LOL, maybe showing their total disdain for this witness?

Maybe they were seen rolling their eyes like all of us have been doing today.:floorlaugh:

I bet even Nurmi is glad this part is over, kind of hard to keep a straight face, now he can sit back & watch the evisceration, just has to come up w/ closing, but I don't think anything could save her now...

He has been trying very hard to do his job considering what or rather who he has to work with. At this point he can only hope to save her from the death penalty. I think Guilty is a given.

The one thing I walk away from direct with is this: Nurmi has apparently done little research on effective questioning of psychopathic defendants and tailoring questions specifically to their disorder. Which is brilliant for our Juanderful prosecutor. ;)

There were many times he was forced to compose himself and 'cover' her testimony; lead her to answers that would be consistent for her defense; allowed her to unwittingly undermine her defense; allowed far too much lenience in narrative, etc. Too many for me to believe he's done anything in way of psychological preparation. JMO

What a great observation on your part! You are exactly right. One comment that struck me was how she was going to kill herself with the razor but cut herself (small cut) and it hurt too bad. Who says that when they are contemplating suicide for butchering a person 29 times with a knife and slitting his throat almost to decapitation? She just could not empathize and, therefore, said many things IMO that were just not helpful (and sometimes harmful) to her own cause. Very interesting to me psychologically!

I can't recall exactly what Darryl testified to regarding JA's creepy photo taking... I know he said she took pictures of him sleeping. Didn't he also say she took pictures of him in the shower (unbeknownst to him)?

LOL, that is so funny. I've been suppose to have come in to order contact lens and glasses following an eye exam I had on a Friday (doncha know?) Haven't yet.

You can go in Friday. Tell them you had jury duty all week. :-)

It's hilarious she went out into a blackout. She's pretty much ruined any credibility she had .. not that she had much, but now she's got zero. It is a complete joke. No JVM one of the jurors will NOT go into denial LOL...... Give me a break - I'm turning off HLN and find something intelligent to listen to.

How many times did she purposely forget things at Travis's? Just an excuse for her to keep coming back without being invited! Just show up unannounced!

She never gave her key back either.

if i were on that jury i would want jm to get answers. i would think that the jury is scratching their heads tonight. she did not give them any information about the killing that would make her seem in danger. she claims she can not remember details about killing him. i think the jury will be leaning on jm to get answers. jmo

The direct questioning sure ended flat.

I know Nurmi isnt through but he sure made no headway in his direct. In fact all he did along with Arias is put her closer to death row.

Juan will slam the DR cell door shut in the next few days.

IMO

ALL of these days leading up to today's testimony mean jack squat! What a waste of time, and I think the jury will think that. In fact I have forgotten all the other BS she rambled about. TODAY is what we are here about. That it took 7 business days to get here, is insulting!

Oh I hope your right. How is the jury reacting to all the crap JA is stating?

Hi. From Katie to another! Do you think possibly the defense has asked for a plea deal again? Why would flores. Want the family to meet with them.?
And also I am sorry about the loss of your sister! I can see that you have used your bad experience to advocate justice for true victims.

He lunged at her... Yet he was lower than her when shot and he head was atleast two feet away from the muzzle.
I'm still trying to figure out how he lunged at her :waitasec: ... he was dripping wet and on a tile floor ... doesn't seem like he would have been able to get enough traction to lunge at her without slipping and falling down before he could reach her.

Meant to say!
From one Katie to another!

Yes.

I think that is how this all started when Travis finally realized his stalker had returned and was taking private photos of him.

He was never aggressive with her. He was trying to save his life the best he could and wasnt successful.:(

lol....remember, "Leroy!! You give me those shoes!!"....lesson here. Using a wooden spoon to beat a daughter or not makes NO difference. Rhoda and Jodi are 2 perfect examples. And Casey A. All bad, horrible seeds! :furious:

I love that movie! Poor Leroy!
"I know how you killed that little boy, you hit him with them shoes, didn't you?"
then, "Mother, may I get a Popsicle?", followed by Leroy screaming...

Such a creepy little girl - she could really "comport' an "esoteric" story.

Did JA actually say that she was embarassed to tell Flores the truth because he is a Morman? Or did I hear that wrong?

As much as I look forward to the cross examination, the only power that she has left is her refusal to tell the TRUTH-she wants to keep it to herself, withhold it from Travis' family, in her own mind, she's still in control...her own private horror movie...

In anticipation of a PTSD expert being called by the defense to defend dear JA, I'm compelled to say this- Of all the people I've worked with who experienced blackouts or memory loss to traumatic events, it has been traumatic events that happened to them that the mind protects them from, not trauma they inflicted on others. It's also been my experience that with PTSD, people can't get the trauma they've witnessed, caused or experienced out of their minds causing them to relive the trauma daily. They wish it could be blacked out so they can experience a moments peace.
Had to get that off my mind before I blow a gasket over this defense.

Thank you!!!!

I was wondering if it ever came out exactly why TA called JA a sociopath and that she was the worst thing that has ever happened to him? Was this from the email hacking or something else? thx.

Don't forget the incriminating ROPES that she threw in the dumpster! Can lies get any more obvious?

Are you as surprised as me that they are giving the rope such an elevated status - almost up there with the gun and knife.
She admits herself she could get out of the "noose" any time she wanted.
Why are they making a big deal of it?
