December 27th interview:

Bynum said he's dealt with negative attention spurred by the case, including vandalism to their car and an episode in November in which someone faked a "confession" from him and his wife on social media.

"They blame us and get everyone riled up," he said. "There's something like 6,000 people in that (social media group), but only 12 actually care."...
"People can say they understand, but unless they've had someone disappear, they don't," Eugene Bynum said. "I've been Diamond's primary caretaker for eight years, and I feel like my whole world isn't the same."

December 24th:

Gary police Sgt. Greg Wolf has followed up on leads in Hammond, East Chicago and Chicago's South Side but nothing has panned out, department spokesman Lt. Thomas Pawlak said.

Wolf will continue to follow up on any tips, he said. DNA testing has been completed and entered into a national database for missing persons.

How awful that people would be vandalizing their property and posting fake confessions supposedly by made by her own family! There are more monsters out there than just pedophiles and murderers!
It is hard for me to imagine that these 2 people would not stand out to anyone in another suburb or area of town. It really scares me to imagine what has happened to them. Praying for the whole family!

Lol, I laughed too when I came on and had seen my typo and your post. Oops, :blushing:.....I agree we need to laugh sometimes with these cases that pull at our heartstrings. Praying for Diamond and King.

I'm surprised and saddened that so little attention has been paid to Diamond and King.

It bothers me because I've lost hope. I feel they are gone. Deceased.

Hope they are found soon.

I started this case full of enthusiasm and had to beg on other threads to get people to look at it. I think because of the thread title people assume it's a parent and child or a custody issue, they don't realise Diamond is developmentally disabled and we realistically have TWO children missing here. Either that or maybe the police suspect foul play and are watching and waiting?

The family were out driving through town in the early days searching for them and yelling their names through a loud hailer. Yet there's nothing. I feel miffed with the police, the media, the community and a little bit with social media (including us!) for not getting this case "out there". Think about all the other missing toddlers we've had since last July: DeOrr, same month, just started thread 21. Lonzie, Noah, Rainn, Kyrian. Little Titus a couple of days ago, way more posts in 2 days than King has had in 7 months.

It's crazy.... what do we do about it?!
