Did she stab him in the back first? Did he know she had the knife?

I've often wondered if he saw her with the knife/gun and laughed at her thinking it was a joke of some kind. This would have set her off to actually use them.

I'm not making excuses for her by any means. JA went there with the express intent to 'convince' TA she was the only girl for him.

She said no jury will ever convict me. Asked why, because I am innocent. Then the most (to me) ridiculous revised explanation, she said it was because she was going to to commit suicide, (but put on her makeup for the interview). Why would she care that she would be put in a patted cell or whatever is she was suicidal. Boy talk about spinning a story. What an insult to ones intelligence in my opinion. moo

I think the jury should take her at her word: "if I did this, I would want the death penalty.". Okay. JA said she did this. So Jury, you are up. Give her what she asked for.

This is absolutely terrible for the family to be holding court this way, why did they not select a Judge who was not so bogged down with duties? (That) Florida trial was bam, bam, bam. Also tough on the jurors,BUT COME ON more on the poor family..

I agree! This court starts at 10:30am, is in session for 1.5 hours (IF they in fact started on time), then takes 1.5 hours for lunch. IF they resume on time after lunch, they're then in session 3 more hours minus a 10 -30 minute break. So IF all is on time (haha), that's 4 hours and 20 minutes of trial each day.

This carries on for 3 days a week, which is 13 hours a week! Never mind sidebars. And this is for a DP case...

God forbid I am ever falsely arrested for a murder in AZ and can't get bonded out. One could die of old age in jail just waiting for adjudication!

What'up with that AZ court system? It's seems very unfair to the victims.

That is totally hilarious too! And what appears to be the Harlem Boys Choir in there. :great::floorlaugh::great:

If I was Juan, I'd show then a split screen of Travis both in life and death...then play those words in the background as the last words in summation.

yes. I work on airplanes and we are offered this training since 911. You can take seminars without signing up for months worth of classes.

I also suggest concealed carry if you state allows it. Nothing makes me feel safer in my home than knowing I have my trusty Glock near. not to mention it is a super fun hobby! evaded to the range in a few hours.

I think the seminars would be a great place to start for them. My husband concurs with it too. As far as the glock, well, not so sure about that one. I have 2 shepherds that hopefully will be enough of a deterrent. My daughter takes one of them with her when she runs and people move away from her! Both go with me when I go places in the car. I think I would be more dangerous with one than without one. Not so young anymore...

I woke up this morning extremely upset. I understand that our legal system gives a lot of leeway to defendants so that we avoid convicting innocent people. However what this killer and her defense team are being allowed to do to Travis is reprehensible. I guess I mean really to Travis' family because my faith teaches me that Travis can no longer be hurt now.

I pray that knowing who their brother/loved one/friend is protects/comforts all those who love Travis as these lies are spewed about him.

I believe that this jury will see through this bs and that it will become an aggravating circumstance as they deliberate what penalty the killer should receive.

I hope that any defense attorney who uses this kind of scorched earth defense is haunted by the victims as they lay their head on their pillows at night. I think it is possible to offer a vigorous defense without using the worst lies to attack the victims.

Beautifully expressed. Thank you

I think she selected the petite gun because it felt more comfortable in her own hand. I think most people would choose a gun to use against a person knowing it could kill them.

Makes perfect sense to me.

I wanted a .357 but it was too big in my hands so I bought a .38 instead.

I was out in the AZ desert last year. Private property of course LOL I had a glock and a Sig in my hands. I just couldn't fire either. Shook like a leaf. My Sis and BIL got a chuckle. They can handle them no problem. Guess here at home I have to rely on Hubby, security system and the steel bat in the bedroom lol

I'm watching Nancy's weekly recap right now and she's talking about how Travis' friends wives were not comfortable with her as she was "hitting on" their husbands. I don't recall this....??? Who said this?

With the exception of Beth Karas, don't believe what the media tells you.
With all respect for NG trying to represent the victims, she is still media, loving the attention and sometimes it grates on your last nerve.

I wonder if ole Gus is still employed :great: Now that was a classic moment. I luv JM's response. The head shake and "That's not how it works" An absolute scream :floorlaugh:

Interrupting this thread to shout out a Happy Birthday to my sweet father who turns 82 today (hope this pic doesn't blow the margins). He's had more heartache in this life than most I know (lost his wife--my mother and his father the same year when he was 35 then of course we know what was coming w/ his first born). But he's cheerful and fun and funny and has never lost his joie de vivre. A true inspiration.

Since we're still on direct, what are some questions you'd like to hear Nurmi still ask her? Aka doors yet to open for Boy Juander to come thrashing through?

I want to hear her fairytale about the hair color, why she purchased it, what she did with it, if she dyed her hair- where when and why? ( knowing of course shell blame it on Travis- ugh- let the jury see that though).

Boy Juander - lol!

I'd like her to be questioned about why she left the camera behind in the washer and why she deleted certain pictures but not others.

I'd like her to be questioned about why she took the rope (which was never found at the crime scene) Travis allegedly had in the bedroom for the purpose of "tying her up" (as told to us in the defense's OS). Why did she take the rope, knife, and gun but leave the camera?

Why did she send Travis' grandmother flowers after she murdered him?
Why did she take the pictures of the "Travis Alexander's" shirt and booty shorts AFTER she murdered him?
Why did she attend his memorial service?
Why did she write glowing loving tributes to him on her Myspace, in his online obituary tribute guestbook, and in her own personal journal?

eta: **disclaimer: these questions are intellectual property of LotusPawprint and the JA defense team may not ask them without my written permission. They also may not engage in character assasination of the victim and should not ask any other perverse accusatory questions about the deceased without substantiated, verifiable proof. Thanks. **

I want my girls to carry something. Pepper spray is one. They work retail and get lots of closing shifts. Scarry world out there

I hope they never close by themselves. My brother was the last to leave where he worked that summer night of his murder. I have been adamant with my children that they never leave alone from work. I threatened them that I would sit in the parking lot and watch out for them! That worked. They always leave with someone.
