned in the linked article if she’s lying?
