I posted a study last night showing that female abuse victims rarely kill their abuser. Approximately 1 in 4 which means 75% of women who kill their partners were not abused. (Choosing to extrapolate just the one study since its 4am here.)
Those who have been abused that do resort to murder usually have one very common base: years of psychological, sexual, and very often physical abuse usually living with their abuser. Battered person's syndrome just is not something someone develops over the course of a short relationship from 1000 miles away, imo.
So the defense needs to make it appear as typical, long-standing abuse, when in reality it is the strangest claim for a domestic violence defense I've seen yet. Mark my words (), the defense DV expert will testify to all the 'norms' of an abusive relationship, further feeding the defense's smoke and mirrors act.
Just until cross.
Thanks button just not enough!
