does anyone know if Juan was done with the computer guy? Or was the defense still doing their direct?

(I think the last we heard from was Juan but I think it was voir dire of the witness as to.. well.. his subject area/area of expertise on the pictures)

Last time on State vs. Jodi Arias...

IIRC the defense were trying to have the pictures admitted into evidence over the prosecution's objection that they couldn't be validated. Sidebar then recess.

Hmmm, I have a similar camera and I wouldn't offer it to someone with wet hands to hold. I just don't feel he would have accepted the camera if she tried to hand it to him. Seems more like she turned it around (it has a nice LED display on the back) and shown him. She said the shower door was open b/c the water pressure was low (yeah right, even with low water pressure, who wants water splashing out of the shower?).

I don't know...that part of her story made me think things were going along nicely, otherwise why show the pix to him? Then again, getting the gas cans from Darryl pretty much confirmed the premeditated plan for me. But showing him the pix doesn't synch in my mind.

I think she started taking his pictures to disarm his suspicions about what she was about to do. Taking his pictures allowed her to get in real close to him without raising any alarms from him.

I might be able to believe Jodi recorded phone sex for less than nefarious intent were it not for the content. This just coincidentally records, presumably, in Travis' voice how she sounds like a 12 year old having her first orgasm.

With knowing what we know about those letters now it's just too big a leap to be a coincidence in my opinion. I believe Jodi had stealthily been compiling data on Travis for awhile - maybe for blackmail, but maybe just for power and control.

And I know on NG's show on Friday, she said something along the lines of "we know what's on those tapes". Have people heard them (media, someone outside of the courtroom, etc)? Is this 12yo girl thing confirmed?

At first I thought NG just meant we "know" because we know they contain phone sex. But now I'm wondering if there are people who do know specifically what is said on them.

Heck yes, great idea! Just to reiterate, Day 1 of the trial (January 2, 2013): the only media available is audio only and furthermore, it is missing 15 or more minutes of the State/Prosecution Opening Statement. It would be wonderful if one of the medial outlets would upload it to their website. I have never seen In Session make available raw video, but maybe they would? Or perhaps your friend Michael Kiefer (Courts and legal writer for The Arizona Republic) could get it made available on azcentral.com? Thanks!!

I think it's because the defense descrribbed what's on the tape in their opening statement

I just want to send love and prayers your way today after everything you went through over the long weekend here. I watched it unfold but didn't say much. I hope things are in better perspective for you. You are a good person with a beautiful heart who cares a great deal for family victims- keep up the good fight... people need what you have to give.

They are talking about Travis family having to hear his voice on the recording today. I'm remembering my answering machine tapes being played while I was on the stand in my sister's trial and having to hear her voice in there and one with her saying "Katie Katie Katie Katie..." Over and over super fast. Seeing my actual name is Kathy and no one knew she called me Katie (katiecoolady was her nickname for me) it got transcribed "kitty kitty kitty kitty" and I had to clarify that on the stand. Weird. But just her voice in there.....sigh.....

IMO that comment about sounding like a 12 year old girl is a backhanded insult. I wonder if Travis was 'telling' Jodi he knew she was all an act even her portrayal of her climaxing. Jodi is a lousy actress with her fake Shirley Temple voice and sweet demeanor.
