They are going to know she doesnt have anything to back it up but her words and she is one of the worst pathological liars we seen lately..running neck and neck with CA.

They already know she lies with ease. Her demeanor is the same as it was in the long interrogation interview with Flores and the lies just keep on getting more outlandish.

I do consider Beth to be a crime news reporter. She has been a commentator on crimes for 20 years now. She not only is very knowledgable in the legal field but I do remember her saying that she went to school for journalism iirc.

I adore Beth. She is by far the most intelligent and very fair.

As if JA's not told enough lies already, they are now going this route! I don't completely understand this either. And it's taken JA 4 years to think this bs up too! If Travis was the sexual pervert they're attempting to make him out to be, why on earth would JA continue stalking him, sneaking into his home, and then plaster her undying love and make an internet memorial for such a man????? The bs speaks for itself... a desperate attempt to save their nasty, evil client, I know! But why will defense attorneys lower themselves to the same level as her? And especially Nurm? Didn't he want to be removed from the case altogether?
It will be so devastating to Travis' friends and family! I hope they won't sit there and listen to all of the horrid lies! :furious:

No, she was convicted and the jury only took 5 hours to do so. They did not buy the abuse claims.

The appeal court ruled that her attorney did not do his job in the sentencing phase so that is the only part that was re-done and she got 20 years this time instead of 25.

I think the state only asked for second degree in that case and got it. That case was in Tx instead of Az.

Yes this was after the murder. There has been speculation she had the license plate upside down on purpose so she would get a ticket in Utah...a ticket that would add to her paper trail that she was in Utah, not AZ.

Her undergrad degree is in political science and Spanish literature. She went to Fordham law and started with IS ft 8 years after graduation. She may have gone to school with the intention of being a journalist (much like I intended to go to med school) but didn't and hasn't.

Travis had gone to his bishop to get his life (and lifestyle) back on track.

Thi had to have sent JA into a raging panic - not only would she lose any and all leverage over him (sex, possible bribery, etc.), she would also be shunned by her new-found community of Mormon friends (read: Travis' friends) unless she actually walked the walk of her faith (which I think she deemed as no more important than a piece of clothing to don when it suited her).

This move by Travis meant a true concrete end of things and that freaked her. Seems like she got him to give in to her one last time... but then I think he explained - in no uncertain terms - that it was over. His bishop knew everything and Travis chose his faith over JA.

I think a conversation like this is read in Travis' facial expressions in the shower - that and perhaps his thinking she'd already left but there she was, invading his privacy yet again and taking pictures no less. Ugh.

That's my take, anyway. I think Cancun was the 2nd most important event that made JA want to destroy Travis.

just thought, he called her a three hole wonder and he died three ways. at her hands. when arrested she had 2 knives and a gun she had just purchased, more self defense? i think she cut his throat because he was almost to the bedroom and she was afraid he'd get to the phone. she dragged him back in the shower to wash away her dna on him and thinking quick on her feet she shot him to make it look like there was more than one attacker. this is my first post glad to meet you all!

I don't believe the bullet came last. I don't find the medical examiner's reasoning convincing. The evidence he cites has other explanations.

He cited two reasons

1. There were no signs of bleeding from the bullet wound.

Easily explained by the evidence that the body had undergone some cleaning with water after Jodi placed it in the shower. Based on the positioning of the body in relation to the shower head and faucet, Travis's head would have received the most of the cleaning attempt.

2. The bullet shell was found on dried blood.

Bullet shells are quite bouncy. Perhaps the shell ejected into a clean corner of the bathroom but as Arias was trying to clean the bathroom after the murder she kicked the shell, causing it to bounce onto a drying blood stain.

Logic says that Travis was first shot then knifed. Even Jodi says this. In her second story about the murder she indicated that the gunshot came first. She would have had no reason to lie about this because stating an incorrect sequence of events would gain her nothing as it risked contradicting the forensic science, thereby further undermining her credibility.

I really dont think Cancun had anything to do with the planned murder. I actually think it probably ticked her off more that he had made excuses not to come see her after all at the end of May and that is when she stoled the gun she used to shoot him with.

Jodi wanted to make sure that Travis never went anywhere again except to the graveyard. She knew she wasnt going to be going to Cancun before she made her trip. Travis' fatal mistake is he told her he no longer wanted her in his life and was going on with his. She would have none of that and she would show him what happens for telling her 'no more' and she did.
