The bloody footprints left in the hall bath make me believe that those footprints occured after the killer had left the house, not during the time when the killer was still there. I can't see a stranger (or even JY) letting a 2 year old child stay alive when that child could possibly ID them.

IF CY's pjs were changed, then that points to JY. I can't see a stranger bother to take the time to change her pjs after killing Michelle. It also would possibly leave DNA on the pjs (both dirty ones and clean ones) of the killer to ID that person. If a person, even JY, would take the time to change CY into another pair of pjs then why would they leave her free to roam the house and risk the chance of her getting bloody again?

No bloody footprints leaving the bathroom because the blood was either dry on CY's feet or no longer on her feet to leave the footprints.

What test was used to look for the presence of blood on the pjs? Wasn't it testified to in court that there were darker pink areas on the pjs? Were those areas where the blood was located?

I have some questions of my own.

How would a stranger know to go up those back stairs, next to the kitchen, to get to the master bedroom? In some homes the bonus room above the garage has only the one entrance/exit door that is not accessible to the rest of the upstairs house.

Why would a stranger go immediately up those back stairs instead of going into the rest of the house to take the items that would be easy to steal and sell?

Why would a stranger turn on the lights inside and outside of the house when commiting a burglary/murder?

MOO

Why would JY turn on all the lights in the middle of the morning?? That would draw attention to the home... He took the time to unplug the camera so he wasnt seen leaving etc, he had his murder bag with scotch tape and size 10 shoes but he turns all the lights on
in and around his house

No way they ever looked at anyone other than JY. The day after the murder, the sheriff said it was not random.

When you think about that, it is downright evil.

Downright evil? The downright evil existed in that bedroom, IMO. They witnessed it first hand. So horrible they had never seen the likes before. MOO.

I'm thinking she was probably on the treadmill when he came in the house, since it was on as was the tv and lots of lights.

Where is the evidence she was on the treadmill? No signs of a struggle. No blood. Would a 5 month pregnant woman get on the treadmill at 10:30 @ night? A work night? How do you then account for the work papers smeared with blood in her bedroom?

What they did to JY is evil.

And that evil person who bludgeoned MY is still running around RDU.

Lot of people do things that you don't do or you might think are strange.

Why would the tv and the treadmill be on if she wasn't using them? I can see forgetting about the TM, but not the TV

LOL, what was the scotch tape used for?

Does anyone know if LE looked in the bag of goodwill items that MF talked about to see if the HP shoes were in there?

Did they check for fingerprints on the trashbags?

Was she using the outdoor hose? That was running too.

Just listened to Josh Dalton. Too bad MY didn't marry someone like him. Life is strange. MOO.

So you think the murderer went for a run on the TM and watched a bit of tv after killing MY?

Doubt it.

Why not ... the murderer bathed the child and put her in clean pajamas, had a work out in front of the TV, watered the lawn, fled the area, and pawned the the jewelry.

Really? Is that an admission that you believe the killer used the outside hose?

I don't have strong feelings about it one way or another.

LOL, what was the scotch tape used for?

It was said on here that JY probably used tape on the hotel door to keep it from shutting... The person said they did an experiment at work with scotch tape & the door did not close..
JY is a regular ole MacGyver.. Scotch tape, extra shoes when it was to be a strangulation ... Guess he forgot to read the section on not turning the lights on in your house when murdering your wife when he read the How to Murder Your Wife book.....

Seriously though why would he turn the lights on in his own home.. He should know his way around in the dark..... Heck I never turn any lights on when I get up at 3:30 in the morning.....

Watching LE testify in the first trial right now and I see that the jurors were asking questions. I don't remember any asking questions in the second trial. Does anyone else?

I am unsure of what you mean by jurors asking questions in the first trial. Here in NC jurors do not get to ask questions of witnesses.

Actually I think they can... I'm on my phone or I'd post the link..

In all of this, the prosecutors need to produce some evidence that Jason Young was there that night. A camera recording him buying gasoline between Hillsville and Raleigh. Any of the clothes he was seen wearing that night with blood on them. The Hushpuppies and/or Franklins with blood on them. Something that would rise beyond the level of conjecture or suspicion.

I do not know whether Jason is guilty or not. I was not there to witness that crime. I will not flat out say that he is innocent. But at this point, there is no direct or even indirect evidence that will put Jason in that house that night or anywhere near Raleigh.

That is my stumbling block right now.

Well, they must have made that rule after the first trial because I watched them ask detectives/witness a bunch of questions yesterday. Let me see if I can find the link. One I remember was something about showing them a piece of evidence.
