Really, never heard that, thanks, one of my fav artists before hearing this, pros and cons of hitchhiking my fav album, saw Pink Floyd, and also saw him in concert for radio k.a.o.s. so very disappointing. Sickening.

Isn’t it?! I didn’t know either.

I’m glad such things are being brought to light.

I don’t see subtitles. But most of these hostages being released…almost every name read has, either had their parents murdered or their parent will remain behind as a hostage. That is why the anchor is somber. Bitter sweet.

I saw the first few seconds with children and couldn’t get through it, tears.

Going to try again now. I was thinking about writing out a list of the names based on the hostages shown in the video, as we know many of them by now, but I figure the press, official government release etc. should provide this soon (assuming not already posted, still catching up).

The Israel Defense Forces says a fighter jet successfully shot down a cruise missile over the Red Sea, close to the southernmost city of Eilat.

The missile is believed to have been fired by the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen.

The IDF says the missile did not enter Israeli airspace.

Palestinian terrorist expected to be swapped for hostages demanded Israel pay for her plastic surgery after explosive she detonated left her with serious burns.

News reports from 2015 revealed how Jabas detonated a device close to a checkpoint after the 45-year-old policeman who was injured Moshe Chan, stopped her for acting suspiciously.

As she pulled to a halt she jumped out and shouted 'Allah Akbar' before detonating a gas cylinder hidden in her bag.

Red bolding mine.

I feel badly for the Israeli policeman, Moshe Chan.
Hoping the petition is successful to keep her behind bars, if she's released it's a possibility she will plan another attack.
Omo.
Geez..

Hey I know I blew my own face up, but I want you to fix it. I know I was trying to blow YOU up, but I still want you to fix it. The nerve..

IDF troops capture headquarters of Hamas’s northern Gaza brigade

[...]

According to the IDF, several senior Hamas officials live in Sheikh Za’id, and the neighborhood also has a number of compounds belonging to the terror group, including its elite Nukhba forces.

The IDF says the Givati troops raided the compound, finding a number of tunnel shafts, including a “strategic” entrance that was some 50 meters deep and seven meters wide.

Also in the compound, the troops found a miniature IDF armored personnel carrier and a mockup of Israel’s Gaza border barrier, the military says. Nearby, troops also found a rocket production and launch site.

The IDF says troops killed several Hamas operatives as they captured the area. The compound was later destroyed.

In a separate raid in the same area, Givati forces found several weapons on a pickup truck that was likely used by Hamas in the October 7 attacks.

An Israeli official has confirmed tomorrow’s 10 a.m. ceasefire commencement to CNN.

Until now, only Hamas had confirmed the start time.

Israel has yet to make an official declaration.

Israeli news anchor reads the names of Israelis on a list of 50 hostages set to be released during a 4 day truce, beginning tomorrow.

I didn’t hear Mia Schem. Maybe I misheard the pronunciation of her name? Or can someone confirm that she really was not included in the list?
With her wound I would have thought she’d be one of the women and children released.. ;-;

There is a long article here by The Guardian about the children who are arrested, and photos of the children throwing stones at Israeli tanks and being arrested.

There are some pretty horrible details about what can happen to some of them after that.

‘A hidden universe of suffering’: the Palestinian children sent to jail

I usually like to look at multiple sources, because the truth usually lays somewhere in the middle. imo
If you google "palestinian children jailed for throwing stones" a whole lot of articles come up from a wide range of publications.
.
If you have seen the release list. Most are 18. Most have fairly serious charges. (They aren't stealing cars) Some of the charges are bomb making, terrorism etc. Some are members of Hamas.

Very few are charged with just throwing stones. I wish they were.

List is here: https://www.gov.il/he/Departments/DynamicCollectors/is-db?skip=0

It's in Hebrew. I'm on a desktop with Chrome and it auto-translates, don't know about phones or other browsers.

"Israel will receive first freed Gaza hostages tomorrow as part of

four-day truce -

but its own politicians warn deal is

'a dangerous precedent' that plays into Hamas's hands."

View attachment 462965

“The process of recovering the first group of hostages is expected to start tomorrow at 10am (8am GMT), according to Egyptian media reports. Some have suggested it could happen even earlier at 7am local time. Israel is yet to confirm the time.

