Still the seal.

Courtroom according to IS is packed on both sides.

To a point I agree. I believe Jodi perceives her treatment as abuse but the term abuse can be subjective to many. Certainly it wouldn't rise to the legal standards of abuse. (For that matter I lived in domestic abuse for 10 years and much of my abuse wouldn't meet legal standards either so I am sympathetic to real victims of psychological abuse as a rule. I don't consider Jodi to be a victim in any capacity.)

I think though, like you, that whatever has happened to Jodi is turned and twisted in a way that benefits only herself. For me, even with corroboration there simply is no mitigation for what she did to Travis, his friends, and his family. Prior to his death, through his death, and following his murder. The only explanation imo for continuing to hurt those already harmed through losing him is sadism, pure and simple.

Oooooh, great point! She had a gun and a knife but she used the knife first.

i feel like jodi's discrepancies are a result of her trying to be clever, such as the welts that come from spoons yet not from belts, or her father being thin now but huge then and not leaving marks,

she tries to make it sound true by not picking the obvious answer...she is going to go down in flames.

Oh,come on!!!

What Punky Brewster hairstyle will she have today?

I would be four score against pigtail braids if i was her Lawyer :floorlaugh:

Gosh, this is annoying. I know this isn't the judges fault, but really, it's worse then being at the doctors office. Sheesh.

rare that a defendent testifies....very sad. I would have loved to have seen Juan get a hold of Casey, Drew, and Scott.

I hope that on rebuttal, the Prosecution finds some people to say why Jodi was disciplined, how she acted and behaved, how she treated her parents, teachers, etc. Her story about ditching her final exam in high school because she didn't study for it and just deciding she could make it up the next day speaks to the fact that she had no respect for her teacher or the rules, and I assume that was a problem that was spread to everyone her life.

Jodi was (and is) better than everyone else. Rules don't apply, social norms be damned. What Jodi wanted, Jodi got. Any attempt to stop Jodi's unruliness was unjust abuse and she was always the victim. I hope testimony from others will outline what a jerk she has always been, and that her discipline was much deserved.

Are they going to be able to ask her about the stalking and slashing now since the DT brought it out in prior testimony? TIA

They will get to cross her on every single door the defense opens in direct. We will see what else they decide to serve up to Martinez on a silver platter.

It's great to feel so welcome by this sarcastic comment and many others "liking" the sarcastic attack on my original comment. I must have missed that portion of her testimony yesterday, since that was the entire scope of my original comment. I didn't hear JA make any references to any of those things in her testimony yesterday. Guess I will go back to not commenting on a site that clearly isn't as receptive as I thought to different perspectives. Good luck.
Respectfully you put forth your opinion admitting you hadn't followed the case and presumably didn't know much about it.

Posters who have followed the case very closely felt it necessary to point out where simply believing Jodi on the weight of her testimony alone could prove fallible.

Posters respectfully disagree with one another quite literally all the time. Just ask who thinks he was shot first compared to who believes he was stabbed first. (And NO! I am not opening that one up for discussion again! :floorlaugh:)

Hi kidz! I was here during the Conrad Murray trial, then life intervened. Watching the Defendant take the stand is always fun. At the rate they went yesterday, I suspect her lawyer will have her on direct all day today. One other thing: no doubt the flat affect will be used by Defense "experts" as evidence of prior abuse. The cross will be fascinating.

glad you are here!:rocker:

Oooooh, great point! She had a gun and a knife but she used the knife first.

Knives are personal and she got to see some suffering. Horrible suffering. Which in her mind he deserved.

Per Jinkosaurus on IS . . . . the courtroom is filled to capacity. Do we have any beloved WS members there? . . . . today is gonna be a doozie! . . . . (if we don't fall asleep listening to the minutia (sic?) details of things that don't matter) . . .

I predict no details of the actual crime . . . . .she will claim she "blacked out" or disassociated in some way. . . .

I think JA is a chameleon who morphs herself into what she thinks her target wants. She wanted a man who would provide her the good life. She is now in prison. Wanna bet she aligns herself with those who she believes have the most power in jail? IMO JA is amoral.
