"Russian invasion and the war with Hamas.
Ukraine and Israel are competing for deadly American drones.
Two armed conflicts in which the United States plays an arms supplier role have disrupted support shipments.
While Israel and Ukraine's overall munitions needs differ, both countries needed American assistance.
And today, both Israelis and Ukrainians are trying to get the same drones.
Storing American weapons in Israeli warehouses allowed the US to ensure an uninterrupted supply of 155 mm missiles, which Western countries gave to Kiev's forces to fight Russian aggression.
Some of the missiles sent to Ukraine from American bases in Europe were replaced with ammunition from stockpiles in Israel.
This was possible thanks to agreements between Washington and the Israeli authorities: the US is placing weapons in this country
so that the Israelis are ready to repel possible attacks.
In total, the Americans provided Ukraine with about 2 million 155 mm shells.
Late last year, when Western producers were still unable to significantly increase production, Washington turned to South Korea and Israel for help.
The latter sent 57,000 missiles to American bases in Europe.
Today they are being transported back to Israel, which is conducting operations against Hamas,
a congressional aide and several U.S. officials told Bloomberg.
One drone, two wars
Moreover, as reported by the American website DefenseScoop,
the Israelis asked the US authorities for 200
Switchblade 600 drones capable of piercing vehicle armor.
It is unclear how long the United States will consider the application and when possible deliveries could begin, DefenseScoop experts note.
The problem may be that
the same drones were also purchased directly from the manufacturer AeroVironment by Ukraine, Bloomberg adds.
The American army does not have a stockpile of unmanned aerial vehicles in its warehouse, which are used to attack armored vehicles and other well-fortified targets.
It is also not known whether AeroVironment has a sufficient number of ready-made Switchblade 600 drones or whether they will have to be produced."
