Even if he didn't sleep, gun first still doesn't explain the need to orchestrate the shower photo shoot.

Gun was last.

I even heard it characterized in the past 48 hours by one medical examiner as "an afterthought".

Close-in, excessively violent murders via repeated bludgeoning and stabbing usually express an intense level of hatred for and/or revenge on the victim.

LE always knows to start with the usual suspects in these cases.

There was domestic violence in this case, alright.

And the perpetrator of same is the accused.

Ah so that is why he had his chair turn so visibly with his back to Jodi this week. Jeanine would be so proud that we recognize it!

I'm kind of undecided about this. While the average person might see this as rude behavior, I think Nurmi is so clueless I don't think his body language fits normal patterns. JMO

She didn't shoplift it while buying the 3rd gas can?

No, no. She claims he threw it to her after they had sex on the front porch and it made her feel like a "gasp" prostitute. Obviously if this were true and he did throw it to her he was thinking a pretty cheap prostitute at best. I think he may have dropped it unknowingly and she used the experience to make him look bad. jmo

This picture is the relative size of most 25 cal handgun.
As you can see if it was in a holster it would take a bit of time to get one of these little guns out.
It would also if loaded with a shell in the chamber and ready to fire that the possibility of it going off just from picking it up wrong would be quite possible.
That is why most people do not leave a live shell in the chamber and ready to fire.
If they did leave the gun in a ready to fire mode they sure wouldn’t leave it with the safety in the off position.
This is why Jodi said the gun was in a holster then she couldn’t remember if the gun was in a holster or not.
If it was in a holster Travis would have surely caught her by the time she could have got it out of a holster.
I think if they brought a gun expert into court with one of these guns and showed the jury the loading and firing procedure, putting the safety off and taking one out of a holster that it would prove she brought the gun with her.
She said she had no experience with guns so how would she even know it was loaded and how to fire it.
There is no way she could have had time to check if it was loaded and ready to fire.
If you had no experience with a gun like this you wouldn’t even know where the safety button or lever was.
Holsters come in a wide variety but a common trait with mst of them is they come with a strap that holds the gun in the holster so it won’t fall out.

Yeah, I know.

Like you, I was only kidding.

There probably was no Toblerone.

But she considered it "de-edifying" enough to make up a "sorta contemporaneous" story about it.

I am late to the 180 picture discussion. I am interested in knowing more about picture number 163. It shows a window screen laying on the ground. I want to know what window this came from.
I am one of the ones that believes Jodi snuck back into the house. While she was in the home she could of unlocked the window from the inside, knowing she was coming back for the murder.
I think that if it was removed by Travis or a roommate they would of placed it up against the house so that it wouldn't be stepped on. The way it is laying there looks like an intruder did it.

Body language is not something we normally think about. We just do it without realizing how it looks. JW sits facing the judge, side-by-side with Jodi and talks with her. Nurmi rarely talks with her. He gives us the impression he hates his job and given he defends sexual misconduct clients it is understandable. Someone has to do it and it seems to be what he has chosen, like it or not. He has put distance between he and Jodi. Even at the end of court on Thursday while he and Jodi were standing together and he leaned into her to tell her something, he kept that wall up between them. She does not like him either by her body language. When Jodi tries to use body language it comes off as fake, such as her hand jesters to the jury. jmo

Prosecution has the journal that Sky Hughes was ordered to turn over to Flores.

The journal Sky Hughes was ordered to turn over TA journals?

Yes, but I don't know how she gained possession of them in the first place.

This is Capone's .25 caliber.

Given JA's mitts, she could fit two of these in one hand.

Regardless of whether the gun jammed, I think the knife attack had to come first. What was the point of orchestrating that ridiculous photo shoot if not to get him in a defenseless (seated) position and cornered on three sides by the shower, with her blocking the only route of flight?

To have him wash off the DNA of their prior sexual encounters that day.

Good morning!

I think she planned to kill with the gun, too. Like you said, it jammed and no second shot. Maybe she even wanted it to look like a suicide in the shower. Then she could really present her sad, ex-girlfriend act.

Once she realized it didn't work, I can even imagine her saying something like "Oh, no - you ARE going to die!" She got the knife and kept going. Maybe why it was so quick and frenzied. She was going to make sure he died, and was in a little bit of a panic. But, no matter what, she premeditated his death.

So sad.

I also speculated about JA setting up a suicide scenario. However, I discounted it because of the ME's decision that the gun shot came last and the presence of the knife. Maybe JA always carried a knife in her backpack. I can imagine JA carrying a knife because of her rough background. I'm rethinking this right now.

Let's see...there are 2 stories.
1. She was going on a camping /gold mine trip with a few guys she knew, and trusted...although she would be the only woman, so just for safety.

2. She had written suicide letters and sent them grandma-ma to be opened later. She certainly couldn't kill herself in Yreka. It was to small of a city, and everybody new everybody's business, plus she didn't want to do that to her family. So she rented a car, already had the gun....so she was leaving town to do it BUT darn ~ she was arressted before she could kill herself.

So pick one, anyone you want. Because neither are true in my opinion.

BBM Although, the fact that Yreka was too small a city where everybody knew everyboy's business was NOT the reason she drove 100 miles to Redding to rent a car. She was surprised that she didn't know or recognize anybody when she moved back to Yreka. {rrrrrrrright}

This jury has heard hundreds of inconsistencies (lies) in her testimony.

My guess is it dropped out of his pocket and she just kept it. lol

Actually, that's exactly what Jodi said in her testimony, I thought. That he dropped it out of his pocket. Then Nurmi says, Oh, so he threw you a candy bar? Perhaps somebody who is reviewing her early testimony can check it out.

I think that is one of the photo's from her grandparent's home. From the burglary on May 28th

I still lean more towards believing the gunshot came first.

Why? Because what other reason would she of stole it from grandparents. (premeditated)

Order of sequence: moo ;)

1. They wake up 12:00ish have sex romp , Jodi did not get "love" from Travis.
2. Travis kicks her out and he believes he is done with Jodi because she is going to Utah to see Ryan B. (which i'm not sure if Travis even knew about this).
3. She sneaks back in (as she usually does) and takes pics of him showering without his knowledge. She pulls out the "gun" shoots him in the head. (last pic of look of terror, sadness).
4. The gunshot "unfazes him" and he manages to step out of the shower and "lunges" at her to defend himself.
5. He is leaning over the sink; Jodi realizes Travis is not dead and runs and gets a "knife".
6. She starts stabbing him in the back, head.
7. He turns around (defensive wounds); she stabs him in the chest (heart).
8. He manages to STILL fight for life and crawls down the hall towards to doorway to get out of the bedroom.
9. She grabs him, and slits his throat.
All in less then 2 minutes....
10. She drags him back to the shower, turns it on and makes a feeble attempt to clean-up.

Then the FOG .....

Yes, but I don't know how she gained possession of them in the first place.

One of the roommates got it and gave it to her for safe keeping? Maybe ???

: MOTION IN LIMINE TO PRECLUDE DR. DEMARTE’S CONCLUSIONS PURSUANT TO “SARA”

Who is Sara, or is that an acronym of a certain standard of law? What does it stand for?

It's not either/or.

It's both.
