@PommyMommy for finding this. However it is Egypt's Foreign Minister who is stating this (that the border crossing is closed on the Gaza side due to inoperable roads because of Israeli bombing. That may be the case, but who knows.
Also, the earlier article states that Israel purposefully bombed Kafah in order to keep the border closed and stop humanitarian aid from getting in to Gaza in order to "squeeze" Hamas. I really doubt that Israel wanted to stop humanitarian aid from getting in for that reason. JMO.
