Right, because if it's not on video, who else could make the case for self-defense? Someone has to say it, and since there were no witnesses, it comes down to her.

Now wondering if it's on video... Does anyone know if she told the police the self-defense story or just her attorney(s)?

OTOH, if she testifies, what a mess it will be. She's a trainwreck.

I truly wish defendents didn't have the constitutional right to not take the stand. I want to see Martinez shred her. I wish I could have seen testimony from CA, OJ, Peterson 1 and 2. If you are claiming self defense especially I want to hear the story from the person.

I wonder if she had been out on bond if she would have hurt a family member to try and make her intruder story more believable ??
Since she claims lied as the intruders claimed would harm her family HUM

On Tuesday, Arias' younger sister, Angela Arias, said her sister's statements during the "48 Hours" interview were lies, and that Alexander's death was an act of self-defense on her sister's part during an incidence of domestic violence.

"She was not under oath when she spoke on TV and yes, she lied," Angela Arias wrote on Facebook after The Huffington Post sent her a request for comment. "But, it was because she was so in love with that man she did not want people to know what a monster he really was. She wanted everyone to believe that he was as amazing as they thought he was."

Arias' third story is detailed in recent court documents as part of a request she made to admit electronic copies of letters allegedly written by Alexander between November 27, 2006, and May 27, 2008.

"Defendant had previously attributed the crime to intruders. She now argues that all of the letters must be admitted to support her domestic violence defense," prosecutors wrote in a motion to preclude the letters. "Defendant argues that the letters are relevant to her claim of self-defense and that she was a victim of previous 'sexual and physical abuse' by Mr. Alexander."

Arias, according to prosecutors, is claiming Alexander "became angry when she dropped his camera" and she was forced to kill him in self-defense. Angela Arias made reference to this defense in a Facebook post Tuesday.

this pisses me off so much. she just never quits.

there is massive communication between her and travis, but no 'letters' as far as i know. emails, texts, voicemails, etc, yes, but no letters. so she dreams up THIS scheme and forges letters from travis which depict him as an abuser and a pedophile. all this in her effort to get away with cold-blooded, brutal murder.

i just cannot fathom the way her mind works---but then, i'm glad i can't. it reassures me i'm normal.

Hey Guys

Just wanted to give my daily thanks to each and everyone of you for your posts, pics and vids. Didn't log on last night as it gives me something to do at work the following day - catching up with everything lol.

Have not watched yesterday interviews yet, and it sounds to me like you all did an amazing job to sit through it :)

Could not thank any individual posts today as my screen was playing up.

Will be interested to catch up tomorrow. Have a good day / night.

Thanks again.

No need to shred. All anyone has to do is be quiet and let her tell another new improved version on the stand! She's a real jabber jaws!

Unless she has some sort of Karla Faye Tucker conversion, she is never going to tell the truth. She knows exactly what happened and by not telling the truth in her mind it gives her that last bit of control. That makes me so angry. :furious:

part 2 continues to be interesting upon rewatching:

detective: it didn't seem to be a robbery

Jodi Arias: yeah I kind of wondered if they took stuff to make it look like a robbery

kinda sounds like what happened with grandpa's gun, eh?

If her sister believes that I have some oceanfront property here in AZ I could easily sell her!

After watching that interview yesterday, I am starting to doubt she has the capacity to tell the truth. I think she is so very mentally disturbed, be it DID or some other dx, that she compartmentalizes, dissociates, represses, rationalizes, splits or something. What is it called when you live your life half in reality - delusional?

Her whole ability to so easily accept that TA is seeing other people, having the phone conversation with him where they have phone sex and then they continue talking about him taking Mimi to Cancun (we will hear this convo I believe) is bizarre. It shows how she detaches. Who could be in a relationship with someone, have phone sex with him and then chat casually about his pursuit of someone who is "marriage material"? She puts herself in very degrading situations but doesn't seem to "get it."

I'm not saying she's insane in the legal sense, but that girl is whack.

seems that (just saw the very end of yesterday) that court today will pick up with where the video left off (re: she is explaining to the detective why she didn't want to go and get help for Travis...because she was afraid her family would be hurt)
