The best I could make out was that Hagerty wasn't revealing who shared the letter with him, but that the envelope was retained by the State as evidence.
.What the heck is a VAA outlet? It's in the first minute of the first clip, I wasn't going to watch but wanted to know what you were talking about LOL
Nice work😉http://www.recordadvocate.com/joseph-evans-speaks-out-about-steven-avery-confession-letter-14308/
Looks like we weren't wrong about the signatures.
JE said he has talked to LE and has not talked to Kratz or anyone else in the Netflix series. He said that what was in the letter is the truth..
He also says the death of his wife was an accident.

God only knows with this case..the lengths LE or anyone involved in prosecuting Avery don't really surprise me any more😉Can't help but think that this whole "letter" thing is a red herring somehow.
You & I both😀I'm laughing at the irony. ⬆️

Kind of like the pot calling the kettle black?

Makes me sickSeems like there's ceaselessly plenty to go around in this case.
Unfortunately, there's a man sitting in jail for the rest of his life while the people who have actually broken the law ("allegedly") are still walking around free to do as they please.

Just read the whole 9 pages. The cover page is hand written and is like a letter ("To Whom It May Concern").
There are things in there that sound like things Avery would say. And some details sound mixed up, particularly where they took the SUV with her body in it (Brendan had said the intent was to throw her in the nearby pond but Avery scrapped that idea and decided on the burn pit).
It wasn't 9 pages of crime detail, as a good 2 pages or more are this inmate talking about how they met, how he got moved to the same prison and when, his own crimes and case, just some background stuff about their friendship, along with when he and Avery would talk, where, why he thought they got along, things like that. The details of what he claims he was told are contained on the next few pages. He spent another page talking about how their conversations ended and why, which made sense (Netflix series being put together) and he talked a bit about why he decided to say something.
There is a ring of truth to it. There are some specific things that would be interesting to find out: was TH wearing 2 rings that day? Was she wearing a necklace? (Avery supposedly took those items and discarded them).
I don't think this letter is going to do anything for the state and unless Avery's case gets overturned and then he's tried again, I don't see how the state could possibly introduce this letter. As for Brendan, he has his best chance with no mention of any letter. IMO this letter won't ever come into BD's case.
Great post like always.
I agree the letter itself doesn't help Dassey. The letter itself is useless at the moment since SAs case hasn't been overturned. However, if it should be... then I dont think the letter will be introduced but do believe they will have this guy testify at the next trial if it should happen.
Countless murder cases have had jailhouse inmates testify against the defendant when the defendant ran their mouth about their crime to them. It will be up to the jury to weigh the credibility of the inmate who testifies that a confession was made to them. In the trials I have seen where they have testified I cant remember one case where the jailhouse inmate's testimony wasnt believed by the jury.
Even his ex believes it has a ring of truth in it.
Lynn Hartman and Avery had several hundred phone conversations and met face-to-face three times during their eight-month correspondence. They also exchanged more than 100 letters, some of which she says contained language eerily similar to Steven’s alleged jailhouse confession.
Hartman, 54, said she has no doubt Avery told convicted murderer Joseph Evans Jr.how he raped and killed Halbach.
“The language is right on,” Hartman said, referring to verbiage Evans attributes to Avery. “It’s how he talks. He has a very unique dialect.”
For example, Evans claims Avery shot Teresa Halbach in the va****, and joked that he did so to “make sure her p**** was dead.”
“Steven would refer to me as his ‘va*****,’ and his ‘p****,'” Hartman said. “I told him to stop, and that he could call me Lynn, his girlfriend–even his wife, but not his ‘va*****.'
She said instead of growing in love together, an explosive and threatening side of Steven Avery emerged. He went from a man with grand promises of a new life, to the cold-blooded killer Evans describes.
I wasnt aware of this part:
“He was writing two or three a day,” she said. “He was saying I had ‘no way out’ of the relationship, and that he would hurt me and my kids if I didn’t help him and do what he wanted me to do.”
Hartman then turned to the officials at Waupun Correctional Institution, who issued a no-contact order, barring Avery from any further interaction.
I bet she turned over all of the threatening letters he had sent her to the WCI.

Hartman is only coming out with this information now, lol? I thought the relationship was really way out there & ridiculous, but now i see why.

According to In Touch Weekly, Zellner sent a formal notice to the Las Vegas legal secretary telling her that her engagement to Avery had been “terminated” on Oct. 2. “As Mr. Avery expressed to you during your relationship with him, he deems his correspondence and communications with you to be confidential,” the letter read. “This constitutes an oral agreement with him.”
The note also prohibited Hartman from doing any interviews about the “Making A Murderer” star and their brief relationship. “Additionally, you should refrain from selling, distributing, or otherwise disseminate any photographs taken of you and Mr. Avery, and you should refrain from otherwise trying to profit from Mr. Avery’s likeness or your relationship with him,” it stated. “Finally, you should not offer any opinions regarding Mr. Avery’s case, or his guilt or innocence.”
