Oh yeah yeah, i gotcha now. I completely forgot about the other two banks. You're not an idiot, honest mistake, i was just trying to figure out where you where and got confused.

I dont know about you but i will be glad when they figure something out. Weird chatting with another boonville person on here because we most likely know each other or at least know mutal people. I've been websleuth junky for a few years, never thought in a million years we would be discussing something local on here!

No kidding. I never would have thought we would have a case this close to home. Id glad to see other locals coming aboard. Sometimes you think you are the only one in your area on WS .

I thought the friend confirmed it by saying it wasn't a fight but a small dispute?

Sent from my iPhone

Yes the friend admitted it on fb early on.

Joey Jackson is covering Kelley's disappearance on HLN. Dad was on and said drones are being used. Mark Klass and Wendy Murphy are also on.

My thought, and maybe this has already been discussed, but could she have been abducted from the bathroom and that is why she left her phone. Someone could have been hiding in the bathroom. Are there any cameras by a back door and could she have been taken out a back door close to the bathroom. She had planned to wait for the bartender evidently and didn't return from the bathroom. I've come to the conclusion whatever happened, happened when she was in the bathroom.

Okay, please take this as the "comic relief" in which it is intended...but I must be either: 1) getting sillier by the minute or 2) more overtired than I realized (or both)...but for some reason, when I saw you write "but could she have been abducted...", my brain automatically filled that in with the words "by ALIENS." It's like that's what I thought I was about to read. That's on my end, not yours.

Yes, I think we can safely rule out aliens. Let's just go with my being overtired! LOL.

Now back to being serious, I have thought of the bathroom/cellphone scenario too...I figured that if it was something like that, it would be more along the lines of a crime of opportunity (no prior planning), and I was thinking that she would have screamed/yelled and probably been heard by her bartender friend/the manager, but that's not necessarily the case...and I have never really gotten a sense of how far away they (bartender/manager) were in whatever "back room"...or the spacing (in general) of the place.

Given the right set of facts -- and you laid out some possibilities -- I do think something happening near the bathroom is within the realm of possibility. Just too little info (for me anyway) to know how possible that is. But it's much more likely than the alien thing. LOL.

Any of you locals ever been inside the VFW and can give us a layout?

Also, is it customary for the female bartender to close up by her self? Could someone have been hiding, waiting for the bartender to be alone, and Kristy just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time?

I have read at least one link indicating she was closing up/training in the back with the manager.

I really doubt she was taken from bar/bathroom, then made to drive or get into her own car, drive toward her home, and presumably turn back in the other direction. To me, that makes no sense at all, but jmo.

So what is a scenario that "makes sense" to you? She is driving home and...??

Yeah, that was the other part where I kind of put aside the bathroom scenario...thanks for that reminder -- the CAR going back and forth. I could see her coming back to get her cellphone...and there is as far as I can go, in terms of coming up with what could have happened next.

Nothing really stands out as most likely in this case...as far as driving, I think she left alone and headed back after she realized she did not have her phone. After that, I just have no idea.

Agreed...put the car into the mix, and that one doesn't make sense. But I also don't think it makes sense she just left the bar without telling her friend...if that is true (that they had plans).

But if the car aspect is correct, then IF she was abducted, it would have to have happened AFTER the trip back,I would think. ?

BBM Exactly. If she was training and had plans to leave at the same time as the bartender, why didn't she drop back by and at least tell her goodbye.

As far as the car goes. The car went by. Who was driving?

I was thinking, the county jail is right behind vfw. Vfw has a shelter house behind it with picnic tables inside, it would be really dark back there at night . Ive seen homeless people sleep in places like this.

What if someone was released from jail earlier in the day, was from another town and couldnt get a ride to there hometown until the following morning and just crashed in the shelter house behind the vfw.

A few years back some guys broke out of the jail and stole a vehicle from the vfw.

I wonder if they have looked into who was released from jail that day and what their crimes where?

I am thinking that the fact she left her phone at the VFW is just a coincidence. I think she left the VFW and either went to the Southside, or home. Both are reasonable assumptions from a geographical standpoint, and either would fall in line with where she was picked up on camera. Two things stand out to me as to what happened afterwards. First, if it is her vehicle caught on camera behind the Tastee Freeze, she took a different route to get there, or she would have been caught on both cameras there the second time. Second, it is difficult to tell for sure, but if you compare the videos, the first one appears to be travelling at a normal rate of speed. The second video appears to be in slow motion for the Television broadcast, but the very first part of that video has not been altered. To me, it appears that the vehicle in the second video is travelling much faster.

My thoughts are that whatever happened to her happened either at the Southside, at her home, or in the area of the Southside or her home. Assume that she was abducted in one of these locations. The abductor would likely want to avoid travelling down the main street in town, which would be Locust street if indeed it is her vehicle behind the Tastee Freeze. Since She wasn't captured on video in front of the Tastee Freeze the second time around, I think a likely route would be along Walnut street, which runs parallel to Locust, intersects with Hwy 62, and crosses right next to Tastee Freeze. That is the only scenario that makes sense to me right now.

Has there been any searching of dating websites to see if there is a connection there possibly?

Both sets of restrooms are close to two different doors leading outside. I suppose if they were back by the kitchen with exhaust fans going from the grill, juke box (if they have one) still on, i think abducted from the restroom without screams being heard is a possibility. Although, that would be pretty guttsy on an abductors part. Unless they were mentally ill or something.

Its hard to picture but there are two tasty feezes (sort of) the original tasty freeze which i believe (i can check on this if you all want) has a camera looking SE to SW. TF2 which is actually not called tasty freeze, but is often inaccurately refered to as Tasty Freeze by locals, is right next door and most likely faces south west. The property that both restaurants sit on are angled kind of funky. The property kind of comes to a V so it's difficult to tell which road she is on in the second video.

I believe the first video is caught from TF2 and the second from tasty freeze. If someone can post both videos for me to look at i should be able to get a better idea which video was taken from which location and possibly which roads she was traveling.

Just didn't know if you all knew this.
