Imagine building a school next to a naval base, sick and evil people.
There are over 160 schools located on US military installations.
Just saying, that's not unusual.
IMO.

That seems extremely optimistic to me that the United States can continue this "operation" without further involvement of US troops.

We have said no troops on the ground, soooooooo many times.
I just cannot believe it.
Can you imagine living through another Vietnam, or Afghanistan???? omg.

But here we are wondering.
with our own humble questions and opinions.

I went to US Department of Defense schools that were ON military bases. My junior high was NEXT to a military base, because the DOD school did not have a junior high school. I went to these schools in Japan, New Jersey and Vandenberg AFB. Vandenberg was the Soviets wet dream bombing target. It was where all the missiles were. I wouldn't consider our military sick and evil.
Exactly and hello fellow military brat :)
IMO.

Trump appears to link Iran attack to his 2020 election loss

Donald Trump on Saturday appeared to link the massive attack he ordered against Iran to his persistent claims about his 2020 election loss to former president Joe Biden, in a social media post about allegations that Tehran’s government interfered in the US president elections.

“Iran tried to interfere in 2020, 2024 elections to stop Trump,” his Truth Social post said, “and now faces renewed war with United States”.

Those words, written in the first hours of the bombardment of Iran, repeated the headline of an article to which he linked from Just the News, a Trump-friendly news site. “Iranian intelligence sought to undermine Trump’s re-election bid in 2020 through a variety of election influence efforts,” the article said. It also said Iran worked against him in 2024, when he beat Kamala Harris at the polls.

This is the second military operation of the Trump administration where he alluded to allegations concerning the 2020 election. He made similar comments on social media in January, days after Trump ordered the Delta Force “rendition” of Venezuela’s president Nicolás Maduro. Trump reposted links that repeated discredited conspiracy allegations that Venezuela interfered in the 2020 election by controlling voting machines.

Previously, he had hinted at support for those theories in a post, linking to a podcast about the Venezuela theory and writing: “We must focus all of our energy and might on ELECTION FRAUD!!” As the Guardian reported in November the Trump justice department began investigating the long discredited Venezuela theory last year.

The White House did not respond to requests for comment for this story.

"As US and Israeli bombs fell on Iran this weekend, bettors on Polymarket — where $529 million was traded on contracts tied to the timing of the strikes — were cashing in. Almost immediately, blockchain sleuths began hunting for unusual patterns in recent bets."

Why are people even betting on strikes and the taking of life?! This is abhorrent to me.

Love the top part.

NEW: The US-Israeli combined force appears to be increasingly targeting the Iranian internal security apparatus, which is consistent with the US-Israeli stated objective of toppling the Iranian regime.

Other Key Takeaways:
The regime has formed a leadership council to temporarily assume the responsibilities of the supreme leader. The council includes the president, the judiciary chief, and a senior hardline cleric.

The IDF outlined a three-phase plan to achieve air superiority over western and central Iran, which will enable the combined force to achieve its objectives. This approach mirrors what Israel did in June 2025.

Iran may have started attacking maritime traffic around the Strait of Hormuz. Iran seeks to impose a cost on the United States and its partners and compel them to pursue a ceasefire before toppling the regime.

Iran has sustained its missile and drone strikes across the region, some of which have impacted civilian locations around the Gulf and Israel.

Thanks for posting the Institute...
They always do provide great maps and visuals to assist in understanding....

Doesn't this result depend on who took part in the survey? People frequently manipulate statistics to try and back up a certain opinion.
Reuters is reporting 1 in 4 polling against

Not that there is anything wrong with those beliefs!
Millions agree
I believe there can be a difference in the way you feel between Isreal and it's leader. The same way there can be a difference in the way you feel about the US and it's leaders. IMO

Who were Reuters polling ? Their juniors in the backroom or a complete cross section of society from a variety of regions ?

The Iraq war was a disaster; so was the Afghanistan war. In the Iraq war 4,500 Americans were killed and 32,000 wounded. In Afghanistan, 2,461 Americans were killed and 20,000 wounded. How many will we lose in Iran?
A tiny fraction, even in the worst case scenario. Those were ground wars.

Article contains names of successors. Kinda TLDR, but it's a list

Discussses the three-member council which will govern until they can find replacements. (Estimates it will take a few days)
Iranian president, Pezeshkian calls on pro-establishment supporters to congregate at mosques and major city streets despite the war.

Seriously? Then how do you justify the unrelenting violence against Palestinian children and adults? The fact that the average age of Palestinians is 19 years old, meaning the population is overwhelming composed of children? It’s okay if they die in the name of expanding US colonialism abroad and “protecting” Israel?

Israelis are living in their indigenous homeland, and just trying to live normal lives. It is their enemies who are constantly in attack mode against them, with October 7th being just one example.

Israel is in perpetual self-defense mode, out of necessity. As you know, if Israel plans an attack, they first drop leaflets to warn civilians to vacate. And they don’t try to tell other religions how to believe or else they’ll be killed.

You’re not going to see Israelis bomb random gatherings, or run over people with vehicles, or attack the U.S. or Europe as you see from Islamist extremists.

And a million other examples.

And I do in fact have Muslim friends and a Muslim cousin-in-law. The moderate Muslims I know despise the hard-liners.

My opinion but based on fact.

Did You ever serve in the military? If one of those killed were your brother, wife, sister, child, I doubt you'd be so supportive of any war that kills so many, including children.

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again: I just don’t want any more loss of life on any side. I send my prayers to everyone involved in this. MOO
