I am thinking that the fact she left her phone at the VFW is just a coincidence. I think she left the VFW and either went to the Southside, or home. Both are reasonable assumptions from a geographical standpoint, and either would fall in line with where she was picked up on camera. Two things stand out to me as to what happened afterwards. First, if it is her vehicle caught on camera behind the Tastee Freeze, she took a different route to get there, or she would have been caught on both cameras there the second time. Second, it is difficult to tell for sure, but if you compare the videos, the first one appears to be travelling at a normal rate of speed. The second video appears to be in slow motion for the Television broadcast, but the very first part of that video has not been altered. To me, it appears that the vehicle in the second video is travelling much faster.
My thoughts are that whatever happened to her happened either at the Southside, at her home, or in the area of the Southside or her home. Assume that she was abducted in one of these locations. The abductor would likely want to avoid travelling down the main street in town, which would be Locust street if indeed it is her vehicle behind the Tastee Freeze. Since She wasn't captured on video in front of the Tastee Freeze the second time around, I think a likely route would be along Walnut street, which runs parallel to Locust, intersects with Hwy 62, and crosses right next to Tastee Freeze. That is the only scenario that makes sense to me right now.
