If she truly is a psychopath I believe only the following could have prevented this crime:

1) Jodi and Travis never met.
2) Jodi found a new source of supply and left Travis.
3) Jodi incarcerated or dead.

I think it was already too late by the time his tires were slashed. She'd invested too much in him by that point to ever allow him to leave her easily. MOO

Even though what she says has a near zero credibility rate, yesterday when she was talking about how she almost threw away the PPL brochure and DVD, but instead looked through it and called for more information... my heart broke. If that was true, if she had just thrown away the damn PPL company information, they never would have met and Travis would be alive fulfilling his potential, living a good life with his family and friends. That thought makes me so sad.

I think there is an evidentiary (sp?) hearing tomorrow. Maybe 10:30 for that? I'm setting my alarm to get up just in case. :banghead: I hate to get up before Noon!

I've had a Hershey bar melt (I live fairly close to Hershey Park and Chocolate World...was stupid and went to Chocolate World before the Park, bought some chocolate, put it in the car then went into the park, had soup when I got back to the car)....I licked it off the wrapper, it was so good! I;m not hating on you, I;m scared. I can only hope that Juan Martinez compares her testimony, her mannerism and tone with her lies in police interviews and media interviews and points out that she is acting the very same way as she did when she was clearly lying then. I hope that works but I;m not sure it will. Live testimony from a soft-spoken young female is "compelling" stuff.



Guys, this is exactly why I am scared to death. It takes just one person on the jury to feel this way, in religious, conservative AZ.

To Artisana, first, you are assuming everything jodi states is true, even though she is a proven liar.

Second, I am very offended that anyone would act as flippant about murder and compare it in any way shape or form to caddish behavior or even to what some may consider deviant, yet totally consensual sex. Your post does that, IMO. The message is, "Yeah, she murdered him, oh well. But HE had anal sex with her! So clearly he drove her to murdering him! I mean, he is gross so didn't he kind of justify the killing? Didn't he kind of ask for it? Didn't he deserve it?"

That is the message I'm getting from you post. I find that message vastly, exponentially more offensive than consensual, anal sex, especially on a victim friendly forum.

My prayers to Travis' family and friends who have to deal with these attitudes and hear lies and exaggerations about their loved one.

God bless them and God bless Travis Alexander, a human being whose life was ripped from his body.

Don't be afraid. I am a Christian and very conservative and don't care for all the lifestyles I hear about. I am not even watching this testimony but reading all the posts because she makes me ill. However, she had every chance to stay away from Travis. BUT she slaughtered him and in my opinion no amount of abuse is cause to slaughter someone. In self defense, wouldn't you shoot someone or stab them if you HAD to and then run like crazy to the police? Come on. If I was on that jury, I would fight for Travis. Period. I believe they will find her guilty of felony, first degree murder and have believed this from day one. I am so sad for Travis family to have to see his named dragged through the mud and to know most of it is likely lies.

See minor, This is the part I have a horrible problem with:


the only reason they raised the self defense justification was to allow them to bring in some negative info about Travis. They all know he was not abusive, and they know she does not truly have a self defense case.

This may be how to "play the game", but it is despicable to me. I grieve for the Alexander family for having to go through this simply because the defense wants to play games. I wish it were illegal.

Totally agree with you. It borders on unethical IMO, but I guess all's fair in a death penalty case. I would never allow myself to be in such a position as an attorney, and really have a hard time understanding how these lawyers can live with themselves.
