Yeah her poor little ole me act is getting old. And her little girl voice makes my ears bleed.

It was great having the tape played in court to hear her "real" voice (which was just as obnoxious, but in a different way). Quite the contrast and eerie I thought - how somebody can be such a chameleon.

Today was the first time I found out JA never said "ninjas"! I had taken that as gospel fact because I have seen it posted over and over and assumed it was a verbatim statement from JA.

So I get what you mean about spontaneous "facts", lol.

She has done this through the ENTIRE testimony. It is crazy. And makes me want to smack her across the face. Shut up already. Listening to the interviews with Detective Flores was insane. But her on the stand is just bizarre. Her attorneys really should be reading this forum and taking some notes.

If I was on the jury and Juan negated some of her lies with concrete facts, I'd be telling myself all of JA's testimony should be considered as lies, including whatever is coming up about the murder. I would not be cherry picking truths from her ramblings ...

NG is nothing if not consistent. You can always count on:

1. "Bombshell Tonight!"
2. "Unleash the lawyers!"
and
3. Getting significant fact very wrong and saying them repeatedly.

As a former lawyer, you'd think that stuff would matter to her.

Her caricature of herself is almost funny - almost. And she'd be tolerable if she didn't 'report' exaggerated to the point of being inaccurate so often.

JA reminds me so much of an ex roommate I had years and years ago when I was a young single mother and so was she. She was always a fatal attraction ready to happen. She would seriously date someone one time and the next thing you know she was leaving the house in th emiddle of the night to see what he was doing when she wasn't with him. I can't tell you how many of these 'boyfriends' would run in the other direction as soon as possible. A couple I knew about and would run into would tell me some crazy things she did. It taught me a good deal about what I never wanted to be like. She always has been the victim. Eventually, she met a guy, fell head over heels. He was in the area for a LE type of training. He went back home to CA. Next thing I know, her mom stops by to tell me that the girl took a plane to CA to find him, only to discover he was married. So she rented an apartment and got a JOB WHERE he had one. It was bizarrrrrreeee.

The reality is, JA thought the sex part would manipulate Travis enough to keep him exclusively hers. She taped that call to make sure of that. Whether it was to blackmail him or someone else, that tape is a testament to her stalking, craziness.

I think too, she is one of those people who is always jealous. Jealous over anything and everything.

And the adding detail to everything on the stand. I think there is a point where her lawyers should be mentioning some is enough. We have been around the corner and back to Grandma's house so many times for a yes/no question I am so confused on everything. Forget dates. It is amazing her ability to spin and confuse.

Well I think we can pretty much only conclude he's a 'total jerk' based on the testimony of someone who has lied prolifically from the time this crime hit the headlines.

I, for one, will take the word of dozens of Travis' friends, co-workers, and family over the account of a proven liar who faces the death penalty for his murder.

To those people, Travis' generosity knew few bounds. Whether it was offering a ride, a place to crash or buying groceries when people were struggling financially. To those people, Travis had the unique ability to make them believe they were capable of great things. To those people, Travis had a sense of humor so big he could have a room of strangers laughing in mere moments. To those people, he was loved and respected.

Jodi's own admissions - until 2010 - only reinforce what every one else who has spoken of him has claimed.

If believing the sentiments of many who knew him over the testimony of the woman who butchered him is also equivalent to placing him on a pedestal then I am guilty as charged. I simply believe, while not perfect, Travis was just a good, decent, caring guy trying to find out where he fit in this world - like most of us.

In his testimony, he said he "kissed her stomach;" Pants and shirts may have not come "off", but he definitely got hers "up" high enough (or open enough) to get up close and personal with her tum button.

That's completely doable. It's really easy to keep the arms covered and the belly exposed when there are buttons running down the front of your shirt.

If you're implying that you think they went further than Burns (sp?) testified to - in open Court - with his new wife sitting right there - I'm going to have to wholeheartedly agree with you!

I sure hope our Juan asks her all about this! Talk about remorseless, cold-hearted murderer who is very much "in the mood" less than a day after slaughtering Travis, her EX-boyfriend.

