I haven't read back today so this may have been asked and answered but was the court reporter accused of not doing her job correctly, being related to someone connected to the trial, and having an interest in the outcome of the trial? This seems desperate to me but it may be normal considering who's on trial.

Court reporter issue is the very last page (page 5).

No, it's standard for a court reporter to sign such a document stating it is a true and accurate transcription done to the best of their ability. They also sometimes include something stating they are not related to any party and do not have a vested interest in the outcome of a proceeding. I used to do transcription and always signed such a document.

Karmady,
Just cuz we can't see it doesn't mean it not there. I really hate to imagine what's going on under that hair and glasses.
Scary stuff I think. lol

I read the OP as saying it was observable that she was both cut off and bothered by it. I didn't see either. And she wasn't covering her face with her hair at that point, either. That said, I've seen her actually smirk and stifle laughter. There are plenty of examples of that. I just don't see it at every turn and definitely didn't see it there.

Katie and PASA can speak to this better than I, I had the wrong angle to tell.

Not me. :) Where I was in the courtroom I couldn't see her. I could see some of the jury while they were seated, and all of them as they left the court room. I never saw them look at ja while they were leaving.

Sorry that I'm not much help.

No blame whatsoever! My response wasn't intended to be personal commentary on the poster or you. Just my reaction. I don't see the point of comparing degrees of evil based on looks, ever. And it would take a crime far worse than this one to allow a comparison, in my mind at least, to someone who can personally take the lives of their own children -- mental illness or not v. someone who takes the life of their partner in a twisted romantic relationship. jmo

I don't remember anyone comparing the two of them regarding their crimes before you did. I could be wrong. I don't assume in the slightest bit that if two people look alike that their crimes are in any way connected.

I feel that what AY did was beyond horrific, but I also believe that she was/is mentally ill. Jodi...I think that she is just plain evil.

JMO

eta: I realize you said you weren't comparing the two. But bringing up a similarity in looks between two killers kind of assumes that the looks are somehow related to the crime. Also jmo. I'm seriously not wanting to argue about it. Just explaining what prompted my post :)

I'm not a "shrink", but I understand Jodi's "2" thing and have even requested a different color rental car. I chose a new vacuum cleaner because I could get the same thing online with a freebie 2nd one. Won't just buy one can of food either. Noticed it the other day when buying some 'Ranch Style Beans'. Kind of funny that I was talking to my sister recently about this, too.

Now, don't get me wrong. Not making excuses for Jodi's crime, just trying to shed personal light on the "2" thing.

Many people buy two of an item, especially if it is a matter of pricing (i.e. 2/$5.00). Declining a red car is also understandable, however not necessarily for the reason she gave, and due to the fact she went to AZ and killed Travis.

I like Dr. Ablow. Would rather watch him any day than Dr. Drew. I haven't heard anything that Ablow has said about her.

Thank you! Wish JVM or Nancy Grace would have him on to comment on the trial and share his thoughts/opinion on Jodi Arias

It's the very very last bit of the day. I was in there and didn't catch this as I just did from Ryan Smith's show.

I'm sure there's a youtube, would love for you to see it. I rewound and watched it again. It's the first time I've actually witnessed her in the midst of getting caught and trying to cat and mouse it. Usually she's way more seamless with her lying.

Going to watch now.

Okay I have a question: Whose the hornier sociopath Jodi or Casey....why?

  • #629
Uh oh, I better stop the Drew Snark before TOK ( Dr. Drew's Juror) arrives.

LOL...you'll see, she's very open minded.

I just hope she finds her way here tonite!

I am really excited to hear what the jurors come up with for questions.

Okay I have a question: Whose the hornier person Jodi or Casey....why?

I've blocked Casey Anthony from my mind so I can only speak to Jodi which is basically not answering your question at all (sorry).

I don't think Jodi Arias is at all "horny". I think she uses sex as a manipulative tool and weapon. She could be faking ALL her orgasms as far as I see her...as long as she feels in control...that she's getting what she wants: power. Adrenaline. Feeling something through her manipulation.

"Can you talk right now?" = You must talk to to me immediately. He says he can't. Oooh...Can I tell you, that is really bad. He will pay! Just this little exchange makes me cringe knowing what she will do for revenge! He asks if she used his phone without asking him (they do this chit all the time - whatever you own is theirs - there are NO BOUNDRIES WHATSOEOVER and she COMPLETELY sluffs it off. Her next message, "where's my money"? Not literally but unbelievably, isn't that what she's saying? And the good soul at the other end of the text or call is BAFFLED. So much so, that he thinks, I've misunderstood something!

Yep.

On and on and on. Day after day of this chit. And you just CAN'T pin it down! With exciting sex in between? Oh my! Poor Travis!

I'm sure they will coach and coach her over the weekend and she will still think she knows best.

I hope so anyway! Let her keep up this wonderfully guilty demeanor. :please:

Unless...just maybe, they are thinking, you are an adult, answer the man's questions, we can't tell you what to say.

They might have told her she did great...

Just jumping off here, Andrea Yates and Jodi are polar opposites. Andrea Yates has a clear mental health history and a big history of falling through the cracks of the mental health system and a husband who did not get how mentally ill she was. Post-partum psychosis is sadly real, though very rare. She is truly very seriously mentally ill and with medications she is somewhat able to be a functioning person. As someone recovered from PPD I get very touchy when people don't get it about her case and how she is different from, say Susan Smith.

Jodi has stuff that meds can't begin to touch. She is not insane...which is the scariest type. She KNOWS what right and wrong are and she ENJOYED doing the wrong and does not think what she did was wrong and has zero remorse. She is definitely, as quoted, diabolical and damn scary. I'll sit in a room any day with Andrea Yates. I get her. I don't get the evil that exists in Jodi...who could slit your throat and then go fix herself a cup of tea calmly as if nothing happened.

Well, I don't think I would sit in a room with Andrea, but I think I know what you are saying.

What I don't understand is how anyone can say JA is not mentally ill or crazy. Are we making a distinction between mentally ill and being possesed with the devil. Is there a distinction. I personally think there is. jmo

Going to watch now.

Watch her for once look nervous , stalling and slightly stammering. I hope this is just the beginning of this kind of destabilization with this cross.

He cut her off big time. Asked the judge to adjourn and turned his back to her to look at his notes! ROLF.

She is steaming.

She might get off if we have a bunch of dumb watts like the pinellas 12 but the cut off yesterday was a worthy moment!

What's your analysis? :seeya:

:waitasec: Noticed it recently because of watching Jodi. Made me more aware of myself doing it. Posted about this before. She's extremely OCD. Watch her approach the witness box; every move she makes is the same as every other time she approaches, the way she stands waiting for the jury, the way she adjusts herself, pours the water making sure the glass and pitcher are in the exact same spot. Look at her bangs; always in the exact same order of seeming disarray.

Like I said, I'm not a professional to analyze this.

-Drew is sort of gullible and credulous in a way that doesn't make sense for someone who works with addicts and is covering criminal trials.

Drew once said he knows people lie to him all the time and that he takes people at face value.

But that IS very interesting! I may have another question now for my girl Janine Driver! Who said she is looking at her schedule to maybe come here in the next two weeks. I already put my bid in to steal her away to our rooftop happy hour. ;) A dream!
