Imo no way is that the mom - we would have heard by now

That's probably one of the witnesses making a first statement.

RCL Boarding Procedures
RCL has an app I’m checking in tomorrow -(March cruise) checked in early Dec for the Christmas cruise - you just check boxes the whole way through and upload pic and passport info - the whole process constitutes acceptance of the cruise contract IMO
@oviedo TYVM. Seems very streamlined.
So for a group booking, does each member of party have to do this individually online, pre-cruise?
Or can one person do this for multiple members of party?

{{ETA: sorry, I think you answered below. I'm behind on reading.}}
Does pax do anything dock/boarding? Show passport? Or?
Or just RCL's facial recgtn?

Yeah, and I wouldn't be on TV so soon either. Or be so very concerned with $$$ right away..or...you get the idea. JMOO
For sure, No concerns about law suits or TV interviews. No thoughts at all. Nothing but the pain of unextinguished anguish, loss, and grief..... for a precious child forever lost to us.

Not purposely trying to be narrow minded... I just can’t understand anything other than that. It’s painful to even think about.
IOW, this Circus of theirs is a disgrace. IMO

This is from EL Vocero, PuertoRican newspaper, Jul 9, 2019:

Salvatore Anello - the maternal grandfather of the infanta Chloe Wiegand, who died Sunday after falling from the eleventh floor of the Freedom of the Seas cruise ship, docked at the Pan American Dock in Isla Grande - and six other relatives did not respond early to the summons to attend Yesterday morning at the Police Headquarters, where they would be interviewed for the death of the child less than a year and a half old.

If so, then seems like accept/cruise contract.

Thinking about it I believe that the person under whose name the booking is made can accept/acknowledge the cruise ticket contract for everyone in the party. We typically do the check-in online ahead of time to speed things up at embarkation. Accepting the cruise contract is definitely a specific step that needs to be done before your check in is complete. You can’t proceed in the process until you positively acknowledge accepting it. That being said I think I typically accept it for my kids and wife when doing the check in. It would be pretty ironic if KW or AW did the online contract acceptance for SA and he never read it or knew not to put things, or children, over the railings.

Honestly, anyone in LE will tell you to say or do as little as possible in such a circumstance. The more you say or do the more that can come back to bite you. Vagueness and inconsistency in statements or actions will, as we all know, be picked apart. It may sound cold but it’s good policy. And both KW and AW know this.

Possibly they were all answering questions until the questions became pointed and it understandable they might have been under suspicion so they clambed up and then MW was called.

It is by booking so in dec my phone app froze at check in but one of the people in my booking had the app too and all of us were able to check in - port canaveral uses facial recognition with passports so it was very quick this time but again one in my party didn’t have a passport so they had to go in a separate line

I know in the very early media reports they did not answer any questions IIRC and SA would not submit to a breathalyzer

Are you sure that’s mom? I thought they went to the medical part of the ship. And that lady doesn’t look like some one that just lost a child. I’d be on the floor in a ball

I was under the impression dad took photos

Hopefully so. Is anyone surprised that we haven’t heard anything from any of the passengers that may have seen the incident? I haven’t noticed any information from a witness yet. I’m kind of surprised; usually you hear a few things in events such as this. JMO
If they spoke to investigators, they were probably told to zip their lips, until the trial is over. JMO

@they'll get you Gotta think you are right, that AW probably took pix, both of ^.
Still wondering about whether woman in white, sitting on chair at table, is Mum/KSW or someone else.
4:00 pm ---- "Incident" per ship doctor's stmt.
_______? KSW was sedated, per ^.
_______? Sunset in PR, early July.
_______? Soooo, post sunset, did KSW & AW return to Deck 11, for above pix?????
_______ If AW took ^ pix, then he returned to Deck 11. Did she?
If, after being sedated in ship hosp /sick bay, KSW returned to Deck 11, then she could be the woman (in white, sitting in chair at table), ^ pix, taken post-sunset.

Personally, I think it’s mum with dad behind the camera and they gave them to Winkleman to supply, with his spiel, to MSM.

I found 4 of these photos but 2 are too big to load.

Photos supplied by Lawyer Michael Winkleman to Seniors news tugging at the heart strings.

Interesting.

@ 2:35 Winkleman says windows on cruise ships are not a problem ...... he the goes on the say they are only dangerous in a children’s play area.

As we know those windows weren’t in a children’s play area but next to an alcohol serving bar.

I thought they all got off the ship after she was dropped and the ship ended up leaving around 8pm or so? I’m sure it’s in the media thread IIRC

Also, as was discussed earlier in one of the threads, there is the possibly of psychological trauma such as PTSD for the witnesses. But agree they were strictly informed by PR LE to say nothing.
