Opening statements aren't evidence though. I believe that those photos were entered into evidence. Even if the state didn't object for the purpose of trapping her in a lie, I can't see the defense putting them up if they couldn't be authenticated.
And no, btw, I didn't watch the Casey Anthony trial. But I've read about it enough here in this and other threads to know what you're referring to.

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Do you often wonder whether there is something just a little off about one of your friends, family members or co-workers? While they may not suffer from a mental disorder, they could be closer to having a mental "issue" than you think. There are warning signs of what one expert calls "almost-psychopaths."
We all have an idea of what a psychopath is, but some experts argue many of us might be closer to one that you might think. It's a theory that argues there's a very fine line when it comes to discerning mental fitness.
Psychopaths have a chronic mental disorder that causes abnormal or violent social behavior. But psychiatric experts say a large segment of the population operates in the gray areas between normalcy and true psychopathic behavior.
Harvard Medical School's Dr. Ron Schouten labels these folks as "almost-psychopaths," people who show a lack of empathy and an indifference to right or wrong, and don't care about anybody but themselves. Criminal defense lawyer James Silver believes about one in seven people fit the description.
"We're confident that there are tens of millions of 'almost-psychopaths' in the United States," said Silver. "And these are people who you have to deal with."
Schouten and Silver co-wrote a book called "Almost a Psychopath." They say watch out for these signs: superficial charm, arrogance, pathological lying and lack of remorse.
And be careful in relationships: "Almost-psychopaths" may come on strong.
"So suddenly you find yourself in a relationship going much too fast and you are the giver and they are consistently the taker," said Schouten.
Also called "successful psychopaths," at work they may cozy up to you just to steal your ideas.
"They're not really interested in helping the team. They are only interested in helping themselves. And then at the end they try to take credit for more than they should," said Silver.

Psychiatrists agree that people who don't meet the clinical definition of being a psychopath can still be destructive in personal relationships. But diagnosing them might not be necessarily useful because labels don't always contribute to understanding human relationships.
But Silver says it's important for people to be aware of "almost-psychopaths" because they may be hard to avoid.
"I'd say there's no way to never deal with an 'almost-psychopath.' The idea though is to understand that it isn't your fault if you've been fooled."
If you're worried you might be almost a psychopath yourself, relax: The fact that the idea concerns you at all is a good sign that you're not one. But if you take pride in the idea, you could have a problem.

She almost described that herself today with her Pollyanna blah de blah but her actual words in that testimony were so telling.
Ask an attorney on that attorney thread.
Just because the defense presents evidence doesn't mean it's true, verified, etc. the defense doesn't have to prove anything. That's the states job.

No he won't get a book deal. But I do wish they could pull him in for rebuttal.
OH I told Dr. Drew's producer AND Shana Hogan Anita Richman's "The Lost Boys" discovery. They were both amazed!

Gonna throw this out there... MOO... I have tried to stay objective from the very start of this trial. Yesterday, I'll admit, I felt a teenie, tiny bit of sympathy for Jodi. All along I have wondered how she (or anyone) could be so evil and do something as horrible as what she did to Travis. Today, any bits of sympathy I may have had is GONE.
I usually watch the JM, NG, and DrD shows but tonight, I simply could not, would not watch. I didn't care to see the recaps of her testimony today. It's all a blur, really. It's senseless, useless, vulgur, and down right filthy. Jodi is despicable. She loves talking about herself and how poor little Jodi didnt get the attention and respect she deserved. BooHoo... *puke*
I've said before and I'll say it again. Jodi placed herself in those situations. She subjected herself to rejection and humiliation. No one forced her to keep coming back for more. The hints were there... She just never got it. DUH!!! TA should have got out his red crayon and drew her a picture that said "Goodbye Psycho! Get lost!" Jodi was the sexual deviant! She will NEVER accept or admit that the problem was her. It's hard to listen to her anymore. I can't believe she's been on the stand so long... and said NOTHING relevant. I sure was glad the sex tape wasn't played today. Not sure if it just happened that way or if the Judge recessed to prevent it.
It will be hard to get through the rest of the defense but once its over, somewhere down the road... Travis will be remembered as the good guy that he is and not a 'sexual deviant' It wouldn't surprise me if someone writes a book about her called: "The Mormon's Wh*re" *I* have YET to hear anything abusive. Frankly I'm sick of hearing about JA's twisted sex life! I hope that the jury sees through her and she is NEVER on the streets again. EVER. **E-V-E-R!**

Nofound on Travis's computer. Didn't I read that there was photos found on Jodi's? What about Travis's cell phone? hmmm? I bet not...BOMB SHELL...I'm going to speculate here.
Going by what Katiecoolady said with JM talking to Travis's family and them sitting back, smiling.
I know this is a jump, but I'm jumping...I bet JM will have evidence to prove that today's vile photos (and the letter Jodi will produce and the valentine 'gift' and shirt and a few other letters) are all FAKE!

This is why JM allowed the photos to stay on the large screens in the court room and why the side discussions before hand and the discussions with the family and consoling and so on....it ALL MAKES SO MUCH SENSE! He is about to kill her charade!

Jurors have seen the pic of Jodi and I am sure they are thinking that is a road that's been traveled by many. Can Juan have a blow up in court of the portal in question?

I am feeling bad about it, she's almost 90 and now... Thanks to me she's having nightmares about it. I shouldn't have made her look and let her remain blissfully ignorant of the facts.
