Inconsistencies in DB's Story

I really thought she did a great job and will never understand why JT wanted her out. She gave a softer "face" to the search for Lisa. JT rubs me the wrong way.
IMO

I told Cyndy that I thought it was a bad choice. She's a Missourian like me. We arent' discriminatory against those New Yorkers, we just do things a bit different and less slick. :)

BBM: JMO but I think Deb being "drunk" is her "Defense Strategy" ... and that is WHY Deb being "drunk" was put out there ...

I remember in one of the interviews [sorry, I don't have link handy but I am sure it is in the Timeline that one of the members did here] Deb was actually kind of "giddy" about being drunk ...

MOO ...

I can tell you with near certainty that Bill Stanton was surprised that she admitted being drunk during those interviews. Keep in mind this is just before Joe Tacopina was hired.

My perception is that she offered the info because she thought LE was going to share it and was being proactive. DB is personable and I think even those who are close to her will say she doesn't always have a filter. :) I've been accused of the same, in fairness. :)

The brother story came from me. I was given that info from a "source close to LE". I can't verify it for accuracy if it did indeed occur.

IMO, there is more than one option of what happened that night or this case would be closer to being solved. I've said all along is that there are a lot of questionable characters in this case and some or many are liars. I'm not pointing at any one in particular, and certainly not all involved. We do know, from his criminal record however, that Jersey would be one to fit this.

I'm not convinced that Jersey is just an easy distraction, however, from what really happened. He may have zero to do with this case.

BBM, Can you expand upon that? What in Jersey's criminal record lends to him possibly being involved?

And that is why this family would be better off with a lead attny who is local in my opinion. And I don't care for JP either, and I have no idea if he is a NYer.
But your description of JT is apt.

I was implying that there were people in this story with questionable characters. I was using Jersey as an obvious example.
As for him being someone to be looked at as interesting, for some time his arson background has been of interest relating to the dumpster fire. However, I don't find him that interesting anymore.

I have told family members this: Joe Tacopina has a reputation of representing guilty people, IMO.

Really? I spill my coffee practically every day. I also manage to dump half of the grounds all over when I make my morning pot. :(

ETA: Well, I AM a couple decades older than her. Maybe that's it. ;)

I only know this because I have neurological conditions myself. When I first saw the neurologist and described how I kept dropping things or knocking them over, I thought it was just arthritis, natural aging. He told me that might be the case if I were in my 60s or older, but it wasn't normal for someone in their late 30s to have those things happen on a consistent, daily basis. He did a lot of testing and found the causes.

Neither here nor there to talk about myself - sorry - that's just how I came to understand it is not normal for someone even near 40 to have a consistent daily problem with spilling/dropping/knocking things over. If it's truly a daily occurrence for DB and she wasn't exaggerating just to say she's basically a klutz (I am that without the help of neurological problems ;)), I sincerely hope she does get it checked out.

I need to go to bed shortly. I didn't get home today until 8:30pm CT. A few more replies, then I'm off :)

My post was pointing out, in general, a series of posts discussing DB's "pattern" of behavior. I do not see a pattern of bad behavior, that is why I had mentioned earlier that we hadn't really heard anyone come out and tell all kinds of horrible stories about DB.

You indicated that her being drunk that night was all you needed to know. I am just trying to say that a one time instance of her drinking with the children there does not indicate any type of pattern, or that she behaves "badly" on a regular basis.

You said "how much more dirt do we need"? Well for me to say she was a bad person, or immoral, or capable of certain things, yes I would need more "dirt" to make that call.

i like you, mm. you're spunky and passionate!

but in all fairness, i never used the word "horrible", or "bad person", or "immoral"... i just referred to "bad behaviour" (not that that alone = killer or dumper etc) which was how it was worded in your original post that initiated this discussion :)

i think even the most moral, honourable, respectable and upstanding (even godly) person is capable of "bad behaviour" though given the right mix of circumstances ;)

If you've already been asked this, I apologize. It's been mentioned that it's floating about out there that Jersey may have a surveillance tape alibi. Have you heard this, and if so, how credible do you find it? Thanks.

I didn't say that. I said, "She's a Missourian like me." This means we are both Missourians. If I said, she's like me and she's a Missourian, your implication would stand. I studied broadcast journalism in college. I'm a bit of a wordsmith, or I'd like to think I am.

Ron, do you know if the male who spent some time outside with the women that night has any connections that might be of interest? Just yes or no, please. We aren't allowed to actually personally sleuth him. If the answer is yes, though, I do have a follow-up. :)

I've not heard it and I'd be surprised. I've spoken to a lot of local and network TV reporters on this thing and have never heard that. If we're talking about the BP surveillance video, most reporters and I agree that it's an irrelevant video.

I do not know. I have tried to talk to (I believe) his uncle on FB but I can't get a reply for my query to chat.
