I'm super comfortable with judging a fanatical religious regime that rapes, maims, commits infanticide, tortures, beheads, and calls for the complete destruction of anyone who refuses to take the knee to their crummy god.

It's called discernment and good judgment. So, yes, I'm going to judge.

But that's just me.
The Iranian regime is not representative of the Muslim community as a whole just like Christian nationalists don't represent Christianity.

I wonder what the deal that Kushner and Witkoff were offering was. Will we ever know the truth of exactly what was on the table.

imo
In the Fox News interview, Witkoff said the Iranian negotiators told him and Kushner that Iran had the "inalienable right to enrich all their nuclear fuel."

"That's how they opened up," Witkoff said. "We, of course, responded that the president feels we have the inalienable right to stop you, dead in your tracks."

Witkoff said one of the proposals discussed at the negotiations included Iran not enriching any uranium for a decade in exchange for the U.S. paying for its nuclear fuel.

"They rejected that, which told us at that very moment that they had no notion of doing anything other than retaining enrichment for the purpose of weaponizing," Witkoff said.

Literally no one is claiming otherwise.

Anna Kelly, a White House spokesperson, dismissed the claims.

“Only MSDNC would allow themselves to be used and abused by the evil Iranian regime to push false, anti-American propaganda in order to attack President Trump,” Kelly said. “The President and special envoy Witkoff have always worked in good faith in order to eliminate threats posed to our homeland.

“Unfortunately, Iran refused to participate in serious negotiations with the United States,” Kelly added, “so the President took courageous action to destroy their ability to have a nuclear weapon, launch or produce ballistic missiles, or arm terrorist proxies.”

The starkly different accounts of how the negotiations unfolded appear to reflect long-running tensions and mistrust between Witkoff and Iranian officials. The public airing of the dispute could also complicate efforts to negotiate a ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran in a conflict that has now spread to a dozen countriesin the Middle East.

In a call with reporters Tuesday, senior Trump administration officials speaking on condition of anonymity said the Iranians never offered to significantly compromise. Their proposals would have allowed Iran to continue to pursue a nuclear bomb, the U.S. officials said, and Iranian negotiators refused to discuss their country’s ballistic missiles and its funding of proxy groups, two vital issues for the Trump administration.

Images show funerals for victims of girls' school airstrike

Images have emerged showing the funerals for some of the victims of an airstrike that hit a girl's school in the Iranian city of Minab.

Iranian officials said more than 160 people were killed when the school, which was near an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps base, was hit by an airstrike on Saturday.

BBC News has not been able to independently verify the Iranian authorities' death toll.

The US military said it was looking into reports of the incident, while Israel's military said it was "not aware" of any operations in the area.

Three yellow construction vehicles are seen digging rectangular grave sites, which have been marked out by white chalk.

Seriously???? A responder to this post is excited that there will be more weapons?
What happened to humanity?
I could only love it, but I would have "super duper" loved it if I could.

The last thing you want is the inability to protect yourself, especially when it comes to missile defense. Those systems have saved thousands and thousands of lives, from Ukraine to the Middle East.

More than 1,000 civilians killed in Iran, rights group says

The US-based Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) says 1,097 civilians have been reported killed in Iran since 28 February.

Of those, 181 were children under the age of 10 years old, the agency says. The number of civilian injuries has reached 5,402, including 100 children, HRANA adds.

It says there has been at least 104 attacks in the past 24 hours alone. They have hit military bases, medical centres and residential areas, HRANA says.

Hundreds more reported deaths are being reviewed.

I suppose you're talking about Iran and not, like Mike Huckabee, Israel's biblical right to Mideast lands because long ago the Israelites were ordered to genocide the Canaanites when they would not take a knee to the Israelite's god?