Hamas terrorists are set to provide Israel with a list on Wednesday night of ten hostages set to be released tomorrow via the Red Cross, reports Israel National News. On Friday and Saturday, ten hostages will be released each day, while a further 20 will be released on Sunday - the last day of the ceasefire, according to reports.”

[…]

“Israel's Ministry of Justice published a list of 300 Palestinians who will be released as part of the ceasefire deal with Hamas.

Among those released are operatives of Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Fatah and the Popular Front and some were tried in military courts and some in civilian courts.”

Lots of other information/content at this article.

Hezbollah said planning to participate in ceasefire even though it wasn’t part of deal

AL Jazeera cites a source in Hezbollah who says that the Lebanese terror group will participate in the four-day ceasefire slated to begin tomorrow even though it was not part of the negotiations between Israel and Hamas.

The source states that Hezbollah will stop firing at Israel from southern Lebanon if Israel adheres to the ceasefire.

However, any violation of the ceasefire will be met with a fierce response, the source adds.

Hezbollah separately confirms the death of its 79th fighter killed since the war’s outbreak.

Marking for reference, this updated article from earlier today that has a list of the children and their specific details:

The children and babies kidnapped on October 7 and held hostage by terrorists in the Gaza Strip. (Israel's official Twitter account)

Eta, this is the second time I’m seeing this, “Not all of the Israeli children in Gaza are being held by Hamas, the main Gazan party to the deal, and not all of their whereabouts are known.”

* I saw something else that said something like that, not all being held by Hamas…who else would they held by? I know it said some hostages may be with Palestinian crime families, etc., but it almost possibly sounds like there’s another affiliated group, “the main Gazan party to the deal.” Idk. Maybe I’m just reading it weird.

BBM. 20 years in prison for kids throwing rocks? smh.

JMO
Throwing rocks is an "art" over there. They don't have firearms, but they have these huge slingshots. They're weapons. Also, I wish throwing rocks was the only crime of those being released. Many have other charges, such as bomb making and terrorism....

I think some of them are held by Palestinian Islamic Jihad. I did see somewhere that there were some crime families that were holding some. This interview was posted in the threads a while back and described the groups holding them-

“Hamas only holds some 150 Israeli hostages and the Islamic Jihad around 30. The rest are held by Palestinians who had crossed the border on Oct 7 and returned home 'with a pet Israeli' in tow“ Rami Igra, former Mossad chief of hostage rescue, tells @laura_i24

Emphasis mine.
That's sickening.

Hardly the "children" that Hamas is claiming, is it ?
Most likely they'll receive a hero's welcome from Hamas.
Released to continue their terrorist activities.
At the very least, maybe the IDF and/or Mossad can keep tabs on them ?
Hoping.
Omo.

The world is waiting for these hostages to come home (at least the ones not ripping up their flyers and supporting Hamas).
(Must see video linked above in case anyone missed it.)

This is such a critical moment in all of this. Tensions are high.

Tensions have always been high, and every moment since October 7 has been critical, but ykwim, now that a deal has been agreed to…the anticipation…the worry that something doesn’t go wrong, that it actually materializes…

So in Israel is someone considered innocent until proven guilty? Or are they being detained “just because”. That would put a whole different spin on the situation, IMO.

I’m thinking some were no brainers, like being caught with bombs in your bag and having burns all over you.

But of course open to studying whatever information is provided. I don’t think anyone wants a wrongfully accused person held in prison.

I’m thinking if Hamas wants these specific prisoners back, there’s a reason. They likely have terroristic ties, jmo. Since when do they care about their own citizens? And since when do they care about women, considering how many they RAPED.

@Friday Fan ; Thanks for the link and photo !
Holy cow.
Imagine being hit by a rock from that slingshot ?
A healthy man could die from that, much less a child or elderly person.
I think 20 years is appropriate.
At least they can't try to murder for twenty years.
Omo.

Bringing forward for reference, iirc this is the video where he says some hostages were killed in strikes, “maybe around 60,” and some other stuff.

Trying to get information consolidated and handy so when this goes down and names are released…

* Note to self, is this also the video where he says US is to blame, “Who Else?”
