OMG, SINWAR was part of the Gilad Shalit trade???!!!!!!!!

“Sinwar was released in 2011, one of more than 1,000 Palestinian freed in exchange for one Israeli soldier, Gilad Shalit, who was taken hostage by Hamas and held for five years. At the time, emotions were mixed over the lopsided exchange, which allowed other violent prisoners to walk free.”

Holy cow.

They need to get “The Butcher.”

“In 2018, the Head of the Hamas terrorist organization, Yahya Sinwar, declared to the world: “We will take down the border [with Israel] and we will tear their hearts from their bodies."

Yahya Sinwar, Hamas’s Leader in Gaza, Is at the Top of Israel’s Target List

Considered a brutal enforcer within Hamas, he served time in Israeli prison before being released in a 2011 prisoner swap.

The Israeli military calls Yahya Sinwar, the hard-line leader of Hamas in Gaza, the “face of evil.” And senior officers say he is the top target for the tens of thousands of Israeli troops poised to invade the coastal enclave and destroy its leadership.

Long considered a brutal enforcer within Hamas and an implacable enemy of Israel, Mr. Sinwar served more than two decades in Israeli prisons before being released in a 2011 prisoner swap. He emerged as the militant group’s leader in Gaza — its top leadership resides abroad — in 2017.

“Yahya Sinwar is the face of evil,” Lt. Col. Richard Hecht, an Israeli military spokesman, said on Saturday after Hamas assailants killed more than 1,300 Israelis in a brutal incursion that began Oct. 7. “He is the mastermind behind this, like bin Laden was.”

(*That’s the first thing I said the other day, “So this is like a Bin Laden.”)

More from the above NYT article:

“Mr. Sinwar was released in 2011, the most senior of 1,100 Palestinian prisoners that Israel exchanged for one of its soldiers, Gilad Shalit, who had been captured by Hamas in a cross-border raid in 2006. At the time, Mr. Sinwar said he spent his time in prison studying the Israelis and, eventually, helping negotiate the prisoner swap.

“They wanted the prison to be a grave for us. A mill to grind our will, determination and bodies,” Mr. Sinwar said after his release. “But thank God, with our belief in our cause we turned the prison into sanctuaries of worship and academies for study.”

Six years later, he was chosen to lead Hamas in Gaza and set about consolidating his power. He is believed to have been behind the 2015 detention, torture and killing of a Hamas commander, Mahmoud Ishtiwi, who was accused of embezzlement and “moral crimes” — amid suspicions of gay sex — that Mr. Sinwar apparently feared could compromise the group.”

Israel's No.1 Hamas kill target is Yahya Sinwar, the 'Butcher from Khan Younis'

“As Gaza's de facto ruler, Sinwar is the highest-ranking Hamas official in Gaza. He is Hamas' most powerful leader after Haniyeh, who lives in exile in Qatar, The Telegraph reported.

Hamas certainly had the "capacity" to break into homes to torture and slaughter innocent families, children, elderly for many hours. Israel has plenty of proof they did just that and plenty of proof Hamas targeted the hospital in order to slaughter and torture more innocent people.

Hamas are equally as evil no doubt about it.

But one evil act does not give a free pass to go out and then massacre 1000’s of more innocent victims.

The people being killed for the most part are completely and utterly innocent of doing anything wrong and that’s never ok!!

There is absolutely no proof the Israeli government has massacred innocent victims. None that I can find.

I hope the US doesn't announce any conclusions on the hospital bombing until the rest of our allies are all in agreement. (UK, FR, CN, GR etc) Otherwise it's gonna be a s___storm.

Israeli bombs have killed more than 2,670 people, at least 724 of whom were children.

“A second military spokesman said that the army was particularly focused on killing Yahya Sinwar, the top Hamas official whose offices, like those of the Hamas government, are in Gaza City. Israel holds Mr. Sinwar responsible for the atrocities against Israelis last Saturday.”

it’s astounding how quickly this has escalated and a war seems to be looming. Israel are going to need a lot of proof to back up their claims as it simply doesn’t add up they are Not responsible for this Hospital Bombing.

Hamas clearly don’t have the capacity to do this or Israel would have been hit way harder if they had weapons that could cause such damage.

Moo
They've shown some of the proof, to include a video of a malfunctioning rocket just seconds before the hospital was hit, to the fact that there is no bomb crater. The fact that they have attributed this to Islamic Jihad and not Hamas, speaks to the intelligence they have gathered on this. They (Jihad) have rockets with warheads as heavy as 800 pounds. They wouldn't have needed anything nearly as large here however, as that rocket would have been loaded with fuel, which explains the massive fire that Israeli bombs do not immediately produce.

IDF spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari accuses Hamas of purposely misleading international media by claiming a failed rocket launched by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad was an Israeli airstrike in the Gaza Strip that killed hundreds.

Hagari, in a briefing to international media, reads out a transcript of an intercepted call between two Hamas officials, in which they talk about the failed Islamic Jihad rocket that hit the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital, following a barrage launched from a cemetery in Gaza.

"According to our intelligence, Hamas checked the reports, understood it was an Islamic jihad rocket that had misfired, and decided to launch a global media campaign, to hide what really happened," Hagari says. "They went as far as to inflate the number of casualties."

Hagari says Hamas "understood with absolute certainty that it was a rocket misfired by Islamic Jihad, that damaged the hospital."

And that link also says he's in Qatar - not in Gaza

Not sure how anybody will attack him in Qatar right now ( get permission to )

Isn't Qatar home to US's biggest military base in the Middle East?
