Yes, sounds rather cavalier but I doubt that she really meant that. Had she any inkling she would have battened down the hatches to protect her daughter, herself and her unborn baby don't you think? Come to think of it maybe she did and the intruder used his key.
I would never leave my purse on the floor, and not because it is or isn't expensive. I imagine Michelle had very nice things and I see this purse as either being old or an extra one she kept around......Michelle was described as being very organized with attention to detail.
Leaving her purse on the floor with a little one around wouldn't be something she would do, when she could have so easily put it on the kitchen counter out of CY's reach..IMO.
She had one little girl. They were probably always together. No reason to worry about such things.
Isn't a bike alot different than a $15,000 ring??

Did they have a rider on the ring?
See the thing is, I have 2 boys....all boy lol. They know they are not supposed to go in my purse. I always have gum in there and if they want some they simply ask me. So leaving my purse on the floor doesn't concern me. I have nothing dangerous in there. I doubt my 3 and 6 year old can use my credit card lol. Now I still have child locks on my cabinets and all dangerous materials (cleaning supplies) are locked up. Oh and all I have are Coach purses. I have several and anytime I change them out I still placed them in the same area. Regardless of how new they are. :twocents:
It is just another thing that shows she was not as anal as everyone says she was.
No idea?? But something that expensive should have been covered with insurance, imo.
Umm...that is considered acting hyper. If he was "normal" then those things you just listed wouldn't have occured. Shaking of the leg/trembling is a nervous habit. Haven't you ever had a habit like that, say if you're waiting for the doctor or nervous about something. It's just the same as biting your nails.
Now I will say that when I was pregnant with my 2nd son by the time I came home from work I was pooped. My normal routine (before pregnancy) was out the window. Maybe this wasn't something she normally did?
I seem to recall that the French doors were unlocked when police arrived. It's possible that Michelle was not in the habit of locking the door between the garage and the house because under normal circumstances the overhead door would secure that house. Given that the overhead door was broken, and open, it may have been an oversight that cost her her life. It would be helpful to know what the routine was at the end of the day for locking up the house. Was that something that Jason routinely did? Did Michelle assume that Jason locked the door between the stairwell and the garage when he left? Were the French doors normally locked? Did Jason leave the French doors unlocked when he was cleaning the yard that afternoon?
Those are questions that the prosecutor should have asked when she had the chance.

JusticeFever! You are a woman?!
I don't know why and no offense, I always got "male" vibe from your posts.
No reasoning behind it, so...sorry!
PS- Or it could be I am being sexist and you are a man with a purse :giggle:
Hmmm, so instead of going directly to the purse laying on the floor right by the entry door in plain view downstairs, the "burglar" decided to go upstairs to where the sleeping people were. Because running into people when you're burglarizing is the best strategy. Forget about the cash people usually keep in their wallet (in a purse on the floor right in plain view). Take 2 drawers of (crappy) jewelry instead. Because jewelry box drawers are so easy to shove in your little burglar pockets.
I don't call this crappy jewelry:
6) A white and yellow gold bracelet with alternating circles of the different colors of gold
8) A mans platinum wedding band
9) A womans platinum wedding band
10) A platinum solitaire 2-3 Ct. diamond ring
11) A pair of diamond ear rings
12) A pearl necklace
