Unfortunately, I don't think she feels any remorse or regret, I think she views her testimony/time on the stand as her last chance for an audience. I think the reason she slithered through life this long, is if you weren't around her for any length of time (& you didn't piss her off or become an object of her obsession), she could maintain the facade of a normal person. However, if you were to spend any time w/ her, the mask of normalcy would slip, & you would see the void that is JA's soul....

I'm sorry but I have to address the "dated for only five months" issue.

The months they "officially" dated are February through June 2007, which would make it only FOUR months and not five!

This is such a pet peeve of mine!

I'm constantly correcting my ten year old daughter with this over-sight (she says 9am to 12pm is 4 hours).

I'm sorry, but we just can't let her take another month of a title she doesn't even deserve.

Well --- February 2 through June 29 ...so almost 5 months, but I think these are random dates anyway. The only significance of June 29 is that is when Travis caught her snooping through his text messages.

AAaahhh that made me remember the smell of opening a fresh box of Crayons...YUM! Tomorrow my 14 month old grand daughter will be getting coloring books and crayons. But, I will buy Rose Art until I find out if Crayolas are providing crayons to Jodi. Well, that and the fact that she's only 14 months old and teething and I don't expect them to last very long. :floorlaugh:

IMO Now that I think about it, that crime scene picture that was being sold on ebay looked a LOT like crayons rather than her usual colored pencils. I saved the picture but I don't know if I'm allowed to post it to show you all...nurse...can I show the picture for reference?

Because I believe her to be a psychopath I don't believe love ever factored in. Psychopaths do tend to be more materialistic ime than non-disordered people though.

When talking about what attracted my ex to me and how we managed 10 years together I have to say this: I made him look good. Not because I'm particularly pretty, well educated, or rolling in money...but because every good trait about myself he was lacking in himself. Compassion, sensitivity, a deeply strict sense of right and wrong. By extension, in his mind, he had to be good because he was with me and I was good. I believe they are seperate incidents. So many mass shootings going on they are getting mixed up with each other. Crazy stuff.

In LA the police have shot up some innocent people who happen to drive the same vehicles as the suspect. Insanity.

I was wondering if that first location where they stayed in a hotel - forgot the name of the place, but she said it was in the middle of nowhere and maybe said it was in the desert. If anyone remembers the name of this place, I'd like to see if it was anywhere Jodi could have disposed of the murder gear while trotting across the country post-murder.

Looked up Ehrenberg, AZ on Wiki, what a small, strange place for them to have met. I saw it is near Quartzite. I have stopped at Quartzite years ago while traveling. Quartzite is near Ehrenberg, both off I-10. Maybe she stopped in Quartzite and threw the murder weapons in an old abandoned mine.

This is not always the case when you are talking about months. It depends when they started and ended.

If they began dating 2/4 and ended dating 6/25, IMO it would be 5 months. I don't know what the actual dates are though.

If a fraction of what she has said happened, then they were having some kind of sex. They were seeing each other for around 2 years and IMO it’s not a stretch to believe they had sex. I don’t like labeling TA, he’s just human and probably led her on for at least part of their ill fated relationship. I believe his image was very important to him and I also think Jodi wanted him to keep his image because she wanted to be a part of it. I can see her playing along with being the dirty little secret because in the long run she wanted his image for herself. Her goal was to share his status and his life.

Well said. I also posit that JA came to represent everything Travis found unpleasant in himself. Her ability to espouse Mormonism and yet be super-freaky in the sack made him see his, er, shortcomings. I think he was very put off by her but sex was his demon, and he had not yet figured out how to make peace with that demon.

Also, I have a strong feeling that what Travis struggled with (sex) is probably common as dirt in Mormonism. After all, these are you g men, biologically impelled to think with their $@&/s. I have no fear that Mormon jurymen will not be sympathetic to Travis. The chastity requirement goes against men's biology, our culture, and the lifestyle of most non-mormon's. Since we are not Gods but humans, weakness is our calling card. We struggle toward perfection. And it is a struggle. For all of us.
