IDF spokesperson in Arabic Avichay Adraee comments on Hezbollah’s major barrage of almost 50 rockets toward northern Israel earlier today, saying that according to the army’s operational systems, over 20 of the projectiles landed short in southern Lebanon.
“The attack caused economic damages in the villages of Rmeish, Ain Ebel and Yaroun,” Adraee says in a statement.
(OMG NO!)
After postponing the ceasefire in a day, Hamas now announces that 3-year-old Abigail won't be released tomorrow.Abigail was kidnapped to #Gaza alone, and still doesn't know that she's an orphan after Hamas murdered her parents on October 7.
(This is rich! Hamas talking about humanity and morals)
#Hamas condemned the reported arrest of the director of Shifa Hospital on Thursday, calling it "nothing less than despicable, lacking any sense of humanity and morals."
I was joking.
I figure they learn some English at school and very likely colleges in Gaza require some proficiency. (Not gonna go down the rabbit hole and research it) But I'm sure enough Hamas members speak enough English to get by.

The delay could be related to the hostages list Hamas provided to Israeli officials, according to WSJ
The long-awaited ceasefire is postponed by at least a day due to the "last-minute disagreements" between Israel and Hamas, stated senior Israeli diplomatic. The U.S. officials cited by the WSJ said that the delay concerns the list of hostages provided by Hamas that lacked information.
The White House official told WSJ that the parties, however, are finalizing the "logistical details.
IMO this 'want' by Hamas is so that they can remain undergrund undetected. Handing them over to the ICRC first as required by International Law would mean they'd have to emerge into the daylight in Gaza.
Allowing them to 'be given directly to Egypt' instead would allow Hamas to transport the hostages through their tunnel network directly into Egypt - all underground - and have them emerge in Egypt proper. Probably in a room of some Hamas supporter's home or business to suddenly 'walk free' in Egypt.
This is Hamas trying to cover and protect it's own butts at the expense of the hostages and accountability.
Found an article from 2021 regarding tunnels in Egpyt. It's paywalled. Egypt has a barrier and a one mile buffer zone, but new tunnels were constructed up to 2 miles within. So, despite aggressive action by Egypt to destroy tunnels, they were resumed.
Despite the largely successful security campaign launched by Egypt in February 2013 against the Palestinian border tunnels in Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, there are reportedly Palestinian attempts to bring back some of the destroyed tunnels to life.

Troops of the Nahal Brigade have uncovered a Hamas tunnel inside a mosque and rocket launchers adjacent to homes during its operations in northern Gaza’s Jabaliya, the military says.
In a statement, the Israel Defense Forces says Nahal troops have battled Hamas operatives on the outskirts of Jabaliya.
In the area, it says troops found six tunnel shafts, including one in a mosque. In an orchard next to the mosque and civilian sites, including homes, a number of rocket launchers and weapons were found, according to the IDF.
Since the brutal Hamas massacres of Israelis on October 7, the atrocities have been celebrated by at least 11 West Bank schools, including eight run by the Palestinian Authority, according to a watchdog’s new report.
The schools “are openly and publicly celebrating the horrors of the October 7 massacre,” says the Institute for Monitoring Peace and Cultural Tolerance in School Education (IMPACT-se), adding that “this follows years of hate-teaching in PA schools.”
“The international community heavily funds PA education sector civil servants responsible for curriculum development and the operation of schools,” it says.
In one example, the Ya’bad Secondary Boys School told parents it would be closed on October 18 “out of respect for the pure blood of our martyrs, and to denounce the massacres made by the cowardly Nazi Occupation.” The letter also said: “God punish the Jews and those who support them.”
I know they said some Palestinian “civilians” (cough) may have kidnapped some of the hostages for ransom, and yes it’s possible, we know civilians “took things,”, tvs, etc.
Do we have actual known PROOF of civilians taking any hostages? Anything from IDF or Israeli government saying this? I know crime families were mentioned by the HAMAS leader, Palestinian Jihad and “Palestinian Faction,” iirc.
I don’t know, if I were to guess, I’d say the “missing” hostages are missing at the hands of HAMAS, but again anything is possible and who knows.

MOO If they did, they likely handed them over to Hamas or that other group. MOO If a civilian did take a hostage and didn't hand it over, I personally feel the civilian wouldn't have the resources and the hostage wouldn't survive. MOO
