Jayden Spicer, 10, August 6, 2025 *mother arrested*

Bbm.
Agreed 100 %.
Apparently Jayden didn't have a chance, after his great grandma passed-- or we wouldn't be here.
He'd been thriving with her from all accounts.
Shortly after being placed with mom and boyfriend he was dead.

From the pics he was full of bounce and energy and had a bright smile !
If he was overly hyperactive, which is not 'being naughty' or 'misbehaving', what was done to him to cause his death ?
Because it appears he never wandered off.
Someone took his poor little body and threw dirt on it ... assuming he was found buried on dry land, and not in a pond or water.
Omo.
I’m sure I’m not alone in thinking that I just don’t think that I can hear details this time.

So, someone(s) knew where he was this entire time ?
 🤬

He should never have been placed with the bio mom and boyfriend, imo.
Obviously he didn't conceal/bury himself.
So the 'mom' lied when she went to a neighbor to use the phone to report him missing ?
For how long exactly was Jayden not seen by anyone outside of family.
There are siblings, and I'd imagine LE want to talk to them ?

If he died from an accident, why hide him , as LE and others searched thoroughly within where he may have walked and found nothing.

Hoping there is enough evidence to show what his final days and hours were like.
Might not even want to know.
Omo.
Did she do it or is she covering up for the person who really did it?

Why don't people who aren't fit to be parents use birth control? I will go to my grave not understanding why. O.K. Edited to add: My comment is very harsh. What I should have posted was why don't they willingly give up these children -- no matter what age the children are -- for adoption? There are so many people "out there" who would love to give a wonderful life to an unwanted and unappreciated child! {I apologize, but my anger got in the way. I am still a strong proponent of birth control.}
Moo..it is not that easy. You can safely drop a babe...up to a certain age. After that age, it really isn't as simple as ... please take child....moo

Who thinks Jayden's mother is covering for her husband?

Thanks for linking this, @tlcya .
From the link :
Trooper Matt Gayheart confirmed to WKYT that the body of 10-year-old Jayden Spicer was recovered in an isolated area on Canoe Road on Tuesday.
Rbm.
So, not near his grandma in the cemetery, then ?
Whoever took him there meant for him to never be found.
Guilt must have weighed heavily on her and whomever else may have known.
Lying to the police and tampering with a body would be possible charges.

From tlcya's link, I think that same trooper had given interviews soon after the Kevin Mullins murder by Mickey Stines ?

I recognized the name and distinctive voice.
Imo.

Rest in gentle peace, Jayden !!!
I’m doubting anyone was feeling guilt, MOO.

Who thinks Jayden's mother is covering for her husband?
This is my theory. Jayden's mother entered into a new relationship; maybe even gave birth to the new partner's child. Jayden was not wanted by the new partner of his mother. Jayden is no longer alive. [Not the end of the story. My opinion only.]

Sometimes I almost wish I didn’t know how to read.

I have close friends who were adopted, one as an infant, and the other two were 4 and 7 years old.
Lovely people with wonderful parents --who opened their homes to children in need.
Someone would have taken Jayden in if his bio mom had simply decided she could not or would not care for him.

I think DCFS may bear some responsibility in where he was placed after his great grandma's death, and that troubles me greatly.
How much did they know about Felicia and her boyfriend ?
More than we would have known, imo !

BBM: I think there should be an investigation for how DCFS handled or mishandled this case. His death could have been avoidable.

It's starting to hit me. Poor Jayden, adorable CHILD who lost his caring mawmaw and it all went downhill from there. I hope you are with her now. You deserved more. Fly High!

Losing his great grandma cost him his life.

The world can be such a cruel place.

Bracing myself for the presser --

Good question !!!

Oh, here I keep thinking boyfriend.
That's right it sounds like they're married and she also has his surname.
🙄
Who thinks Jayden's mother is covering for her husband?

So, what is her charges?

The pc hearing should be coming in a few days ??
Then we'll know more.

I’m doubting anyone was feeling guilt, MOO.
You're probably correct.
Sigh... I'm giving way too much credit where none is due.
Hoping for the harshest justice possible for Jayden's killer.
I admit I'm doubting the accident if that's what Felicia claims !
Omo.

Why on earth did CPS give this child to his mother when there were other people who loved him dearly?

This breaks my heart. I almost did not click on this thread because it affects me so hard. Another precious little boy gone.

I think that's entirely possible.

Sometimes the most dangerous person in a child's life is mom's new husband or boyfriend.
No emotional attachment and I've often wondered if some men (or women) become jealous of the child from a previous relationship ?
Selfish of the adult, and horrifying if this happened in Jayden's case, as the child didn't ask to be born and it wasn't his fault !
Imo.

(sigh)

I really wish I knew.

Too many rules in place, the child care system is broken, Social Workers are overwhelmed.
