Interview with Maya D at Lowell...

Except now, considering the written testimony we have seen and her interview with KB, she will have cornered herself. Which is it? Tranquillizers? Chloroform? Benedryl? Zanax?

Here's a thought I've had - totally random - what if CA and KC gave Caylee a dose of something without knowing the other had? I don't know how many times I have to check to be sure my husband hasn't fed the dog (because for some reason he'll decide to sometimes :waitasec:) to be sure we're not over feeding her. So, what if they overdosed Caylee by both doing the same thing? Afterall, CA had been with Caylee all day and if Caylee woke up when KC came home - ??????

It may have made Caylee sick, but I doubt if it would have killed her unless they were illegal drugs, like Zanax. I don't think even CA would have done that. Plus that would have surface a long time ago. jmo

I honestly could never see CA doing that.
Last thing we knew of CA with Caylee was swimming in their pool, isn't it? Caylee appeared to be in her normal state of health then.
AS far as we know she was not suffering any illness, nor on any Rx medications... KC would be the one, she was the only one who wanted to go out and stay out, without CA calling her home to attend to 'that child'

You know, just a general comment here. If Maya was going to have trouble being completely truthful based on her background - I think it would be with LE.

After years of distrust and being "on the other side", it must be difficult for her to relax and put her faith in them, no matter what she tells herself about change. If there is any knee-jerk reaction, I think it would be this one.

And trade it for a bigger reputation for being a snitch? I dunno :waitasec: Thirty years is a long time to hold that title.

Maybe Maya was hoping to go back into protective custody - one never knows.

Who knows maybe the man with the intitials DT, who was arrested along with Maya for carjacking, snitched first. Afterall, he only got 15 years with possible time off for good behavior. Maya could have been confronted with his story and told the whole story. The only reason we know about her now is because she has talked to LE about KC.

You butter the side of the bread you're on. Nobody said she was stupid.

Oh didn't we know about her when the letters first came out? Before we knew she talked to LE?

Wow that was interesting ..I feel like I'm not supposed to do this is there something I was supposed to leave out ..

Then someone made an anonymous phone call about a week ago to Crimeline.

The tipster said two people involved in the death had been picked up within weeks of the killing in connection with an armed carjacking near Chickasaw Trail. Those two, awaiting sentencing in jail, were Derkovic and Tolbert.

Yes, Nort, we did know that. They were waiting sentencing on the armed robbery. But LE had Maya's street name and her real name and had not yet put the two together before she contacted them, according to her.

I was responding to woe be gone as I was asked for the article..so apparently not everyone knew it..

Nort!! No, no - I was responding to the first line in your post. Whether or not this was supposed to be something you should post. And you are absolutely right - probably everyone does not know that.

Sorry if you thought I said something different. :blowkiss:

No I know I'm good just soooo frustrated trying to find it and post it.:banghead: Anyway I have read from woe be gone that Maya confessed 10/15 this call came in a week before the article according to the article and its dated 10/16 so by this time the police were already looking in her direction due to the carjacking tip. So her confession came a little too late for me to think it was out of the goodness of her heart and new found honesty. I commend her on her changes not bashing just sleuthing...

Would KB really release those interviews if she didn't have a story after the fiasco with River's sister?

Sure why not? Has KB taken a stance? All she did was conduct the interview unless I'm missing something. As a reporter she is supposed to gather information, not convict or excuse a person. I would hope her reporting is unbiased.

Oh didn't we know about her when the letters first came out? Before we knew she talked to LE?

Serious? My point is, the reason we are talking about Maya is because she is involved in Caylee's case.
I'm investigating her solely because of the claims she has made regarding her involvement with Casey - letters, talking to LE, whatever.

Not that Maya's case isn't interesting but she's filling threads due to the fact that she has inserted herself in Caylee's case.
I know this because I googled her name ~ just as she suggested to KB for people to do.

I don't believe this woman at all. Did you see how she stumbled on saying the word chloroform? Chloro... Chlora... Come on now it was so contrived.

Yes, I read that too. Now here's the thing - if Maya confessed on October 15, 2007, how do we know why she did? Tolbert was already in jail too and the other guy, who is serving a life sentence, was involved too. Who knows who made the call - why would an anonymous call precede Maya's confession? Unless they used that as a cover for her at the time. All that I know is that they do have her confession on tape. Did it come before or after someone else alerted the police? Did DT talk first? Did Maya's mom call? Another gang member? The police know though - they know if she came to them of her own free will (as she says she did). Plus she stated that whoever called only gave her gang name and that she stepped up to the plate and said 'that be me'. If true, is that really offering a confession out of your own heart? When you go on the inmate site, they list all known alias and other names known for the prisoner. I'm thinking LE knew her gang name prior to her telling them 'Oh, Luda?, that's me.' LE may have strongly suggested to her that they knew and now she's using what unfolded afterward to her advantage.

English is not her native language. She's from Bosnia. We once had a neighbor who had been here from Japan for over 30 years and still today can't pronounce R's. It's "Wamblin Wose". LOL Plus it's not a word you use every day, if ever. jmo

I can hear all our foreign posters here saying, "You think all English words are easy. Try some of ours".

I think she was already s snitch she testified against other gang members, her title was made long before this..IMO

Just maybe they want Casey to get hers and if they can get her convicted they can all have a meet n greet. From the sounds of it Casey prances around and laughs at other inmates comments. Maybe its a conspiracy...and the welcome wagon is waiting. Just kidding folks.

English is my 1st language, but I studied Linguistics in college and many languages, and yes native speakers do think in their native language, then translate to the other language.

This is interesting to me. My spouse and his brother are Colombian, from Medellin (have lived here for 10 years), we also have friends from Cali. I have actually asked them about this, numerous times (I am a little strange in my manner of thinking at times lol)

Anyway when I have asked whether they think/dream in spanish/english (after the looks of where the heck does your mind go and much thinking on their part) .... they tell me both!

Sorry for the offtopic continuation, but that really grabbed at me, as it has been the subject of many laughs (at my expense for some reason) in my house :D
