They are now up in her hairline somewhere!

I can't watch TV from here, DVR'ing InSession for tonight's entertainment... Is the phyciatrist lady in question the one with the thick russion/german accent, short blonde hair and too much botox?

Watching Galanos on HLN...
Does anyone believe JA wanted on that stand just to get the 'sex tapes' in with TA?

I realize there was no way JA could stay off the stand bc she appears to fit the psychopath description but this with those tapes doesn't seem relevant IF she was enjoying it, makes no sense... help attorneys!!

I have had my tv muted as cannot listen to this german woman on IS. Bye bye lady!

WTF did they get her and why continue to have her on.

IS needs to do a Nilsen study to see how many switch channels or mut or do their hair when she comes on.

Think I will plan on having plans every day when she is on!

Does anyone else have a headache? My head is about to explode. This is so hard to listen to.

Well one thing is for certain she finds fault with everyone but herself.

imo

By having her on the stand for what appears to be days of mind-numbing nothingness, the defense thinks the jury will see JA as a human and connect with her in that way so that when it comes time to deciding life or death, they will not unanimously vote death (and yes, unanimous is required).

The easiest path for a jury is to not give the DP. I think it's becoming an increasingly rare event.

So I have a question. If any body knows, great. Otherwise I guess I will post it for the lawyers. Although for some reason I think Madeleine74 is one.

IF the jury does not vote for death, is that it? She gets off? Is there not a lesser charge they can go with? Or can they vote gulity, but no death penalty?? I knew how THE OTHER CASE worked in that regards, but not this one. TIA

It's not a 'town' per se... it is a community, like a development. There is a resort and golf course, and it is very high end. It must have really pissed her off that Darryl's ex was able to live there when she couldn't. And boy, the way Darryl described her with his son is VERY different than the way she apparently felt. He was like an afterthought to her and Nurmi had to try and save her in direct examination in regards to him. She and Darryl were going to keep him and move to Sacramento- BS. She couldn't even be bothered to recall herself that the little boy had a bedroom there, FGS! I don't think Jodi would be lovey dovey to a little boy OR the ex wife, I am certain of that. She took the master bedroom and saved $10-12,000. She must not have been paying for much in that household.
Agreed totally but if she could gain something from appearing that way you can bet she did. Even if the gain was minor - like Darryl trusting her just a little more.

My ex is a perfect example of this. I was the only one who saw how he casually dismissed (and even emotionally abused) our kiddos unless there was an audience present when he would turn into Super Dad. During our divorce it was very easy for the court to believe he was the concerned, involved dad he'd portrayed himself as to those audiences.

Fortunately his mask slipped and within a year his visitation rights were suspended altogether.

If cheating is a non-negotiable in your relationship (and I realize it isn't for everyone) and you're already at the point where you don't trust your sig other/spouse, then it's time to let go altogether. Trust has to be the foundation. Sleuthing them comes after you already don't trust them so to me that's an unnecessary step. If one gets an 'uh oh' feeling in the pit of their stomach, that's really all that's needed. Intuition gives us important info if we pay attention to it.

Well town or community when I address things to my aunts and uncles (I have three sets who live there) I address it La Quinta, CA. It's a nice place other than the fact it gets upwards of a 112 in the summertime. Yikes!

It's an incorporated city since 1982. Sounds like a nice place except for summer temps........

Oh Darryl's an alcoholic, according to Jodi, but she's more concerned about him smoking.

There go the grandparents under the bus ..they were chain smokers.

she reminds me of flypaper.
short story. i was hanging a spool in the barn some how it caught on my hair. the more i tried to get it out, the more hair was caught. had to cut my hair to get free of it. comparison travis tried to cut her out of his life. so sad he let her into his house and bed that last time. :moo:

re: cheating Matt

So she goes home early from her job, drives 1.5 hours to have a friendly chit chat with Bianca and then goes home. rut roh?

Oh how I wish we could hear from Biana who was probably scared for her life when Jodi showed up out of the blue.

That is classic stalker behaviour. If she thought he was cheating, you talk to the boyfriend. You don't drive 1.5 hours to talk to his lover. She's lucky she's alive IMHO. Or at least she didn't have her tires slashed.

What a whack-a-doodle, or as we say at WS (unusual person).

MOO

I gave up trying to keep up with everyone on these threads, and every thing I wanted to say has already been said so eloquently by other members - just stopping in to say "hi" and I'm here with you all, praying for justice for Travis! Can't wait till Juan gets his chance at her - getting my popcorn ready!

Thanks to all for for your insightful posts, helpful links, and definitely the humor that is needed to lighten the mood sometimes.

Oh I love this forensic psychologist. She is widely known and very successful.

She makes such logic sense. She is not falling for Jodi's games.

I think JM's cross is going to be short and sweet and to the point. He's going to ask if she killed any of these other boyfriends. He's going to make it obvious that all of these bedtime stories were pointless.

For selfish reasons, I hope it is not (short and sweet). I love to watch Juan Martinez at work. With previous witnesses, as we watched him dig for the truth, we saw him hunt it, kill it, dress it, wrap it up and hand it to the jury. It was a breathtaking performance. I'm in standing ovation mode, hoping for an encore.

Watching her testifying is a real gift to the prosecution! The jury is going to HATE her! Mark my words.

Lol...just as the saying..."A waste...a huge waste" is associated with Casey Anthony,
"mark my words" will forever be associated with Jodi Arias.

And totally inappropriate, do you agree? If you suspect your spouse/bfriend/gfriend of cheating, don't you sit down and talk with them? Is it really appropriate to go into detective (dare I say "sleuth") mode? What if she had been wrong - that he was not cheating? I guess it is a matter of opinion but I think out of respect for the person you are dating, you should talk to them first.

And how scary is it that she is hunting these girls down like prey? Meek pushover my a$$.

Why am I having the urge to shave off my eyebrows and draw them on way above where they were originally?

Two phases to the trial.

1. Guilt phase (which we are in now)

2. Penalty phase (only *if* the jury convicts her of first degree or felony murder).

In phase 2 the jury has to make a choice. Death or Life. If they can't agree, then the default is LIFE in prison. The only way she'll get the DP is if all 12 jurors unanimously vote for the death penalty.

She won't walk away if she is convicted!

She'll be in prison. Probably for life.

HOWEVER, if the unthinkable happens and the jury believes her LIE of killing because of self-defense and they ALL (all 12) vote that way, then yes, she could walk out at the end of this, free.

If the jury cannot decide on guilt and there is a split in not guilty and guilty, and they simply cannot come to any decision, then the judge will call a "mistrial" and the case will be retried again by the State of AZ at some point in the future.

OMG... she's kind of "chuckling and smiling" as she tells how Bobby put her in a stranglehold and she almost passed out and then fell on her knees..?!!

That is NOT a typical response to reliving such a horrid memory. I know there are people who show inappropriate emotion as a sign of nervousness or other disorders. But what I just caught of that chuckle & slight smile comes off more as GLEE! ... Would it be:

-- Glee at having had such (dangerous) excitement in her life?
-- Or the glee of pulling the wool over the jury's eyes, having fun LYING?

WOW! That's as hot as a Texas heatwave, and I've lived through quite a few of those now in my old age. I had no idea it got that hot in California, any part of Cali. :what:
