Just flip the pic and license will read perfectly. I could not think of a way to draw more attention to her vehicle NOW had she switched plates, that would make sense but flipping one upside down is stupid with or without tolls, cameras etc.

Agreed.

It was a stupid thing to do. But she also tried reporting (what I believe is the gun used in the murder) stolen 4 days before killing him. Washing towels and clothes that were bloody. And washing a camera that had time stamped pictures with her and Travis having sex and pictures of him bleeding after the attack. And then dyed her blonde hair dark days after the murder.

She was no rocket scientist, thankfully.

She was also a good witness, IMO. Well spoken. Seemed a tad nervous, but I think that adds a genuineness, though. Very pretty, too, lol.

Other Mormon girls: agree! The double standard/hypocracy is a significant part of the defense's argument. He appeared one way to the Mormon people, a different way to others (at least Jodi).

We don't know yet whether he hit her. We haven't heard any evidence yet. We have only heard his friends say he's a great guy. The defense may have something to present which shows prior violence.

I can agree with that. I am actually open to hearing the whole story but it seems
like most people just wanna see her hang.

That being said, I would think that the opening statement would include any of that evidence but you never know

Then bring that evidence and at the appropriate time. Don't bring evidence that Travis was a sexual deviant and a player. That has no bearing on this case. Trying to insinuate that Travis deserved this isn't appropriate.

There is more latitude given during the penalty phase but during the states case in chief is not the appropriate venue to slaughter this man again via his reputation.

I was on the phone with my husband a bit ago and mentioned the trial. I wasn't sure if I had told him about this case or not but I was watching NG last night and he must have noticed because he said, "I don't get why they are calling her a 'bombshell'." :floorlaugh: I said I don't either.

Ryan Burns (RB) - back on stand . . . Defense Atty questioning

Business briefing on 6/5 and training on 6/4. . . . JA was to arrive in SLC around 6/4 - the business briefing/meeting was that day. She was leaving LA @ 9pm - if she drove straight through 12 hrs drive - if she slept it would take longer to get to SLC.

Before she arrived on 6/5 . . . he talked to JA on Tues 6/3 around 9pm - she had visited the family in Southern Calif . . . . doesn't remember which city in Calif. . . . . he thinks yes she said Southern Calif. . . .she didn't mention she would be late except to take a nap - she advised RB she would be there on 6/4.

She was 12 hrs away .. . he was under impression she would be there 12 hrs if not later. She arrived on 6/5 around 10 or 11 am.

Exhibits #278 and #279, #280, 281, 282 - don't read them out loud. - recognize them?

Just thought of something .... Perhaps the water in the hallway wasn't an attempt to clean the scene, maybe it was to create a slip & slide effect to easily move him back to the bathroom?

It never ceases to amaze me how low attorneys will go assassinate the character of a victim.

And yeah, so what if he was a flirt??? They are going on and on about it, picking it apart. What in the HECK does that have to do with anything?? That excuses murder?

January 9, afternoon testimony
Burns back on the stand. Defence questioning him again.
Defence asking RB about his friends and JA's friends running in the same circles.
Defence about TA: "To your knowledge, did he have the reputation of being a flirt?" RB: "yeah".
--Business meetings in Utah in 2008 were on Wednesdays and Thursdays. The business briefing was on June 5th and the training was on June 4th. JA was supposed to arrive sometime on June 4th. RB was expect JA to arrive late on June 4th as it was a 12 hour drive. JA was to call RB if she got tired. They spoke June 3rd around 10:00 p.m. JA told RB she had already visited the family she was planning on visiting. She told RB she was in southern California. JA never stated she would be late or wouldn't be there until the Thursday. Only stated she would be there on June 4th and would stop to take a nap if necessary. RB and JA were twelve hours apart.
--Defence is going over RB's testimony about what time JA arrived. JA arrived on June 5th around 10 or 11 a.m. Multiple exhibits passed to RB. They are text messages that JA and RB sent back and forth. Mostly text messages from RB to JA.

Has it come out that this was witnessed by anyone? My point is he can say anything. She says he didn't lock his home. He says she crawled through the dog door. So without someone confirming either thing, stalking

IIRR and its awhile since I read all this, but friends of his who previously had let Jodi stay with Travis at their house (prior to her move to Arizona) said to him that they no longer wanted her staying in their house. I can't remember the nitty gritty of why, but it was down to her behaviour, her inappropriateness (can't remember exactly how she was inappropriate? - will have to read through from several years of posts) but they were concerned about her behaviour and thought that she was listening in to private conversations of theirs with Travis etc. I know that there were examples of stalkerish behaviour given, but it may take me some time to find out exactly what. I think this couple were also interviewed in that TV crime show thing she did, I can't recall the name of that either. Perhaps the prosecution will call them. I have seen and read posts of TA's friends giving examples of her behaviour, but as I said it was at the beginning of the case and on another website. When I get chance though I will look, but it may take a day or two to review several hundreds of pages of posts. Sorry I can't help you more than that at the moment, but if I can find something I will let you know.
