Inconsistencies in DB's Story

Well, like I said before, if in your mind, person who gets drunk with children in their care=person who would dump a dead baby's body, that is your right. I also have the right to think a really bad decision on her part does NOT equal disposer of dead babies.

i never stated being "b-o drunk" = a body dumper ;)

About the box of wine...seriously does anyone think that they still have an empty box sitting in their refrigerator? Not trying to be snarky, but this just sounds funny to me.

I think I am going to need some wine to understand this one. The box would have had evidence on it. Wine would degrade and turn bad by now I would think. I don't buy it in large quantities. Not that there is anything wrong with that at all. Not being snarky. I just think it would be useless to keep.

Maybe it's in a sealed evidence bag?

eta: this is not meant to be funny, sarcastic or snarky, it's just the only logical thing my brain can come up with

Ummmm...if it's in a sealed evidence bag, it sure shouldn't be sitting in a refrigerator that is not part of the police department...:D

Folks, the wine is in a container. I don't know what kind. Last I known, it was sitting in DB's fridge. LE has measured it. I'm confident she was advised to keep it. Can we move on from this pretty please? :)

I agree. I think that we might be getting a bit off topic here. I know that I'm getting a bit silly with all of this wine conversation. *passing you a glass of boxed wine*.

I think I've heard it all now--they kept the wine-maybe they plan on drinking the rest when Lisa comes home!!

I think I'm going to call it quits on the wine saving for the night. I'm going to re-read this portion of the thread tomorrow and maybe I'll understand. I swear I'm not usually this dumb, but I'm just not understanding.

Sorry...I answered before you edited. I guess I was being sarcastic. Not trying to be mean at all...just this all strikes me as really off topic and a bit funny. Not meaning anything to anyone specifically. :)

I suppose if she spilled glasses of wine (or sloshed it out of the box) on the porch, her neighbor would've been able to confirm that with LE since she was apparently there the whole time (assuming DB told LE she'd spilled some of it, as she told Ron). I have to say, I have a family member who is an alcoholic, and the "I didn't drink ALL that, I spilled some" line is classic and something we've heard more times than I count.

I wonder if the various accounts she's given to Ron (and thank you again, Ron, for sharing) match accounts she gave to LE.

Which reminds me of something else I've wanted to ask. Ron, since you are not hired by any one party for this investigation, would it be against ethics to share with LE any info you uncovered that might further the investigation? Thanks.

When I have had anything of interest, I've contacted LE so I'm not hindering an investigation. Frankly, that involved things that DB and I did NOT talk about. It was from another direction.

You know, I never thought of this until now, but I knew someone once who was an alcoholic and also used this "spilling" statement a lot. I remember several of our friends would always know that this person was going to talk about how she "spilled" some of her alcohol. Interesting.

Do you have a working "whodunnit" theory? Since you are there and on the ground and have interviewed a vast majority of the players, can you provide some insight as to who you think is involved?

My post was pointing out, in general, a series of posts discussing DB's "pattern" of behavior. I do not see a pattern of bad behavior, that is why I had mentioned earlier that we hadn't really heard anyone come out and tell all kinds of horrible stories about DB.

You indicated that her being drunk that night was all you needed to know. I am just trying to say that a one time instance of her drinking with the children there does not indicate any type of pattern, or that she behaves "badly" on a regular basis.

You said "how much more dirt do we need"? Well for me to say she was a bad person, or immoral, or capable of certain things, yes I would need more "dirt" to make that call.

I am not understanding it either!

I have a couple ideas, however, publicly I am going to maintain my objectivity. I don't feel comfortable sharing theories while I'm still looking for answers.

It does sound strongly though that you believe that DB didn't have a part in it. That's just my assessment. Not saying anything about whether that's right or wrong, of course. It just seems to be the way you come across. I just hope that everyone in the neighborhood is safe from whoever did it, if that's the case. A person who would take a baby would literally do anything.
