I posted a study last night showing that female abuse victims rarely kill their abuser. Approximately 1 in 4 which means 75% of women who kill their partners were not abused. (Choosing to extrapolate just the one study since its 4am here. ;))

Those who have been abused that do resort to murder usually have one very common base: years of psychological, sexual, and very often physical abuse usually living with their abuser. Battered person's syndrome just is not something someone develops over the course of a short relationship from 1000 miles away, imo.

So the defense needs to make it appear as typical, long-standing abuse, when in reality it is the strangest claim for a domestic violence defense I've seen yet. Mark my words (;)), the defense DV expert will testify to all the 'norms' of an abusive relationship, further feeding the defense's smoke and mirrors act.

Just until cross.

Thanks button just not enough!

Re: Travis' financial problems. I haven't heard anything in the trial regarding this, just posters here. The only thing I could surmise (if it was true) would be that his PPL income would be variable since it's based solely on his commissions and those of his underlings (or whatever they're called). So some months we can presume it would be higher than others. I did read somewhere that he had refinanced his home and (I think) took a lot of cash out (I don't have a link), but that was pretty much the norm back then since it was so easy.

Lisa definitely said that TA was having financial problems, but no one questioned her about it.

It's just Jodi, no one else is involved LINDA

Can't believe Jodi is a cultist? Why Not? Is it her demure, down home, earthy image, looks, how's she's dressed at trial?

She had on her MySpace page alot of fascinations, comments about witchcraft as told by Jacob Mefford, Travis's friend, to Nancy Grace live on TV...and the spooky photos of her on MySpace..

Say it ain't so? Number 11 is an important number to the witches, she stabbed Travis 29 times or 2+9 = 11.....Coincidence?

Read this:

The Illuminati (13 Ruling Crime Families) is a ritualistic organization that has been around since the Christian crusades. It has a special way of looking at numbers that we should all know about and uses the numbers for ritualistic witchcraft.

The number 11 is the number of destruction and judgment and the death of man. Any event or thing assigned with the number 11 aids in the raising of the anti-Christ.

why not just stab him 11 times and call it a day?

The whole thing ( ridiculous appeals) is such a perversion of the justice system. IMO

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Perversion is a perfect word for it.

If you could only have seen the courtroom during this last appeal (a mini trial in and of itself..that we had to testify in...and as another odd involvement, the famous bluegrass singer Allison Krauss' father also testified who is one of my Dad's best friends and translated German at my sister's funeral--and also happens to be a mental health professional so had a dual role in giving his opinion on these killer's "mental retardation").

Anyway, the courtroom was PACKED on the side of the killers (who were not present until AFTER the biased Judge, the only finder of fact and openly against the DP, found one of them "mentally retarded" thus off Death Row--the other one has been appealing her decision now for a few years). Our side of the courtroom often just had me and my Dad sitting in it. The roles definitely flip as to who the victim is. My sister's name was almost never mentioned in this appeal. The entire focus was on these poor "mentally retarded" premeditated murderers. Who plotted for months the cold blooded murder of my sister then spent two weeks in a sophisticated cover up, while living in her apt., pawning her jewelry and driving her car.

"Jodi worships jodi....well said!!! :thanks:
I want to know who the murdering cultists are that carefully plan their murders by dates. I want names if these so called satanists. They write books on the best days to kill people? Really?

Still not buying it. Any of it.
I know Jodi acted alone.

I'm disputing Jodi ascribing to any belief system. Cults, satanists, Mormonism, Wicca. None matter to jodi. Jodi worships Jodi.

I'd also bet Jodi's favorite number isn't 11, it's 69

I found it interesting she wrote that one check for $699.

Hey Xavier, there's quite a few things connected to this crime that can be associated with Illuminati. I have studied this for years and not everyone knows or understands what Illuminati is all about. I won't go into details but I am a believer.

Katie, words can not express the sick feeling I have deep within my heart every time I read about your sisters murder. It's a travesty. I know life isn't fair... But FGS why can't the justice system especially after a jury verdict. It's heartbreaking.

