She did the same thing that neutral politicians are saying ... they say that Hamas as wrong and in the same breath warn everyone about not misbehaving against Hamas. She said the same thing.

Wow, if this was mentioned before, I missed it. Look at the number of hospitals (red) the Hamas terrorists had to pass with those hostages in order to get to Shifa (black). Medical treatment, my patootie. MOO

Bringing forward for reference:

Nov 19, 2023

“The Houthis, an ally of Tehran, have been launching long-range missile and drone salvoes at Israel in solidarity with the Palestinian Hamas militants fighting in the Gaza Strip.

Japan's top government spokesperson on Monday confirmed the capture of the Nippon Yusen-operated ship, Galaxy Leader, adding that Japan was appealing to the Houthis while seeking the help of Saudi, Omani and Iranian authorities to work toward the swift release of the vessel and its crew.

"We strongly condemn such acts," Chief Cabinet Secretary Hirokazu Matsuno told a news conference. No Japanese nationals are among the crew, he said.

Galaxy Leader is owned by a company registered under Isle of Man-headquartered Ray Car Carriers, which is a unit of Tel Aviv-incorporated Ray Shipping, according to LSEG data.”

[…]

“Japan's Nippon Yusen (9101.T), also known as NYK, said the company had set up a task force to gather more information, including on the safety of the 25 crew, who are from the Philippines, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Romania and Mexico. The vessel, a car carrier, had been heading toward India from Europe with no cargo, a spokesperson said.”

OMg, so nervous.

Cross your fingers.

Been cynical with things not coming to fruition, Hoping this one’s a winner and we’ll see some more hostages released.

I know. I haven't seen it reported anywhere else yet. But, NBC and CNN have both reported in the past hour that they were getting close. MOO

Yes, I’ve seen a lot today (and yesterday) they were getting close, but we’ve heard a lot over and over, numbers changing, this and that changing, not coming to fruition, like a rollercoaster, but this sounds like possible actual confirmation, “has been agreed.”

What time?! I want to be awake when it’s announced! If it goes through, how long after the announcement will it actually happen?

Or maybe they’ll just do it without an announcement. Idk, this sounds promising, we need more sourcing.

Bbm.
Yes, it appears Hams has other plans for these Israelis.
Amazing and not in a good way.
Possibly the other hospitals they passed (I counted 13 hospitals that they could've stopped at for those injured Israelis !) did not have doctors Hamas fully trusted to carry out harmful acts ?
Sounds like they have plans to do further harm.
Maybe with the assistance of medical staff ?
The same staff who remained silent about Hamas building tunnels and using the hospital as their base ?
Think about it ... or not... a physicians' assistant or a doctor would know how to administer an IV drip to keep a hostage alive under questioning without them dying from pain or shock.
Hamas operates like a gang or a cartel, and are entirely without humanity.

I think after the IDF are able to hopefully eradicate and snuff more murderous Hamas' lives out, thus slowing down, if not halting the genocide of Israelis -- there will be more evidence uncovered of their persecution of innocent people.
Despicable treatment of Israelis who were not harming the Palestinians, and were just living their lives.
This needs to be brought to a finish and Israel needs to push forward.
Hoping if there's a ceasefire it won't damage the IDF's cause for preventing another Oct. 7th attack.
Hamas will not stop trying to repeat that day unless they are eliminated .
Omo.

Haniyeh claims Hamas close to reaching ‘truce’ deal with Israel

So bringing forward most recent details as to what we can possibly expect, as we wait - CBS report from a few hours ago and other sources said it could be 50 civilians. Again, I saw that video of the Hamas leader talking (reposted below) and I was like, ok I will believe it when I see it, but since the above source says “which has been Agreed upon by Hamas and Israel”:

CBS ref from 5 hours ago:
Negotiators near deal with Hamas to release hostages
“Negotiators are getting closer to an agreement with Hamas to release an initial 50 civilians in exchange for Israel allowing in more aid including fuel, coinciding with a limited pause in fighting, multiple sources told CBS News. More civilian hostage releases could potentially follow.

At this stage, there is no firm deal in hand but rather a written draft agreement that is being passed between parties who remain locked in what were described to CBS News as very difficult talks brokered with the help of the U.S. and Qatar, according to two sources familiar.”

Omg if 50 are actually released…

Please God.

Negotiators near deal with Hamas to release hostages

Moussa Abu Marzouk, a founding member of Hamas and a senior figure in its political wing, told CBS News senior foreign correspondent Holly Williams on Monday in Doha, Qatar, that the two sides were "close" to reaching an agreement that would see his group release 50 hostages in exchange for a five-day cease-fire — and the release of 100 Palestinians from Israeli prisons.

He said Israel would also cease all flight operations over the southern portion of Gaza during the temporary cease-fire, and for six hours daily in the northern part of the enclave to enable the transfer of hostages and the provision of humanitarian aid supplies.

Marzouk's description of the prospective agreement differed notably from what other officials involved in the talks have spoken of, primarily for its inclusion of the release of Palestinian prisoners by Israel. He said all 100 of the Palestinians in question were women, children and the elderly currently in Israeli prisons.

Marzouk acknowledged that Hamas could not account for the location or condition of all of the Israeli hostages in Gaza, and he reiterated the group's claim that some — "maybe around 60" — had been killed by Israel's ongoing bombardment of the densely-populated enclave.

Others, he said, could be captives of other Palestinian militant groups or even be in the homes of Palestinian families.

"Nobody can search about this," the Hamas official told CBS News. "It's a war."

Heavy Fighting and Intense Airstrikes are reported to be ongoing across Northern Gaza right now as both Hamas and the IDF are likely trying to get their last few “Kicks” in before the Truce/Ceasefire begins in what is now believed to be sometime in the coming hours.

" 'Too many civilians are dying'.

Macron talked to Netanyahu.

Emmanuel Macron assessed on Sunday in a conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that there were

'too many civilian victims'

in the Gaza Strip.

He stressed
'the absolute necessity of distinguishing terrorists from the population',
the Elysee
Palace informed.

The French President also noted
'the importance of achieving an immediate humanitarian truce leading to a ceasefire'.

He also spoke with the president of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas and condemned violence against Palestinian civilians in the West Bank.

Meanwhile,
French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu announced that a helicopter had sailed from his country to Egypt,
which will serve as a 'floating hospital' for injured Palestinian civilians from the Gaza Strip,
the Times of Israel reported.

Medical workers will be able to evacuate the injured, mostly children, from the Gaza border and then transfer them to a ship to help them.

The ship has two operating rooms, 40 beds for patients, an X-ray machine and a laboratory."

Reuters is reporting this about the Truce Agreement

  • Hostages to be swapped for Palestinian prisoners: Hamas official
  • Both sides to free women, children: Hamas official
  • Talks centred on truce, aid arrangements: Hamas official

The statement gave no more details, but a Hamas official told Al Jazeera TV that negotiations were centred on how long the truce would last, arrangements for delivery of aid into Gaza and the exchange of Israeli hostages held by Hamas for Palestinian prisoners in Israel.

Both sides would free women and children and details will be announced by Qatar, which is mediating in the negotiations, said the official, Issat el Reshiq.

Asked today whether a deal was near to secure the release of hostages, President Joe Biden replied, “I believe so.”
