I'm just watching GMA and they are catching everyone up to the case. I'm so amused by the interrogation room footage of JA doing head stands, singing Dido (thanks for ruining that song for me), and digging through the police wastebasket like a raccoon. :floorlaugh:
Was this the beginning of a insanity plea she might have been considering back in 2008? I think she's insane for wearing those horrible white flared pants. Was this the same day she asked police for more time to put on makeup before bringing her in? And yet she went with that outfit.

How better to rid it of DNA and fingerprints? Now why she purposely put it in the washing machine is beyond me. She so easily could have disposed of it with the knife, gun, bloody clothing, etc.

I think that's why many people struggle with her washing it deliberately because everything else left with her and it seems a truly silly mistake given how elaborate the rest of her cover up was.

She could've taken the camera, but she didn't. Not only is it heavy but its also a very bulky camera. She could've taken the memory card out of the camera but the fact she didn't leads me to believe she truly thought she'd deleted everything and nothing would be recoverable.

Again, the intent was to wash the blood down the drain (water) and back to the Earth. There was no cover up ideas in mind imo.

Hello everyone! I'm on vacation in Ft. Myers Beach, Florida - and wouldn't you know it, there is court today - the luck I have...

I mean, it's not like I PLANNED my vacation around this trial.

I prefer, artfully rearranged for maximum multitasking (I think Jodi would like that line).

I'm half-kidding - I didn't know the trial would still be going on this long, but then again, I had never 'met' Nurmi before this case, so I had no idea the beast of a trial that was in store...

Anyway guys, I normally read along and today, I actually get to WATCH! (Instead of reading a book by the pool, I'm trial watching.)

Can't wait to read along with you guys today and watch in real time.

The bottom line here is maybe she did suffer from "Acute stress reaction", but why was she able to go on "normally" when back in Yreka?

She was plotting her alibis and asking anyone and everyone about Travis' murder to solidify her plot to lie (again).

I have thought the same about the sex tape. The beginning and the end sound like a normal conversation but the middle part where all the sex fantasy is going on sounds disjointed from the rest of the conversation. It just does not "flow" right to me. I am also bugged by the fact that during this supposedly long conversation that you hear very few sounds from the phone itself being moved. If you have a phone to your ear, you can hear when the person on the other end moves their phone as in readjusts its position and such and since this was recording both of them there should have been many, many phone movement sounds heard but there weren't.

After TA's supposedly ejaculates during the sex fantasy conversation and then goes to clean himself up you can definitely hear a distinct break in the sound. Then when he comes back nothing is mentioned about what just happened between them. There are no comments about "that was good" or anything. It was like he had just gone to take a leak or something and then comes back to the phone.

I just have serious doubts about the authenticity of tape as a whole.

I'll tell you what, she would have been better off with an insanity plea cause that woman is cookoo!! I was telling my friend this weekend that even though I despise Casey Anthony with every fiber of my being, I was never afraid of her. Jodi is a whole other ball of wax, I am actually afraid of her. She is absolutely diabolical! I'm just waiting for her head to make a full 360 degree turn and for her to projectile vomit green slime. When she had that cold sore I thought for sure it was the beginning stage of her eventually looking like this:

The reason I'm trying to find this is because my hubby and I were just discussing it. I cant remember what position she said she was in other than that she was on the floor. My question is, if he kicked her with so much force to break that finger, #1 wouldn't there be at least some injury to some other fingers. How could his shoe have only made contact with just that one finger. #2 if she was kicked that hard her hand would not have been enough protection and her putting up her hand wouldn't have protected from more bodily injury.

If you were on the floor and and put your hand up to deflect a kick it wouldn't stop the foot from making contact with the body and therefore she should have suffered more injuries to where ever he meant to kick her.

We also thought about this rope thing. In the sex tape they discussed this tied to a tree thing being a photo shoot. She stated TA had been wanting to tie her up for a long time. Why wouldn't they have taken pics of that?
Could Juan bring either of these things up in rebuttal?

Gotcha, but it is my feeling that it is a little more important than some of her other silly lies. This whole parking scenario is key to one of the aspects of premeditation.....that it was ultimately her who messed around with the license plates, and not some skaters. It has long been said that there are no parking bumpers at all in that parking area, and she was VERY exacting and specific about where she parked and the overall parking situation there. She recalled in photographic detail the tag leaning up against the "cinderblock" bumper.

The point is for me, that it is not that she just honestly has misremembered the situation (and I am unwilling to give her credit for any honesty at all). But that IF she parked where she SAYS she parked, it would be IMPOSSIBLE for the skaters to have removed her front tag. Since she made the front tag such and elaborate part of the back tag story, and connected the two, it follows that is is UNLIKELY that there were skaters at all.

I cannot even believe that I am wasting time thinking about her ridiculous stories and parsing her multitude of lies, but at least here at WS, I can take comfort in the fact that I have PLENTY of company! Looking forward to trial today!

Anyone think Jodi may have taken the plate off of another car and used it until she got to the desert on her way to Utah and changed the rear plate back to the original in the dark and that is why it's upside down. It's funny that her very first story is that "skater's" removed the plate when she could have done that very thing herself with someone else's car. I don't believe she wanted to get stopped at all. Some truth that the plate was removed from the car (she could have removed someone's plate at Starbucks and later put it on her car and removed the rental's front plate). Makes more sense than her story. She tells Flores in her statement that there are cameras that would have caught her plate. (Even upside down the camera takes a picture and you just turn the picture around to read the plate???). If she had a different plate on they would never be able to track it to her, only that a driver reported it missing. Most people who find their plate missing think it dropped off while on the highway. Not uncommon to think that if one plate is still on the car. jmo

Yes scary & disturbing. I think she even laughs out loud a couple of times when she is in there by herself. She did ask the detective if she could fix her makeup prior to being booked & is promptly told no. :floorlaugh:

I could have seen myself doing what she did at one time. A flash card contains a microchip where data is stored. Fluids and microchips don't go together, so I'm told. Washing machine cycle + microchip = death to chip and no way to recover data (deleting the pictures beforehand was just an added precaution). As someone else pointed out, taking his new camera with her would have pointed to a suspect who was very close, like a batshit crazy ex-girlfriend with a fetish for taking pictures of men in showers.

I think that she got Travis to sit down to review the pictures, and then stabbed him as he was trying to get up. (I can't help thinking her lies are laced with some truth.) Then they both wound up on floor, the true version of the "bodyslam."
As for the camera in the wash, I think she did what I do, made a pile for the wash and a pile to take with, and then stuck the camera in the wrong pile in her haste.

There are numerous Starbucks in that area. We know which store it is from the receipt with store number and address printed on it.
