hello all, i have been lurking on this site for a long time following different trials. i had to comment on this case. i live in utah that drive from az to stl is open road with many many hours to think. i wonder how she replayed the chain of events in her mind. then she arrives in stl like nothing happened.

also does anyone know why it took so long for this case to come to trial?

That would be expecting to her to behave like a rational adult which she isn't. It sounds like you're implying he lead her on. It didn't matter what he told her, she was obsessed with him and mentally unstable. She knew he was seeing someone else, how much clearer can it get that he doesn't want to be your boyfriend?

NO NO NO not saying he lead her on at all. I have a feeling he probaly told her she was just fun and a good time at the time. Expecially since friends have said he was pretty blunt with the break up. I think this last visit he believed he made himself clear and she was there just for a good time while passing through town.

Agree with you. Only thing is, I can tell that not being invited to join him for that all-expense-paid trip to Cancun was her trigger. I say it was this trip, not simply that he was seeing someone else because:

1. When things were beautiful between them, they traveled together a good deal. They were checking off destinations listed in the book "1,000 Places To See Before You Die." (Maybe they once discussed going together to Mexico?)

2. In her "48 Hours" interview, I closely watched Jodi's body language. She was cool as a cucumber the ENTIRE interview -- except toward the end, when TA's Cancun trip was brought up. This was the ONLY topic where Jodi acted slightly agitated.

3. Jodi told "48 Hours" she'd known about the trip for about a year, but never brought it up to him... So she goes and kills him the very day before he's supposed to leave for Cancun? The timing of this speaks volumes.

So IMO, Cancun seemed more the straw that broke the camel's back. Maybe Travis reneged on a "promise" about that trip, and she went to give him one last chance to make good. When she finally "confronted him like an adult" about her deep longing to still go on that trip as discussed, he didn't relent.

God only knows what he told her about the trip, or about the fact that she still expect to go (like an unrealistic fool). But whatever it was, it was the wrong answer in Jodi's mind.

I believe the girl that was to go to Cancun with Travis and couldn't reach him and started the whole search for Travis....stated that they were to leave for Cancun the day after he was found, not the day after he was killed.

The only 'Margaritaville' I know of is in Key West and run by the artist, Jimmy Boffett, who sang the song by the same title. Interesting about that song. Listen to it. First he sings about people thinking some woman's to blame but he doesn't think it's anyone's fault, then he suggests he11 it could be his fault and finally the last stanza:

Some people claim that there's a woman to blame
But I know it's my own damn fault
Yes and some people claim that there's a woman to blame
And I know it's my own damn fault

Maybe that was Jodi Arias's anthem to the world. It wasn't her fault. He got what he deserved.

We have a Margaritaville here in Arizona. It's in Glendale by the Cardinals stadium. About 15 minutes from my house.

STUPID questions I know...

#1- Is this the crouching picture?
With water running and his face looks somewhat startled.

I cannot tell if he is crouching
standing, or on his tippy toes
Was it stated in court that he was crouching?
or is there another picture we have not seen for obvious reasons.
I am not asking for anyone to look up a link!
Just throwing around some ideas in my head.

#2- How many freakin hours was this <unusual person>
awake????

Has anyone calculated it?

Just like the last photo shot of Travis in the shower people are seeing different things in his expression. While I don't want to see the naked shots (well 99% of me doesn't want to) for the sake of this debate I would have to see his facial expression, how tense his body is etc before I comment on how at ease he looked during the shots. I would also keep in mind, regardless, that he believed the shots would be erased later on, that I believe. Same thing on texts, let's be able to read the content before judging.

The thing with those last naked pictures is this....they were on HIS camera and his sim card or whatever it is called. So he probably assumed he would have control and delete.

just jumping off of you Cuckoohead!!

Ever wonder why Jodi never "accidentally" got pregnant to force Travis to marry her?

Imo. Jodi is a pychopath and some of them do not want children.

They dont want anyone getting attention other than themselves.

IMO

So did she!

Um... no. The way she brutally murdered him proves it. And I don't need a degree in anything to believe that.
That is an assumption.

So they just said on InSession that they are going to show the nude/sex pictures next week and that there is the one picture of JA with brown hair wearing it in pigtails. I wonder where she stopped and dyed her hair.

Jumping in. Just heard on InSession that Jodi did indeed have brown hair in pigtails and was naked in the pictures of her taken on the bed from the afternoon TA was killed. They said we will see them next week in testimony.

That's why I figured he was O.K. taking the pictures.

Thanks for the info. The main point of why I mentioned the club in Key West is because I remember the owner was also the artist who sang the song by the same name and that song IMO had very interesting lyrics about who's to blame and at fault.

HAHA! Great minds. I just posted the exact same thing. :)

Im not sure what that means.

By what your saying.. if I understand it... then you dont think men can be raped or coerced into sexual acts they really dont want to have?

imo
No I am saying that I have seen countless people imply
that because Travis was a man and had little sexual experience
that he was incapable of telling Jodi no.

Why isn't that idea insulting to OP?

  • #416
So did she!

How so? If it is presented as a last romp and then she leaves? It is his camera so it stays with him. What am I missing? Thanks.

LOL...it figures they would show the nudie pics the week I plan on going to watch. I really do not want to see her bits and pieces. Throwing up a little just thinking about it.

I am female and it's offensive to me. I have a problem with anyone of my sex blaming the man for misleading her and causing her to go loco. Come on ladies we have brains. I can read a guy pretty clearly if he is a player or someone who is a looking for a mate. We are adults and must be responsible for ourselves and one of those responsibilities is our refusal to let another person control/dictact our feelings and reactions.

I'm the one who wrote the original comment you all are responding to.... Those who engage in criminal activity will get dealt with by the law. That's great. But that's also beside my point...

I don't feel Travis or anyone else deserves to be murdered. I don't even truly believe in the death penalty, and I don't like war. So I'm not at all condoning or excusing Jodi Arias' actions. I am NOT. She was wrong all day and all night, in every book, every way.

But I am also not going to pretend that Travis was an angel, just because he's deceased.

Shady interaction should not become a "death sentence" for Travis or anyone else. But that doesn't make it okay to treat a person any old kind of way. It's not nice/healthy to call a woman denigrating names, tell your friends terrible things about her, and then still be occasionally sleeping with her and/or having phone sex.

You think it's cool for a man -- any man -- to act like that? When did guys like this start getting a pass? Again, it shouldn't warrant being murdered, but it's not smart / appropriate by any stretch.