I'm not wiccan but I've studied it extensively (along with quite a few other spiritualities trying to find my own path) I cannot stress strongly enough that if Jodi were actually wiccan - true in practice and belief - she simply could not have committed this crime.

It defies the very essence, the deepest held belief, of wiccans themselves. 'An ye harm none...'

As for the occult or clandestine knowledge (had to borrow Jodi's fave word) - that too is composed of many things - including astrology, numerology, reading tea leaves, and studying tarot spreads. None of which are even remotely inherently evil or violent. Anyone who claims otherwise really is transposing what they want on a belief system they're unfamiliar with.

No offense meant to anyone though - just things I've studied. (And I've got more than one deck of tarot cards, myself. :blushing:)

If Jodi ascribed a certain pattern or numbers or anything else to her crime I feel very confident in stating those were ALL Jodi and nothing to do with wicca or the occult proper.

Personally I think its very sad that such a horrific, brutal crime would be in any way associated with wicca but that's jmo.

Um....just no. That's just too way out there for this crime. Jodi changed beliefs like most people change socks. She wasn't into anything "dark."

Thank you for saying it better and nicer than I would have....you helped lower my blood pressure...:moo:

Unbelievable. Sorry for your family.

Thank you. This is just a small fraction of what we've been through dealing with all of the "rights" lended to these murderers.

Their attorneys specifically plotted to send a representative to my home, to my doorstep, just 2 weeks before Christmas to try and solicit my help with the mental retardation claim, thinking I might be more vulnerable, thus manipulatable, right before Christmas, the anniversary of Cindy's death.

I'm not kidding.

I kicked this doe eyed "investigator" out of my house once I realized what she was up to (it's illegal for them to approach a victim but when I confronted her on that she knew the exact loophole she'd slipped through ). I made one phone call (I was shaking for hours after this encounter and I'm generally a pretty tough person in these things ) to our prosecutor who put me in touch with a victim's rights attorney who has represented me free of charge ever since. And she went to the Federal level and got that loophole closed so no more victims will be abused by those championing for murderers like I was.

What happened to me could have happened to a much more fragile person. Like a mother of a murdered child or something like that. On the anniversary of the murder. On purpose.

These people working for appeals for murderers to try and abolish the death penalty one heinous murderer at a time have lost all focus in my opinion. All focus of basic human decency. And they think they are on the "right" side.

Not to get too political here but it reminds me of those who shoot abortion doctors in the name of "preservation of life".

So, let's forego all the red herrings.
Now what do we have?

1. Travis was killed
2. Jodi was there
3. Jodi lied to authorities

Add whatever else tells the facts

4. Jodi confessed to the murder.

Michael Apelt, who's crimes (first degree felony murder and conspiracy to commit murder in 1988) should be coming up soon. Except his team of highly qualified attorneys are still appealing the fact that he was ruled NOT mentally retarded after a 7 year long appeal. And I'm sure once that appeal is "finalized" (how many times can you rule he's not mentally retarded?) he will return to claiming he didn't even commit the murder. Even though he's already admitted it now, but claimed he was mentally retarded when he did it. Since that appeal wasn't successful, I'm sure they will switch gears to claim something else has been "unfair" to him during these two decades he's been awaiting his sentence to be carried out. This is the insanity of the appeals process.

I'm so very sorry for the hell you and your family have been through.

I hope his date with the death chamber comes up soon.

That is what I am afraid of, that the jury has forgotten about the brutality and is just trying to get through the day. LWOP is better than nothing but she will have some type of life.

-----------
Hi, I have to agree with you but I could never forget how brutal she was to Travis. You'd need hatred in your heart. I remember when my son lay paralizyed
all he could move were his eyes.I was home washing dishes. I have an old set of EKCO stainless steel pots from the 50's.They are made like iron. I flipped out crying, I beat that pot on my kitchen sink metal strip until both were bent! They heard me scream next door. I was mad..I think jodi was angry. But she didnt use a pot on her sink. I still use the pan.:pullhair:

BRIT--- If you think about Jodi did what she pleased, she twists anything to her liking

And no one's saying she's a Wiccan, whatever cult that is...Jodi's a twisted witch, let's leave it at that..LOL
