Translation (continued):

38:16 (view from alternate angle) - “Let’s look at this in slow motion… What I want to show here is that this man was lying... He says it’s the cruise ships fault because he thought the window was closed... but he knew it was open!....... its obvious, so obvious!... his head is completely out [host continues about how it is obvious the man is lying]

41:08 (Slow-motion from alternate angle) - “Pay close attention to where his arms are [while holding her over the rail and you can see part of his elbow]... now his body is leaning forward so much that you CAN’T SEE HIS ARMS ANYMORE… he has the girl exposed to the void!... he knew it was open... he stays like that for a while… then you’ll see him fall backwards...”

Host says that what he wants to prove by showing this is that this man is a liar. He emphasizes this point over and over. Essentially he says that the man tried to smear Puerto Rico and blame the cruise line and this video proves without a doubt that he’s a liar. Host also clarifies again that their video is not the same [quality] as what the courts and prosecution likely have. He thinks prosecution’s video will be much better quality and much clearer than their copy.

The video is very long so this is a rough translation of what they are talking about. Hope this helps!

The irony here, is that Chloe could have banged on the glass as much as she wanted, at her level. And been perfectly safe.

I suspect the glass banging was just a cover story. As was the original lie to the parents about thinking there was glass there which he ended up locking himself into. JMO

Until one day, when she decided to bang on a breakable window or aquarium and of course didn't realize the danger in doing so. Because for some odd off the wall reason, she was encouraged to partake in such a dangerous pastime. Hmmmmm. Never have I EVER encountered ANYONE who thought that babies or children banging on glass was in any way shape or form reasonable. But then, never have I ever heard of a toddler flying out the window of a cruise ship. Until now.

Actually the videos could have come directly from Winkleman unknowingly since they looked telecined. A reporter invited to view the video could have gone in with a hidden cam and recorded it.

That would be my guess too. Winkleman showed the video to a lot of reporters, it wouldn’t surprise me if one of them secretly taped it.

The family was probably banking [ahem] on getting the video dismissed so it is doubtful it came from them.

Maybe the attorney had assured the family that he would be able to get the video dismissed. And they never expected it to be shown to the public.

Otherwise how on earth did grandpa think he could expect anyone to believe his ever-changing story and excuses?

Any of his excuses would not have prevented him from knowing the window was open, since the video showed him with his entire head and shoulders outside the window.

They immediately went with a lawyer specializing in Cruise line lawsuits.
It looked like S.A. was finding his way through the bar area to me. I do remember Winkleman's first presser said - windows next to a play area-
I think all Wink is down to now is - there should of been a sign-
The SA team worked backwards from the moment she fell to see what innocent scenarios could fit S.A. actions.
Cruise line & Puerto Rico should be angry and pull out all their guns IMO.

Is he smoking ??? He seems to touch his face with his right hand in the lead up to him leaning right out the first time while Chloe was still stood on the ground? ETA around the 9.28 mark onward

But was she allowed to bang on glass other than the one at the hockey rink? That is made of plexiglass and is extremely thick and strong, made to withstand flying puck and bodies slamming into it. A lot of fans bang on the glass, even though it's officially discouraged. The whole "she wanted to bang on the glass" story came from the family in their efforts to explain why SA lifted her up. At this point, I don't believe a word they say.

No one is really allowed to disagree with how horrible all of Chloe's family is in this thread. Or at least that's the clear vibe it gives off. Someone just told you they'd have to agree to disagree in response to a clear question to explain their point of view. I just watched the DM video too. I thought it was going to be clear as day from what everyone said and I believed them. Honestly the video is not as clear to me. I just can't see what everyone else can see from my angle. Now if the man DID actually deliberately dangle her out the window he's an absolute moron. But when I watched the video I was surprised at how long it took from between when he picked her up, and I agree seemed to place her awfully high up, and when he collapses. What was going on? I'd like to see the video from a better angle. But not really. I don't want to actually see Chloe fall. I lean toward grandpa being a complete idiot who should never have been allowed to babysit a child that age. But as I've said before in this discussion I do not get people's really heated anger towards them. Even if this family in their grief can't accept their own role in her death.

I feel about them about the same as I feel as the American woman complaining that no one told them how dangerous it was to tour that active volcano that erupted. No one really needs to be told don't stick a child in or out an open window any stories above the ground. And you can't predict with any real accuracy of when a volcano will erupt. You are taking a lot of risks walking on it. But I don't feel rage towards this moron like I do towards the people who have deliberately hurt children.
Some people do feel rage, and what SA did was so over the top dangerous some can’t help but wonder if anyone could possibly be that incredibly stupid, arrogant and unaware.

And who doesn’t want to feel bad for the parents? But they are making it extremely difficult. Between their lawyer’s lies, their aggressive accusations against RCCL, all while refusing to watch what actually occurred is, well, very unlikable.

Add to that their “unlimited damages” lawsuit because they just happened to still be in port and not at sea, and you have what some might consider a possible motive.

Then top it off with how they come off in their multiple press interviews? They just seem like awful people.

Kids don't know the difference between plexiglass and regular glass. Apparently Chloe's safety has never been a priority.

The host of La Comay is seriously bashing David Begnaud on their recent show... saying that David lied about and downplayed the contents of the video, assuming the public would never see it.

I agree that David’s description of the video contents was incredibly minimizing and skewed to garner sympathy for SA, which is probably why David was so defensive about his previous reporting in his twitter post yesterday. Now we, the public, can see for ourselves what it actually shows. MOO

Also the supposedly last picture of Chloe standing alone near the pool. How appropriate was that pic with no one around where now the video shows a crowd.
I am disgusted by the manipulative lies.
Yes, where the heck is everyone, really Odd. Is that really Chloe?

The video I saw wasn't clear but it seemed to me SA lifts her up far away from his body with both arms to the window, then he must have transferred her to his left arm (he admits holding her with one arm), because the video shows his right elbow resting on the railing or window frame. I wonder if he's right handed and his left arm is weaker from less use, so he dropped her? It doesn't look like he lost his balance like previous reports indicated.

It looks like SA is holding her with just his left hand at about 11:12ish in the La Comay video. You can practically see his entire right arm/hand. It does make me wonder if he was smoking? I agree with the poster above that noticed him put his right hand to his mouth a few seconds before.

BBM.

Exactly, just posted the same. Wondered if it was just me. Does he have a cig or a vape in his right hand?

I think he should suffer the same fate as other journalists who have been caught lying. CBS needs to take a look at his coverage IMO. I will have to check out his twitter because it was brutal last time I looked ...

@BetteDavisEyes :) SBM Oh, they've tried about everything, well, except the dog ate the homework.
Or the RCCL dog opened the window when G'pa was not looking.

Oh, Jeez! I've think I've got it :D Grandpa wanted Chloe to see the drug-sniffing dogs on the dock :p

The dog we need is McGruff the Crime Dog. Heads need to roll. The truth needs to come out. More charges need to be filed. IMHO

Given that the incident took place near a bar, I wonder if that is a designated smoking area? I've said previously that SA might have wanted to smoke, and that's why he offered to watch Chloe while the rest of the family (allegedly) went to the buffet. Smoking is not permitted in dining areas on all cruise ships.