IMHO, TA did not have a sexual relationship until 30 years of age. I feel like it was almost teenage like in comparison. He didn't know HOW to handle that type of relationship. It felt good but the person he was doing it with was a total nutjob. I don't know that he could easily distinguish what he had going on with JA. at first.

I think TA was a normal guy who did not resist temptation with JA ... and I think JA was pushing for that. I resist the idea that TA was the aggresser. Once JA did push the boundaries, I do think TA was a willing partner in that.

A double life for sure for him for awhile. I imagine it weighed heavily on him in private especially around May 18th, when he wrote the blog.

He definitely did not deserve to die, that is for sure. IMHO, he got caught up in something that most people experience in their teens and he did not cope well because he did not really have the experience before. Sex or a person like JA

Especially for someone like TA, who by all accounts, had relationships but none like this.

I am an old lady now, but I have dated plenty of men. The reality is there was only a couple I would look back and say were clinging. Not crazy, but a little more serious in a little less time than others. I never had a 'stalker'. I don't know that I would even know anyone I could even turn to that I could get help or ways to cope with a stalker.

I just don't think there is anyway TA had any idea how to handle this situation when it started going bad. I don't even know if he had turned to someone that it would have kept him safe. JA testified she stayed friends with all her ex's. Yeah, I bet they kept her happy so she didn't go crazy train on them. Really, I can't imagine that DB doesn't have some crazy stories to tell.

I think she is pretty darned strong. Takes a lot of guts to stab someone.....slit their throat from ear to ear and shoot them in the head. She is no little waif. What one finds disrepectful others do not. Fantasies are just that......fantasies and he never carried them out. JA said he didnt. It was betweeen two consenting adults and frankly it isnt anyone else's business. The only reason their private moments have been brought out to be critized after the fact is this wench is on trial for heinously murdering this man and she is doing everything she can to make Travis look bad and she like the little angel. GAG me with a spoon.

I dont think she consented.........I think she was the aggressor with a man she knew had not had the sexual experiences she had and she so willingly showed him a world he had never known.

When did he let her back for sex? She moved and from what his friends have said he was glad. Who wouldnt be. He was not even into the sex talk. He was bored and falling asleep. Who was chatty Kathy? Ms. Arias. I think he tried to appease her trying to keep her at a distance.

Women who did date Travis have spoken out and they said he was nothing but a gentleman. A man or a woman can cross paths with a member of the opposite sex that can bring them down to their level. Travis had no clue how dangerous this sociopath truly is.

I see nothing showing me Travis was a jerk. I will never believe the words of a sickening pathological lying murderer who lies everytime her mouth opens. SHE is the only one saying he is a jerk because she stupidly thinks the jury will believe her concocted lies and they will not fall for such baloney imo.

I'll make an excuse for my speculations before I begin by saying that I'm new to posting but very happy to find such interesting and respectful discussions here -- thank you for existing!!

In thread 37 Quester asked if it might be the case that JA intended TA's murder to look like a suicide. This had never crossed my mind and it strikes me as a brilliant theory! The violence of the murder is horrendous but somehow doesn't seem to fit with her "personality" unless we allow for a rage response, which is entirely possible. But everything she does, even the madness of taking the stand and never shutting up!, seems to come from her need to control her image. She is happiest when she can present TA as wildly jealous of all the attention she gets from men. And when she can characterize another woman as jealous of her. She loves her picture of herself and TA only as he enhances that picture, not just between them but in the world.
If TA had died by one bullet to the right temple, and if there had been a note (her abilities as a forger seem quite good) offering up his obsessional love for a woman he should not love and the unbearable dilemma of that, she would have created quite a figure of romance for herself. Just punishing TA for not loving her would never be enough.

So if her original plan was to make TA's death look like a suicide, and she had forged a suicide note from TA, she probably would have burned it with the murder clothes/items.

Wonder if LE found any evidence of computer searches for suicide notes on JA's or TA's computers, attempts to forge a suicide note, faked emails suggesting TA being suicidal, etc.? Could a suicide note have been JA's purpose for the ~4am computer time at TA's home on the morning of his murder?
