Chris Hughes' theory is that Jodi murdered Travis before he could repent for having sex with her so he would go to hell. In her warped interpretation of Mormonism he thinks she believes they will be together forever in hell.

How twisted. I don't know very much about LDS but Chris is very reassuring in his post that Travis' soul is just fine thank you very much! ;) (Link to Chris' statement upthread)
While I am not one to judge, some in LDS circles believe in the no second-chance theory....meaning (in their faith) that if Travis had the opportunity to repent of his sins in this life he is not guaranteed that opportunity in the next life. Meaning Chris Hughes' belief that Travis' soul will be okay in the next life may be wishful thinking (in mormon afterlife)

I really wonder now if these were the pictures shown in court.... I think I read autopsy photos that have been online were shown....would be interested to know if the jury got to see these as they sure would be evidence of HER evil handiwork...maybe all juries need to see autopsy photos before passing a verdict....maybe some of these horrid crimes would stop if some heavy punishment were meted out.:furious:

RIP Travis.

I didn't see the photobucket photos but they could be from the actual autopsy and not shown in court or not shown in court yet.

So it sounds like they are now being put out on different sites or did both links go to the same photobucket account?

Maybe the family saw them and contacted the owner. If he was my family I really would be upset about it.

I have thought all along I dont think Ive ever seen a case where so many graphic pictures have been shown on the internet. Even his naked body in the shower. He has been given no dignity in death.:(

IMO

The account number (address) for the two accounts was different.

I think the same....no dignity in death. But perhaps he would think it's worth it if it will do some ultimate good in the long run. Take this person off the streets before she hurts someone else. He seemed to be all about helping others.

The name of the account that the photos are/were in are the same of the now private account ... I went back in my history and checked .... stringtheory1

Thank you! I thought it was two different accounts.

Wonder who pulled the plug on it though? I guess it doesn't matter who it was, I'm glad the pictures were taken offline The particulars of this case are far more gruesome than any other case I've followed (just the graphic pictures I mean, not the crime itself). I swear it haunts my dreams sometimes.

I understand why people don't like to see the gruesome photos and find it invasive. But I've worked all my life at nursing homes, hospitals and in a profession where I see really difficult stuff all the time. I'm seen autopsies and the morgue's storage rooms full of body parts and I've seen and cleaned up after many dead people. The way I look at it, those grisly photos aren't of Travis at all. They are of his earthly container, and now have nothing to do with him. Maybe a coping mechanism. Idk. I can't look at these autopsy pics as easily as I can look at some others, just because the nature of the one injury in particular always makes me quesy and also because he reminds me so much of my friends young son.

I think it's important certainly for the jury, and maybe also for the general public, to see the aftermath. I'm sure that many people who have seen Jodi or know her and have heard about the case still would not believe the full extent of what she actually did unless they see it with their own eyes. If it makes one person go, wow, yeah, the petite little psycho I'm dating could do this, and saves their life, then that's a good thing and part of his legacy. Personally, I think he would want people to see and know. But that's jmo.

But I agree, I'm a big believer in closed casket for the family in most cases, and especially this one. And I'd much rather see the pics of him alive. In my younger days I probably would have tried to catch his eye ;)

ITA! It is very necessary for the jury to see what Jodi was capable of doing. Imo, it will convince them this had nothing to do with self defense. Any self defense that was done was by Travis frantically trying to save his life.

I have looked at many crime scene photos and autopsy photos as well over the years and I have to admit most dont bother me but the very nature of how Travis died bothers me greatly to look at his.....especially his throat being slit and you can literally see down his severed windpipe. The only thing that held his head on was his spine. :(

And I think she purposeful put him in the shower with his legs splayed a part so that the one who found him would see him in a humiliating postion. It wasnt enough for her to try to kill him three different ways but she also wanted to humilate him in death. One has to be evil and diabolical to take it that far.

Even when we attend funerals and there is an open casket......rarely do I view the body. I just would rather remember them the way they were when they were alive. I have even seen some that take photos of the dead in the casket and that is creepy to me. A long time ago in the south they would bring the body home and it would be in the living room and the funeral held there too. Not me......I would never want to remember my loved one being in a casket in my home.:what:

Well hi there my sweet friend.:seeya: LTNS!

Another tragic case panthera. There are way too many of them but I do think this is one of the worst when it comes to being heinous and cruel.

imo

Greetings, Ocean! :seeya:

This by far has to be one of the worst, mainly because of the deception involved and the victim being so brutally murdered inside his own home, by someone he knew and unfortunately must have trusted to allow her in there. Also knowing how far she traveled to get there, with the gun.....

MOO

They looked exactly like autopsy photos popsicle. Close up, clear and very graphic.

They show this man went through a horrible death.:(

I wanted to expand on what I said because I sure don't want to minimize the brutality of this crime in any way. But I think we've all read about crimes that were extremely brutal, like the Jessica Lunsford case. That poor little girl was buried alive. But the in your face crime scene photos that have been made available on the Internet of the victim in this crime speak so LOUDLY of how he suffered that it takes it to a whole new level IMO.

If the jury isn't moved by what they've seen in this trial, then I will lose all faith in juries whatsoever.

I agree 100% Princess ... I did not expect to see those photos and I wish I didn't :(

There were two links for the same account posted I think ... The user name I posted above had a sub folder labeled ME that the very graphic photos were posted in (I think there was a link to the account and another to the sub folder) ... No other photos or sub folders were posted in that persons account ... that I saw anyway .

If she had a single shred of remorse or feeling of guilt at all, she would have atleast covered him with a bath towel.
