I'm not sure whether she did or not. I think it's quite possible that the gun jammed and she had to go to plan b. That said, even if she did bring both the knife and gun, I don't think the State can prove, or even create a reasonable inference, that she brought the knife. I don't think LE saying that no knives were missing from the scene creates such an inference under the circumstances I mentioned above. The jury may disagree. But if I were on the jury, I wouldn't be assuming she brought the knife from home. jmo

eta: the felony murder charge also would stand on the gun having been brought. So still easier with a shot first theory also jmo

BBM I agree, unless they present more evidence about her carrying a knife around. Either way, her goose is cooked!:rocker:
O/T I wanted to test out my theory about my hubby having no clue what knives we have. Our knife block has 12 and a separate drawer has 6 larger chef style knives. These are not from a matching set, just random knives from our single days. I use these all the time, my hubby uses only one knife to cut anything lol. I took two out of the drawer and asked him which were missing. He said none were missing. We've been married 6 years and have had the same knives the whole time.

She said she cut the leg holes
You know...I have HUGE doubts about the whole "spiderman boys underwear bit" as I'm inclined to think that they actually were ladies undies made to look like boys' (alla Charlie's Angel's - Cameron Diaz) and that she is so strange that she just didn't get it BUT...BUT...BUT...Entertaining the idea that he actually bought boy's underwear...Is it so beyond belief that he might have thought that Cameron Diaz was actually in boy's underwear as well? Maybe he thought that they were cute and wanted to get her a pair and he just thought that they were regular boy's undies on her. And maybe he screwed up the size? THAT sounds much more plausible to me than WHAM, he's a pedophile who (based on the sex tape) obviously enjoyed women???

Just a thought.

That said, if she did go to plan B...That would negate any self defense claim right? Had to leave conflict to find knife.

Unless of course there happened to be a knife handy for sex games. :what:

She and her merry band of lying defenders are going to have a hard time, with the documented time frame, explaining how she managed to be under a life threatening attack and obtain not one but TWO deadly weapons immediately at her disposal, within seconds and carry out her own vicious attack.

I also do NOT believe it was Jodi's decision, against Travis' wishes to move back to Yreka. None of that fits with her behavior or the relationship. I think she ran out of money and he insisted she move back due to her "psycho behavior".

I agree. That alone, the fact that he did not allow her to camp out at his place, must have infuriated her beyond belief. I can't believe that she moved to Mesa AFTER they had split. It makes NO SENSE to me whatsoever. I can't figure out if she ever "lived" with him "officially". Has this ever come out because it sounds to me like she never did???

Is there any proof that she had these spiderman undies? Or did she just think she was Cameron Diaz?

Ah, so she didn't actually say she sent it to Abe - only that she composed it to him.

She said she sent it to Abe and forwarded it to Travis. It sounds like though... she wrote this email to Travis leading him to believe it had been sent to Abe by writing forward in the subject line. jmo

Absolutely. If she had used the gun first (premeditated, but not necessarily extremely cruel -- hence the State's stabbed first argument on dp qualification), and the gun failed and she went to the knife, no self defense...period. Pure cold, calculated and ridiculous violence. Regardless of whether that knife was handy.

I'm watching the day she testified this week where she's wearing a green shirt and explaining her own participation in the sex tape.

When talking about the sex part of it, she has that secret smile that Janine Driver talks about. How she's enjoying pulling something over through her lies. Or maybe she is smiling remembering the moment...whatever. That jury is sitting right there watching her SMILE.

Major creep factor.

Every time I watch her and her little smirks and smiles, I get the impression that she's more than happy to let everyone know SHE had sex with him and no one else ever did (or a very select few, at most, IMO). It makes HER feel special. Everyone adored Travis, but SHE got him.

I have no idea what to make of the whole boys' underwear scenario, so I'm not even gonna try. I was just answering a question about her explanation for it.

And it was such a vicious attack that she came out of it with maybe a few tiny cuts on her hands. No other defensive wounds. She's good!

It's a chain that serves "Asian fusion." Not like Benihana, for example.

Little Red Riding Hood

...
The tale makes the clearest contrast between the safe world of the village and the dangers of the forest, conventional antitheses that are essentially medieval, though no written versions are as old as that. Specifically, the tale parallels how an innocent victim can be taken in and controlled by a criminal mentality, therefore, facilitating further subjection of a crime or harm against a vulnerable victim through mischievous criminal intent by removing the victim from a familiar or "safe" public location - facilitating the crime in an effort to isolate the victim by drawing her to another location "away from the public eye" where the criminal entity has complete control over the victim.
...
Red Riding Hood has also been seen as a parable of sexual maturity.
...
A recent adaptation of Little Red Riding Hood has been seen in the ABC new hit series Once Upon a Time. In this version, Little Red Riding Hood (played by Meghan Ory) goes by 'Red' and she is no innocent little girl. Red is given a mature, fiery attitude but lives with her grandmother because she was told her parents were killed in a hunting accident. As the story elaborates, we find out Red is actually the wolf that threatens the forest and if she does not keep her magic, red cloak on she turns into the wolf on the night of a full moon. Later, Red finds her mother, who is in fact not dead, but part wolf as well, and is the leader of a group of other half-wolf people who have learned to embrace the wolf inside them instead of fear it. Her mother teaches Red to embrace the wolf as well, and Red learns to accept who she is instead of seeing herself as a monster.

Did JA initially plan the mayhem for when TA visited her at the end of May 2008 on the west coast?
When did TA cancel his plans to visit JA in Yreka and Oregon?
When did JA make plans to visit RyanB in Utah and go to PPL mtg?
How did JA get along with TA's grandmother?

Juan will clear that little detail up for the jury as well.

Still confuses me why if they were so insulting why she kept them.

And I still think the one is not Travis.:twocents:

I have an OT question, that Jodi made me think of....

When a woman with breast implants goes to prison, who pays for the care and upkeep of them? Implants only last about 8-10 years before they need to be replaced. If a woman goes to person for life, do authorities just say, "sorry - you have to keep that set in your body forever." Or do they allow the woman to have them removed when the time comes? And if so, I imagine the prisoner would have to pay for that surgery. But how? What if she can't?

That's my totally random Saturday night train of thought. Lol!

They last a lot longer than that! IMO

Just curious when she got them?

Not sure what the answer is to your question or what medical problems could ensue if nothing was done with them.

Interesting though!
