Or the sadistic glee a predatory psychopath feels when maligning another?

Wonder if she will be gleeful when describing her slaughter of TA. Hope the jury watches her smiling.

If I were on the jury, I'd be greatly disturbed at how she smiles (smirks) throughout her testify. Especially the "traumatic" stuff like when her family was threatened by her other boyfriend. I swear I just want to punch her through the TV screen.

What a BS story!! Notice how she always "innocently" finds out when her man is cheating? She "accidentally" sees love letters on a computer or these mysterious people came and told her about another BF was cheating.

The truth is that she probably snoops and stalks and THAT is how she finds out but she doesn't want to say that. Just like she was eavesdropping at C. & S. H's house when they were telling TA that Jodi was no longer welcome at their house because she creeped them out.

I was actually shocked that she admitted to how she found the 'love letters' on the library computer when her one man was cheating. In other words, it wasn't innocently. She admits he was emailing a lot while there (with her) and she admits she suspected it was to the girl he'd been phone friends with..and she admits she suspected there was more to it than what he'd said. She wanted to find out for sure if her instincts were on point. So what does she admit to doing? She admits she waited until they'd left the library, with he going back to work and her pretending to go on her own way as well...then she goes back to the library...with the Purpose of looking at his emails.

I DO hope Martinez calls her out on this BS story. (Imo, she knew the guys password). She claims the guy had Hotmail email at the time. She says she isn't quite sure what kind of security they had on the computers/email/etc back in those days. She says that because of what she is about to claim. Which is : that she went back into the library and Simply Hit the BackBrowser button and Bam! There are ALL of the boyfriends emails to the other girl! hahhahah...what a total and utter LIE!

Again..shocked she would readily admit to snooping in his email. I hope this jury is paying close attention. There is no way that story is true as told..other than the part where she purposely DID go snoop into his email. Just like she did to Travis all those years later. JMO

Unfortunately so much of a trial is theater, staging.

I do think that if Juan Martinez stays cool and methodical, JA will unravel. She has no idea what to do with steely reserve, in my opinion.

He need to ask a yes or no question and when she starts her story (this is a story to Jodi. This is a very sick woman.), stop her right there, .

One question could be, Did you murder Travis Alexander? (not killed, but murdered, a harsher word) and then dog her till she hurts. Would Jodi just stop talking and just sit there if Juan kept her from talking?

What strikes me about her testimony is the use of the word we.

We decided
We thought
We were going to

Seems like everything she said was we.

I'm sure there's something in the psychology of all this, like enmeshment or thinking for another person but not what she thought herself.

Maybe it's just me, I've missed allot but it just struck me as odd. She seems to have problems respecting others boundaries.

OK so i just got back home, I'm now watching JA on the stand from this morning, except for the hair change and different blouse it seems more of the same as yesterday. Is there any chance JM has questioned her beofre the lunch break??? If not I think I'll just read here so I can catch up.

This would make a great discussion thread. I have often asked myself what would constitute the death penalty for ME if I were on a jury.

I know without a doubt I would have no trouble giving death to some low life that hurt, raped, killed a child. Or a heinous crime that resulted in the death of the victim. Or premeditation. Which I believe this is.

Part of me does not believe that Jodi was so used and abused all her life that she just snapped as Travis was the last straw. I think Jodi’s use and and abuse possibly contributed to the sociopath she seems to be. So when the time came, she had no problem planning and carrying out the murder of Travis, who would not take her to Cancun.

She deserves penalty from the full extent of the law! Don't care who TA was or what he did. He didn't slaughter her or even bruise her.

... 11 male and 7 female jurors and how they're likely to view JA recounting what are supposed to be very emotionally intense and pivotal moments in her life with such seeming apparent detachment?
I'd like to request 'Domestic Violence 101' for the jurors prior to their deliberating because if you've never lived in the insanity of an abusive relationship you may not see just how textbook a predator Jodi is against just how much a victim Travis was.

I think JM's cross is going to be short and sweet and to the point. He's going to ask if she killed any of these other boyfriends. He's going to make it obvious that all of these bedtime stories were pointless.

I realize that's probably the right way to go, and Juan's style. However, for my personal satisfaction, I would LOVE to hear him go at her point by point. I want to know if she knows how to squirm. I'm vindictive. What can I say??

If I were on the jury I would think it is odd to listen to somebody describe their entire life to date with no emotion whatsoever.

I think I went camping at Ventana campground around that time. I had a lovely time. Though little did I know I had a narrow brush with infamy.

Based on various responses from people watching jodi, it is so hard to tell. I would hope most view her with disdain and as the liar that she is. I would hope that mean would feel squeamish listening to a person like jodi. But people bring different experiences and psychological contexts to the table that may cause them to view her differently. That scares me!!!!

You never know with a jury.

I don't buy it. Dr. Drew does, but not me. We allllllll saw Casey Anthony "perform" in the courtroom in front of the jurors. Then yuck it up when they were out of the room. Unfortunately, this courtroom doesn't keep the camera rolling for us to see how JA really acts. It's an act. Pure and simple.
