I'm still very curious about the crime scene photograph of the duct tape. I really hope that someone explains this.

Do you have a link to where Travis claimed to be a virgin?

TIA

I guess not, Travis claiming it and friends claiming Travis claimed to be are two different things.

PPL is not a scam but it is a Multi Level Marketing product. My friend signed up for it. She did not last long. It was hard for her to find a lot of people to pitch PPL to. As I understand, it not really selling Legal Services but signing up people to sign up people and so on. A person makes money bringing people on board.

That is somewhat true. However, in order to be MLM (vs. a pyramid scheme), in addition to making commission off your "recruits" you also must make money off the sale of your product (services). PPL (or Legal Shield) is often a benefit sold to employees through their employers. If you solely and only make $ off the people you recruit into the business and don't sell anything, that is a pyramid scheme.

Why does she deserve respect?

Okay I just have to speak my mind on respect. When I first meet a person I extend a little respect. Where the respect goes to from there depends on that persons actions. It can be earned or take a dump. Same thing with trust or like or love.

Agreed. Respect is earned, not given freely

Oh I'm so sorry I haven't had time to read nor watch all of this! Did she also bring duct tape? Plus a gun and a knife?

Why does she deserve respect?

I think what Sula means is that Travis obviously didn't know she was a psychotic murderess. So you would expect that he would have treated her with as much respect as he would have treated anyone else from his own moral perspective. That's where I think the double standard comes in. On one hand you can treat someone with as much respect as you think they deserve. On the other hand, you can associate intimately only with people that you respect so that your personal moral code doesn't vary. Hope that makes sense.

Sorry Sula if that's not what you meant :)

Where can I read about the 'I did it to defend myself' through the sister story? I am missing a half box of a jigsaw puzzle!

Yep, I agree 100%.

I don't agree with the previous post that she deserved respect (prior to being a murderer). Just because she is having sex with a guy doesn't mean he has to respect her. It doesn't look like TA respected her at all, but it doesn't look like she respected herself or TA either. She comes across as desperate and I'm sure that wasn't very attractive to TA either.

All I know about it is that one of the crime scene photos shows a twisted loop of duct tape and I believe it was found on the laundry room floor. I could be wrong about where it was found, though.

When the Defense Attorney says Jodi did it and there is no question about that, where did that come from? I know Jodi had to admit she was at Travis' home because of camera pics, handprint in blood and her blood being present. I am just not getting this part that she confessed, but not to police. Is there somewhere I can read about this? Thanks

Linda, I'm going to admit this only because I like you; I raise roaches. Yes that's right. Got a gigantic tub full of them right now. I need to go feed them soon. So, anyway, when they shed, they are white until their new skin dries and hardens. I imagine that's what he saw.

(disclaimer: the roaches are for my lizards)

Blaptica dubia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Totally OT but my nickname as a child was "white roach". I have no idea why I was called such other than the fact that I had hair so blonde that it was practically white. I always wondered what the heck "white roach" meant. My older sister called me that and I tattled to Daddy who suggested I start calling her "Metallic Pest" cuz she had braces.

Equally OT. My 20 year old stepson completely freaks out and screams like a lil biotch when he sees a roach. He picks up live snakes, armadillos possums and other such critters with no fear but a roach just terrifies him. His girlfriend was sitting on his lap once when a roach came across the porch and he launched her in the air at the roach and took off. So much for chivalry!!

OK back to our regularly scheduled programming. Carry on!!

I understand what you're saying but I don't think she deserved respect (even before he knew she was a psychotic murderess). From what we've heard so far, she threw herself at him, she stalked him, she aggressively pursued him. I know I have such dislike for her that I cannot be unbiased but just because she is a woman offering herself on a platter to a man does mean she should be respected. Of course, the right thing for him to have done would have been to disregard his physical hormones and shoo her away without giving into temptation. But really, this happens EVERY hour in the world with relationships - good sex can cloud the vision of the best of us!

It's hard to respect someone that has so little self respect for themselves.
